    Nachos and esquite
    Brandon F.

I've seen this place so many times and I'm glad I gave it shot! The menu is pretty extensive. The workers there greeted us upon our arrival and were very nice. They speak both Spanish and English. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is very nicely decorated but I was unfortunately not able to eat there since I was running short on time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered 2 agua frecas and they both hit the spot!!! The nachos were good. Nothing special to them but I wasn't craving loaded nachos. The esquite nachos were bomb! This is a good spot to hit for some traditional and non traditional Mexican snacks! They also have crepes and alcohol options! I will be back for sure! There is tons of parking which is great especially because street parking in the area is few to none. Love this place.

I saw Yoyo's vending at one of the West Oakland / Prescott night markets, so I decided to try their strawberry horchata, 24oz, which cost $10. It mostly just tasted like horchata; there are actual strawberry pieces in it which I appreciated it, but overall I wanted the strawberry flavor to be a little more prominent and the price was a little on the high side for a drink.

10/10 on the aguas frescas. Came back the next day and tried the frescandia y pepino agua fresca. Very refreshing!!

I happened to stumble upon Yoyo's Botaneria as I was picking up Chai Thai on the same block. Place looked very inviting with outdoor seating, bright and welcoming interior. This first visit I decided to get a mango-passionfruit agua fresca...refreshing on a hot day but a tad sweet (for me) so let the ice melt a bit. Nevertheless, delicious. Yo-yo's Botaneria offers varies sweet and savory snacks with their popular items: YUCATECAN MARQUESITAS - Mexican crepe, filled with different sweet fillings, including condensed milk or queso de bola (edam cheese) and rolled. EMPAPELADOS - protein (shrimp, bacon, asada, chorizo or veggie) on a base of corn, mayonnaise, cotija cheese, butter, lime, salsa macha. NOTE: If you have a nut allergy, they have a salsa macha using peanuts vs pepitas. This Mexican condiment is spicy, smoky, nutty made with a base of oil, dried chilies, garlic, and salt. Items I'll need to try next time along with their strawberry horchata! The gentleman at the counter was truly helpful, friendly and patient explaining their offerings. They've been at the new location on Mission for about 3 months moving from a kitchen incubator located on E14th. Now they have their own brick-and-mortar in a beautiful space. Plenty of indoor and outdoor (some shaded) seating with a private lot and street parking. Great spot to enjoy your treats with this warm weather.

So you know when you have those moments when you are exposed to something new and you think, where has this been all my life? That just happened to me here at Yoyo's. First, the place is so cute, bright and fresh. The decor is adorable! They have a great patio for a sunny day. I ordered the pineapple guava Agua fresco and it was really good. Then I had the Camarones Empapolado. It was rich in flavor with plenty of mushrooms, peppers, shrimp and corn - topped with mayo and cotija cheese. Lastly I had to have a marquesita with strawberries and Nutella. I was so quick to get into that that I forgot to take a picture. The service was great! Super friendly. I cannot wait to come back and try all the other things on the menu, especially the different micheladas.

Found this place through TikTok! When social media leads you to great places! Yay. We came to try their Marquesitas & then also tried their Fresada. I will admit that the Fresada was not my favorite. It was a bit sour and just didn't hit the right spot for me. The Marquesita was great! Mine, somehow, was a bit crunchier than the other person who I was with. Not a big deal but I just had to be more careful. This place is really cute, it's pretty spacious. They have some outdoor seating & will bring you your order. They also give you the Marquestias in these cute ceramic containers. The presentation is great. I didn't have a chance to interact much with the staff, but the cashier left a great impression. She was kind and welcoming. She helped us figure out what we wanted and made sure we really knew what each item was. This was a great experience and i'm so happy to see their business thriving and flourishing!

Wanted something sweet and found this place on yelp. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Not busy when we came in and it was clean and cute, all the staff were very nice especially the cashier.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I asked about the Marquesitas and he said that they ran out of strawberries so he gave me other suggestions and I ended up getting one with nutella and banana, and my fiancé got the guava pineapple agua fresca. I thought the marquesita was just gonna be a crepe rolled up but it tasted a little different and the texture was crunchy (be careful i accidentally cut the roof of my mouth) but it was still good, I think next time I wanna try one with the cheese because it was very similar to a crepe but crunchy. The guava drink was so good too, we would definitely come back and try some other things on the menu.

Love this place but the hot Cheeto esquite bowl had barely any corn in it ): and the nachos bowl could have way more cheese in it too):

The meat, mushroom& corn dish. So delicious!!!

Tasty food items. Highly recommend the meat& corn dish, so yummy. Nutella & banana, can't go wrong. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ultra clean & modern looking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Friendly service.

You must tey the seasonal items! The unique flavors of coconut atole and nuez atole and the soft tamales are a must. Stop by before they go away!

I've normally intended to write a review but my food gets swallowed up before I get the chance to remember! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is good vibes! Mexican bachata music jamming typically! At this moment, it's "Bailando Bachata" by Chayanne.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] To thrive as a snack spot in these parts where there are also nearby botanerias is amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are plants and decor that make you want to stay and dine in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have an outdoor space where a DJ has come by to set the mood![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Tip! Please do yourself a favor and go to the salsa bar and try out those toppings to add a little bit of crunch or spice to your savory snacks! I love the pumpkin seed salsa macha (I think it's called)!!! They take and deliver your orders with a kind smile. It's hard to resist Yoyo's! My faves: -Rusa Preparada (grapefruit drink with chamoy on the side) -Piña Guava (another refreshing drink) -Empapelados (shrimp or veggie)

Sabroso Empapelado (asada) Sabroso Empapelado (asada)

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Ate outside which was such a nice day[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . Everyone was super friendly and recommended items . Definitely a place to visit when you want just something to snack on . Doesn't fill you up but a meal in between a meal .

It has the perfect consistency and texture, so it has been on the top of my list to stop by whenever I'm in the area. We stopped by on a Sunday at noon and there were only a few customers inside. It's small but cozy and clean. I wanted to try all of the flavors - regular, chili oil scallion, and corn cheese. The regular was the best out of the other two in my opinion since it was simple but the bread could have been crisper even though it was warmed up. The other two flavors were very oily and too heavy. Glad I finally tried it, but I think I'm just going to stick to their macaroons.

Unfortunately, the customer service has been consistently disappointing. This isn't based on one bad experience--the cashier is rude and unfriendly every single time I visit. As a regular customer, it's discouraging to be greeted with the same cold attitude every visit. A simple smile, greeting, or friendly attitude would make a huge difference. If the customer service matched the quality of the donuts, this would easily be a 5-star review. Great food deserves great customer service, and right now the two just don't match.

Stumbled upon World's Fare Donuts and knew it was the spot to be at as soon as we walked in, saw a long line, every table was taken with people enjoying coffee, donuts and doing their lotto scratchers. Line moved quickly, but you definitely felt the pressure to know what you wanted when it was your turn. Prices are a bit cheaper than most donut shops in the bay area. While we only tried a Maple Bar, Raised Crumb and 3 dozen donut holes (under $10), I wanted to try so many of the other flavors. The Maple bar wasn't your traditional light brown color, it was more yellow which threw us off. The raised crumb had more flavor than other places that I've tried. Great consistency and fluff in the donuts. It appears they have a lot of self serve coffee options and a full wall of lotto scratchers. My in-laws would love it here since this is their thing.
