I have some history here that comes into play. First visit was 10 years ago with my kids. Food was so bad I refused to ever return. Friends all raved about the place but my experience was so bad I wouldn't go back. Fast forward to 2 years ago, I was forced to go there by friends that had planned a graduation party there. On that visit I had pizza and beer which were both VERY GOOD! They were off of my no fly list and I returned last year during Covid. They were overwhelmed and understaffed so the service was almost non existent. I literally had to get my own silverware. They get a pass because of Covid. Everyone told me their steak tips were great so we got those. They were the worst steak tips I ever had. They were undercooked, no flavor and a chewy stringy mess. None of us could eat it. Manager apologized and said they had not been marinated like they unusually are. He gave me a $50 gift card to give them another shot which leads me to last night and the ONLY reason we returned. As we walked in the door we were greeted by a stench that almost turned us right around. The odor of dirty bar mats and stale beer was overwhelming on the first level. This made me hyper vigilant on their cleanliness. I understand the place is old but it needs a deep clean in the worst way. At least dust! Again, as I write this I wonder why I didn't walk. If the places I can see are that dirty, how dirty is the kitchen? Silverware was also dirty and had to be returned. For food we decided to play it safe and got pizza and the kids got chicken wings and potato skins. We had to pay extra to get bacon on the already overpriced potato skins? Otherwise it would have been a little cheese on a half potato, hardly loaded skins. The chicken fingers were actually good (probably frozen), the pizza was vey good as was the service. My beer (blueberry) was just ok. Bottom line is I will never return. If you go, stick to the pizza, but don't go if you can help it. I am giving 2 stars based solely on the pizza and service. read more

This was my first time dining at the Eagle Brook Saloon and I wasn't sure what to expect...turned out to be a great place! We really enjoyed the comfortable and cozy rustic atmosphere. There are many TV's and it is a bit loud inside. Looks like a fun place to watch a football game and the beer selection is impressive. For food I ordered the roasted lemon chicken and my girlfriend got a small pizza with a meatball topping. Both were very tasty, especially the pizza. My chicken was moist and flavorful with a wonderfully crispy skin. I wasn't crazy about the mashed potatoes because they had a tangy taste, maybe sour cream. Will return...thanks Eagle! read more

Friday afternoon (later in the day) visit with my wife, sat in the bar at a high top. Server was super nice, attentive and checked in with us to make sure we were all set. I had the burger and fries, it was good but not as big a burger as I would have expected, did not fill out the bun and was just a bit overcooked, more well done than med well as ordered. Wife had the salmon salad which she said was very good, fish was fresh and greens were fresh as well. We will be back, just might not order the burger again. read more

Simply put, it's the best. The service staff is always great, and the bartenders are also awesome. Their pizza is homemade (I used to work in the kitchen) and their chili and beef stew are just awesome. It isn't often you can go to a place where they brew their own beer, but here you can get about 10 types! Something for everyone. Don't forget to try the crispy Buffalo wings! read more

The Western styled Saloon and attached Country Store give every indication of a place on the far side of tacky, but its not. Here it just adds a lift to a warm friendly vibe. A place that at the same time shows equal parts of boisterous and casual, the smokey char in the air gives away that something special is going on, even before you step inside. Food choices drift strongly toward moderately priced hearty meals. Some choices turn out better than most. The Roasted Garlic Rib-Eye is often a solid feed, but my go to order here is for the pizza. You know there's something going on when you spot the constant line of folks walking into the bar to pick up to-go orders. As many as you'd find at a corner pizza shop. Now its not incredibly Neapolitan, but the pizza here is fresh and tasty, and I think at its best when it echoes the BBQ flavors popular here. My pie is an order topped with toasted Bacon and Green Peppers, much better than it would sound, believe me. The Eagle Brook is also part proper bar, or Saloon, and serves its own brews as well. We were sat, but unfortunately a waitress didn't come over for 15 minutes. While we waited for our beers, (blueberry ale still the best), we were battling ravenous flies. How have I not written this review yet? We are Eagle Brook obsessed - pre-COVID we had our wedding rehearsal dinner here. We love going here to eat and we have been getting takeout since COVID happened. We liked the buffalo chicken pizza and the growlers of beer for takeout. They are an awesome local business and have always supported local school groups and sports teams. When they can re-open fully, consider booking the upstairs for an event. We used the large party room for our rehearsal and the rest of our family and friends were able to sit in the tables upstairs around us so we could continue the party after! read more

