Eddie made quick work of the following: 1. Install Ceiling Fan from Big Ass Fans. 2. Hang TV and run wires behind wall. 3. Add a Plug in the bathroom to hide SONOS speaker. 4. Install Nest IQ CAM. Eddie said he would be there at 7:30am and showed up on the nose. Communicating through text and email was quick and smooth. The ceiling fan I purchased was larger in diameter than the one I was replacing. Eddie said, no worries, we can move the box and patch the ceiling. That way it will be installed with plenty of clearance to the wall and as a side benefit is more centered in the room. If I could give zero stars, I would. This review isn't for bad service; it's for NO service and rudeness to boot. This guy Eddie came highly rated on Angie's List so we decided to give it a shot. We'd called another electrician a couple of weeks prior and he never called us back, so we were pleased when Eddie said he could meet us this morning, January 8th, at 8am to start the minor work we needed in the house. Let's recap what ACTUALLY happened (and I have the conversation screen shots from my wife so this isn't hearsay on my part): 1) Eddie sends my wife a text (not a call; a text) at 7:40am stating that he knocked on the door, no one answered, and he decided to leave. Weird how that's possible when I was downstairs making my lunch right by both available doors and I didn't hear a knock, never mind the three he says he performed. And how much of a cop-out is it to text vs. calling the number to speak to someone in the house? 2) My wife points out to him that he came earlier than he stated, "knocked", and then left early. She asks when he plans to come back. He states that he's already on the way to another job (AGAIN, he showed up early and was gone by the time I left the house at 7:45am ahead of his stated arrival time of 8am) and that he didn't know when he would be coming back. 3) At that point, my wife says "fine, we'll use someone else" which begins to elicit responses of emojis and "no wonder the other guy fell through". First off, I didn't realize people who aren't 14 year-old girls use emojis, especially when you're a professional speaking with a customer. Secondly, way to be a professional; between the text vs. call cowardice and the antagonizing of a lost customer, I'm pretty sure the high rankings on Angie's List had to have come from his close friends and family. Does this guy not know about social media and sites like Yelp? If you're a jerk, people are going to find out! Anyway, if you're looking to hire a professional electrician who won't leave you hanging, treats customers with respect and can spell out "you", "thanks" and avoid emojis when he texts said customers (you know, like an adult) then look elsewhere. I rarely write reviews, but the service we received from Eddie was so exceptional I feel obligated to post something. We had an overloaded circuit that was causing us to lose power in our kitchen every time we turned on the dishwasher. When I called another electrician, I was told that this would be at least a full day job at $200/hour.
