The unseen footage left for food vendors... Medium sized parking capacity peaks when diners picking up eats and delivery drivers converge at the same time. (Evenings). The associate at service counter courteous, very helpful with answers to service & order related questions. Only 3 vendors available with slenderized menu. (Didar Persian Foods, Bobjip, Pupuseria Las Cabanas). All others either departed or taking a seasonal siesta. New vendors arriving in January. The kiosks easy to use albeit slow either due to software issues or designed lethargy to allow users to digest data provided. Names were called out when orders were ready. Text messages also utilized. My iphone didn't get one. It's busy porting from Xfinity to Verizon. No internet either. Not much decor. Just East Bay Eats painted on one wall. Adjacent wall has seemingly random lines of color. 3.5 stars YMMV.

Although the burger didn't need any condiments, I do wish the patty had a bit of a stronger kalbi flavor. I'd get it again but would probably try other things on the menu before revisiting this. I decided on two of the tacos because it was a different option than I'm used to being available, because it had Korean flavored proteins. I chose the spicy pork and kalbi. I was given a choice of corn or flour tortillas which I appreciated. The employee was patient with me as I placed my order. It was my first time visiting this establishment so I took my time reading the menu descriptions. She also advised me my order would take about 10 minutes to be ready. I also found that helpful. I was able to find a seat and even check out a couple other stalls. I didn't realize I would pick up my order at the other end of the stall near the meat counters. I actually think my number had been called but I was expecting to retrieve my order from the same counter I ordered from. The tacos were tasty and had a even filling ratio. Each bite was good. I decided to split my street tacos into two by dividing up the filling. It made me think I was eating a larger portion. I preferred the flavor of the kalbi taco. The meal was satisfying enough. I might try the ma'cho nachos, kbbq burrito or Korean fried chicken next time. All in all I say give it a try. I love when a fusion concept works.

UNDERNEATH THE SAUCE…read more Rarely do I shop at Southland Mall however I was there two Wednesdays ago when I shopped at Champs Sports and Foot Locker. After shopping, for lunch I decided to eat at Adrienne's Wild Wings. I'm a sucker for wings, but I've never been to Adrienne's Wild Wings before. I asked the cashier what sauce she would recommend. She stated one of the sauces she liked was honey garlic. I ordered 10-piece combo that included ten wings, side order, and dessert. For the side order I choose tater tats while for the dessert I selected cheesecake. The 10-piece combo comes with two sauces. I choose honey butter, which is the dry rub, and honey garlic. I believe sauces should be used for flavoring not hiding. What do I mean by that? I've noticed sometimes sauces mask how dry the meat is. I decided to taste the honey butter first to see how moist the meat is inside. After taking a bite two things came to mind. First I couldn't taste the honey butter. Second the meat was moist. I tried the honey garlic. The cashier said the honey garlic was spicy. However I felt the honey garlic was spicy at all. Yet the honey garlic sauce was very flavorful. What did I like more the honey butter or honey garlic? I say this was toss up as I can taste more of the meat from the honey butter, yet I can enjoy the sauce of the honey garlic. The tater tots were disappointing as they were bland. The cheesecake was light. I don't shop at Southland Mall often. If I go back Southland Mall and become hungry for lunch I can see myself going back to Adrienne's Wild Wings.

*UPDATED REVIEW*…read more Came back here about a week later and wanted to give it another try. I saw they had a special on their menu for the boneless buffalo chicken ranch fries and went for it. It did not disappoint. It completely hit the spot and I would order it again. Now that I've tried the wings, popcorn chicken, and the chicken fries, I probably only have the chicken tenders left to try. This spot is definitely good enough to add to the rotation of spots when deciding to eat out. Also helps with having neighboring food spots in the food court to mix and match.

Joe's Pho is a casual restaurant with a huge dining room as well as a huge menu of Vietnamese eats…read more The selection goes well beyond your typical pho and banh mi and includes a number of regional specialties too. For example, the Cha Ca La Vong (a Hanoi specialty) was boneless pieces of lightly fried turmeric-coated white fish, served on a hot plate with onions, dill, peanuts, and fried shallots, along with a plate of lettuce leaves, herbs, cucumbers, pickled carrots/daikon, rice noodles, a crunchy rice cracker, and fish sauce, all for making individual lettuce wraps with the pieces of fish. Though I loved the presentation of this dish, the fish was surprisingly bland and flavorless. From central Vietnam, the Mi Quang was a noodle soup made with thick rice noodles in a savory broth, along with chicken drumstick, shrimp, quail eggs, a rice cracker, and greens/herbs/bean sprouts on the side. While this was a tasty dish, it was missing a core defining element: yellow turmeric rice noodles. Hailing from southern Vietnam, a highlight dish for me was the Xoi Ga Da Don, featuring a mound of green (pandan) sticky rice, surrounded by a plethora of savory toppings including fried chicken skin and shredded meat, pickled carrots/daikon, fried shallots, and Chinese sausage--a delicious combination of crunchy textures and umami goodness to pair with the chewy green rice! Finally, the Bun Tom Thit Nuong Va Cha Gio was a classic southern Vietnamese vermicelli bowl with rice noodles, greens, herbs, cucumbers, bean sprouts, picked carrots/daikon, peanuts, grilled pork, grilled shrimp, and an egg roll, served with nuoc cham (sweet fish sauce). This simple dish was executed nicely, and the meaty, seafoody, earthy flavors all came together with the rice noodles and fresh vegetables. As tasty as all the dishes were, there was one more surprise waiting at the end: a complimentary self-serve dessert bar. Granted, the selection wasn't huge, but they had a soft serve machine (which turned out thick, sweet ice cream), fruit cocktail, and freshly made pandan waffles. Not a bad way to finish off our meal!

We saw a street parking as soon as we turn, and just parked even though it was 1000 ft away. The drink/cocktail list is vast, but we are not much of a cocktail drinker and not usually drink during lunch, but I saw Matcha Sharka being ordered a lot and the other seemingly popular drink was this lavender drink. If you are a cocktail drinker during lunch, do check them out. We ordered 4 shareable items: * Savoy Donuts - 5 stars - fluffy and yummy, not greasy at all * Focaccia w/ Meyer Lemon and Garlic Confit - 4.5 stars - wonderful texture, did not taste the garlic much but the lemon was really good add. * Grilled Beef and Pork Chipolata - 4 stars - I think the star was the dressing. The meat itself was just okay. * Rice Vermicelli Bowl - 4.5 stars - not sure why it is called a bowl when it was served more in a plate. This is the fusion take on the Vietnamese dish with different dressing. We selected the Galangal Pork, which I did not like as much compared to the usual Vietnamese ones with Lemon Grass. There is a choice to select Lemongrass chicken instead, so you might want to try that. The pork tasted "porky" despite it was thinly cut. I was hoping to try dessert, but we were full so we did not do that. Next time. The restaurant is nicely set, and you can select indoor or outdoor seating. We did make a reservation, but when we arrived there were plenty of tables available. Service was fine, we did not get the "is this your first time" greeting as I heard other tables got.