I went in with low expectations because of what friends had told me, but I thought it was pretty decent. I ordered the roast beef dip sandwich, not bad. The au jus was a bit bland, watered down flavor. The wings are FANTASTIC. Fries were tasty. The chili, tons of cheese and tortilla chips for dipping. Very meaty, I don't think there were any beans, few tomatoes. Nice, casual atmosphere for after work beers. We've gone back for the wings a few times, still good. Order them crispy. read more

We wound up here not by choice, but because it was July 3rd and alternatives were closed for the holiday. We were rewarded with the saloon being open, but that was about it. The service was friendly, if a little slow, while the food was below the Mendoza line. The buffalo wings were all shapes and sizes, grossly humongous down to odd, tiny fragments. The wings were almost, nearly, but not quite ordinary and seemed to be lacking the all-important buffalo sauce. The best part about the wing order was a healthy (in size, not physiologically) serving of bleu cheese. Next up, chicken parm sub. Everyone gets this right, right? Wrong. Maybe you are a person who finds the best in things and will find the wall-papered decor and restaurant atmosphere/aroma charming or authentic to the old west. Well worth the visit. We had a baby shower there for friend and co-worker. The server was Jeanene. Very patient, knowledgeable of all items, specials etc. Had no problem doing separate checks. We had about 14 people in party. No mistakes or returns. Very attentive and always concerned with keeping the flow going. Remembered all the names. Really great. Went on a Saturday night, I haven't seen service that slow before. In their slight defense it was quite busy, but after waiting 45 minutes for a table of 6, we were seated outside and then didn't see wait staff for 30 minutes. They hadn't even taken a drink order. When we spoke up to the manager 90 minutes after being seated and had only received corn bread to that point they tried to redeem themselves. So I would give 4.5 stars for the service after the manager addressed the situation, but the 2 hours prior I would give zero stars. I grew up loving this place and it always remind me of weekends with my mom and dad. But the last time we came just wasn't very enjoyable. We had a party of 5 and they stuck us upstairs in a tiny room to ourself. We kinda came to the bar for atmosphere and they stuck us alone. And then the potato skins weren't cooked very well and we didn't eat them. One good part is the free small pizza when you buy a pizza! But other than that the food was just ok. Finally checked this place out considering I've lived in Norfolk for a little bit now. It's much bigger inside than I had thought from the outside. I went on Memorial Day as this was one of the few places still open when we had returned from traveling all weekend. They seemed pretty busy; but for some reason our waitress was a little bit slower than others around us. If we hadn't seen other waitresses, and even our own visiting other tables so frequently I wouldn't even comment, but we just felt like we had a while to wait in between sightings of her, while the table next to us saw her quite frequently. The food was pretty good, but nothing above and beyond something I've had elsewhere. WE split the onion ring appetizer, which was pretty good. And then we each had a pizza... We aren't sure if this is a Monday deal or not,but ordering a small pizza also gets you a free small cheese pizza. Our waitress kind of just jumped through that explanation and quickly stated she would just put it in a box for us, so we didn't really have a chance to rethink our meal decisions if this pizza was in fact added in. When the food came out we each had our pizza and each had a to go cheese pizza just waiting for us. The pizzas were decent, but again, nothing above and beyond that I would recommend here over somewhere else. For me, I'll definitely be back, but most likely for the bar seating area/atmosphere as I'd like to experience that area of the restaurant, as the menu is kind of comfort food, and we all have nights we want to not cook and just be cooked for without the elegance/dress up as a 5 star crazy expensive place. read more

