I ordered a chicken pizza last night. I thought its description was misleading because it said ''bar-b-que chicken''. In reality,it is the sauce that is definitely a BBQ,not the chicken cooked in it. I am quite sure it came from a bag pre-cooked,that's why it was dry and some bites were pretty chewy,also,it had that taste,which cooked chicken develops on the 2nd,3rd day...Anyhow,even if it was grilled before it was packed,I couldn't tell since it wasn't freshly grilled. The sauce tasted like any BBQ sauce from a bottle and some areas on pizza had a thicker layer of it,so at times,the taste was overpowering. If it was a pizza that someone made at home and gave me a few slices,it'd be ok,but when you pay 14$ at the restaurant,you should get something better. Edit: Jan 2017 Fish and chips and coleslaw were bland,the breading on the fish was greasy and tasteless...wrong type of chips,but they tasted ok,so did my Cola. Yep. A small town saloon and restaurant. I like the rustic atmosphere, and the food is generally fantastic. I was a bit disappointed in the tamales during their Fiesta Night. My wife had enchaladas, which were fantastic. Been there for breakfasts and lunches while working in the area. Definitely a place to stop and eat. Good grief... the generally mostly full parking lot should be enough of an indication that this is a great place to stop and eat. read more

This is a pleasant restaurant. My husband and his friends eat here and would never go to a tavern but they go here because it's more like a restaurant with good food choices and reasonable prices. This is a place my family and I frequent. The service is so great and everyone is so kind I have had never a bad meal here in the past 3 years of going there. I prefer to either get the LB 1/2 pound burger. It is the best burger that you can get around the area. The second is choice I get is the Double Play Pizza that normally comes with Canadian bacon and Pineapples. I substitute the pineapples with mushrooms that are to die for!!! The Saloon is a family friendly restaurant that also caters to those in need of a date night once and a while. The prices are very reasonable and there is a special every night... Call them and find out what the special is today. The taps on the bar are rotated frequently and filled with local Brewers product like Bent Shovel Brewing... Everyone should try that beer. The staff is great! Megan takes great pride in her work. The kitchen is meticulously cleaned every day and I have witnessed this as we have been here until closing time. If I could give it less, I would. Came here with a friend before who lives in the area. Chicken fried steak was uncooked. It might has well been moving still. Then today (I'm writing this from the parking lot), walk in to all the tables a mess and the woman working saying "It'll be just one second kids". Then, after standing in the doorway for 5 minutes with another person waiting for a table and another group walking in, the woman says "if you can find a spot somewhere, have a seat." My husband had steak and shrimp and I had a Philly steak. He said his food was good and I really liked the steak in my Philly! I love that they offer tater tots and my food was served with fries but she quickly fixed that and brought the tots I had ordered. However the have some pretty tasty fries! Right now I am eating my leftovers, I took the extra fries and put some bacon and cheese on top microwaved that and typed with some sour cream Mmmmmm..... I'm going to have to go back there just to order them that way!! I ordered an omelet and the vegetables were not cooked or incorporated into the omelet. Just cold peppers, onions, and ham in the center of a burned egg disc. My boyfriend ordered a burger. Which was supposed to be 2/3 lbs. It was 2 - 1/3 patties. The meat was over cooked and the fried were underdone in the middle. Our food took an hour to come out. Overall terrible experience for such a fun area with so many cute options and a place that has so much potential. Also, the prices were quite high for the quality of food. Go eat at Calamity Janes even if the reviews are lower. Big bummer! read more

After 6 attempts to find something redeemable about this place, I think it's time to give up. The food is not good. The service, always second to the food in my mind, is also not good. The food: pretty much the kind of generic stuff that comes out of the back of a Sysco delivery truck. I've tried the burgers, on par with bad fast food. The "famous hand tossed pizza" tasted like they used pre made crust that was bland and toppings that tasted like they came out of a bag. Everything else has been a solid meh. The service: the staff seem pretty high strung, like the management is breathing down their necks. I've had some pretty simple requests rejected, like asking for a small side of fries and not a giant basket. Simple stuff like this but staff don't seem to be given the freedom to make these calls. Why did it take so long to see the writing on the wall? I live down the road and it was so convenient! Time to move on. read more

Pretty much the best place to eat in town. Their prime rib is the best (it's smoked) and service has always been top notch. I've read the other reviews on here and I just don't get why people think service was slow or lacking. We just moved to Estacada from Portland and thus is really the only restaurant where food "compares" - most places in town seem to have the same menu and same "just ok" food.