So this place isn't half bad. I have lived in this area all my life, and have only been frequenting Eagle Brook over the past year or so. I haven't had a chance to sample the beers, but their meals are tasty. Everything comes out hot, and fresh... and is absolutely delicious! There are only two drawbacks. 1) The last time we went it seemed the a/c wasn't working properly. They didn't tell us, so instead we sat down and it didn't really hit us until after we ordered. By that time we were starving, and our daughter (who is 9 months) was already miserable. I really didn't feel like putting her in the car to go somewhere else. We just ate our food as quickly as possible and left. 2) If you don't want to feel like an outsider, don't go on a Friday or Saturday night. That is usually when the townies hang out and get drunk together. Which isn't a big deal if you like that sort of thing. read more

I've gone to this restaurant numerous times, having grown up in Wrentham. I will not go again. I booked a party with their management for 10; requested a room with electrical outlets because I had a presentation I was giving. The day of the reservation I called because I hadn't heard anything and was a bit concerned nobody called to confirm. I was told they moved my party to table near the bar upstairs. I explained it was unacceptable because I had a presentation and was told a party of 40 needed the room so they bumped me. I had to call everyone last minute, some already en route to the restaurant, and have them come to my house. Friends had to stop and pick up alcohol and snacks because I was not prepared to host. I scrambled around finding chairs and rearranging furniture in my living room to accommodate all the people. Completely unprofessional on their behalf and I have not and will not give them my service again. read more

A nice little find! An institution in Norfolk for many years I guess, but this was our first time in. A Friday night visit brought us to the EBS around 5:30. Having only driven by a handful of times I was surprised to see how large the parking lot was in back. A long narrow area but it certainly packed the cars in. Pro Tip: drive slow as navigating can be tight depending how folks park. After walking around to the front door, (not sure if there was a back entrance) we were lucky enough to get in and score one of the last remaining tables on the first floor. (By the end of our meal there were quite a few folks waiting.) The atmosphere was fun with an old rustic saloon vibe that had plenty of nooks and crannies to draw ones attention. It kind of reminded us of the old Cactus Pete's up in Worcester, but slightly more authentic. Definitely a family spot rather than a restaurant for a quiet date-night. It was a bit dark in the corner where we were seated, and a glance around the area suggested that it might be time for a good deep-clean of the place. Nothing gross, but time for attention nonetheless. Their beer selection was pretty solid. If you are into craft beers, they offered a little something for everyone. My wife had their Blueberry Ale and I had the Gold Rush IPA. Both were pretty damn tasty. Some great choices on the menu. We started with their Italian Fried Cheese (mozzarella triangles) which came out hot, and were a nice change up from your standard mozzarella sticks. After listening to our server, we decided to stick with one of their specialties, the pizza. Both my Smokehouse pizza and my wife's pizza were exceptional. Great crust and fresh toppings. Couldn't ask for more. While I've read where others have complained about aspects of their service, our's this night was great. The server what knowledgeable, made what I felt were honest recommendations, and hit all her spots. Again, this was a snapshot in time, but on a busy Friday night service was spot on. Pros: A solid menu selection for casual family dining, tasty food & beer. Cons: Tight, don't expect much dining privacy. Place needs a good cleaning. I've been to the Eagle Brook several times. It's a convenient jump off spot for most nights out. Lots of parking. Food is really hit or miss. I've been fine but after last nights visit I can now count two friends who've felt ill after eating the food. The wait staff is friendly but often disappear. Last night the meals came out in horrid order, some people were almost finished before other meals came out and after all that the appetizer never came. I grew up in this area and bring my family to the Eagle Brook every year when I visit. We go with another couple and their son and usually drop about $200 on food/drinks and leave $40-$50 tips. Tonight's experience was TERRIBLE. For context, the restaurant was 1/3 to 1/2 full, and our waitress had two tables. The waitress, Mikayla, took half the table's drink order and walked away. When she returned, she brought my son a water (he ordered a sprite), and was rude when I asked why she hadn't taken the full table's drink order at the same time. Not a big deal, but certainly a foreshadowing of the service to come. She took our food orders, left the menus on the table and it took nearly 45 min. to get our food. Some of the food we ordered came; it was all given to my husband and she held the next plate of food until he realized that he was supposed to pass the plates around (?). The steak tips were charred to a crisp, the "mashed" potatoes were barely warm and barely mashed, and neither my husband nor my youngest son got their food AT ALL. After 15 min. without being checked in on, Mikayla passed by and I called her over. I asked where the other food was, and she said that my son (4 years old) only ordered mashed potatoes (not true, my husband ordered the baked chicken dinner for him), and said that my husband didn't order anything for himself (what?!!). After our friend told her that my husband ordered the same thing that he did, she turned, didn't apologize, and walked off. About 10 min. later, she returned with a dry chicken breast that was literally baked in the oven with no seasoning (not even salt/pepper) and my husband's stew. Again, no apologies. A couple of us ordered another drink so that my husband and son could eat their dinner, and she never checked back in on us. As she was walking by, I asked her for the check - she did not even turn around, but did bring the check shortly thereafter. She finally said that she was sorry for the mix-up, just in time to get a tip. Sorry, Mikayla, that wasn't enough to rectify your service. The dry chicken breast was comped, so we tipped her the amount that would have cost - the tip she received fully reflected her service. Our group was standing in the parking lot to chat a bit, and Mikayla ran out with the bill in her hand to say "thank you" - not sure what she was looking to get out of that interaction, but she was obviously angry and her thank you was sarcastic. Eagle Brook, I look forward to when you are able to hire more mature staff who understand that folks are willing to drop a decent amount of money on a tip for good service. read more

Eagle Brook is my neighborhood dive, and even though we live minutes from Patriot Place, we usually choose Eagle Brook over Bar Louie and especially CBS Scene. First of all, the prices are really reasonable. They have all the usual suspects in terms of pub fare, and great pizzas, at good prices. Weekdays, there's a 2 for 1 deal on their pizzas. They have entrees as well, but we always go late, and that's when they stick to the appetizer menu. Second, and most important for my guy friends, they have lots of their own beers on tap. I've had a few, and they were lovely, but as I'm not a beer drinker, I stick to harder but mixed drinks. They are not cheap with the booze, let me tell you. You will get your money's worth with all drinks. Third, the staff is great, and they already know us well. We love having a place where they really do know our name!! If we don't know what to have and ask them to bring what they think we might like, they have always been correct. They also put oranges in the Blue Moon, and blueberries in their own blueberry beer. So yummy. Fourth and last, I like the fact that I can be loud at Eagle Brook. When I get a few in me, I can't control the volume of my voice, so it's nice to know they don't care. There's music on, sports on the TVs and everyone else is having a great time. My cousin introduced me to this place one Friday evening after work, and I liked it so much that I was back with my boyfriend the following night, even though we don't really live nearby. He was also a big fan! Show him a place with micro brews and good pub food, and he is a very happy boy! I ordered the chili the first time and shepherd's pie the second. Both were phenomenal! The chili had a perfect kick to it, and was delicious and filling! I was somewhat thrown off by the shepherd's pie not having any pie crust (how is it pie without pie crust?), but it ended up being so delicious that I really didn't miss it at all! Our waitress was fantastic! Even though it was a very busy Saturday night, she paid very close attention to our needs and had a smile on her face the entire time. We could have stayed there for hours trying the different beers, but alas, we had to be responsible adults (boooo) and kept it to 2 beers each. We'll have to figure out a way to sucker someone else into driving us next time. We were big fans. We will definitely be returning here! read more

Nasty. Don't know how this place is open still. My coworkers got the pizza to go a couples times, every time it has been extremely greasy, has hairs in it, and/or under cooked and raw. I can't imagine how many people have gotten food poisoning from here. I can imagine it's good for beers but stay away from the food!
