Love Eagle Hill for their bfast sandies but gave their lunch menu a try today and we were not disappointed! Ate too quickly to snap pics but I had the chicken bacon ranch panini which was delish and my fiancé loved his chicken chipotle. Each one was $12 and comes with a small bag of cape cod kettle chips (100 cal bag). Cashier was nice as always and inside is small but cozy. Worst customer service experience I have EVER received. I order a plain bagel with bacon and cheese(which was $8) and an onion bagel with cream cheese. A pretty simple order, one might think. Wrong. We walk all the way home and realize my plain bagel had cheese, bacon and cream cheese. And my onion bagel had cream cheese and bacon. After walking all the way back and kindly explaining the mishap, we were met with eye rolls, aggression and putting the blame on us. The owner was actually the rudest of them all. She kept saying that there was a misunderstanding on my part, when our receipt said otherwise. Not to mention we would have corrected her if she repeated the VERY wrong order. I have worked in customer service for years and would never imagine treating a paying customer the way I was just treated. No apology, no remorse, no offer of a refund. Nothing. Moral of the story: I will never be back and would recommend Dunkin over Eagle Hill Cafe any day. read more

First time trying this spot! I ordered the Meat lover Two eggs, extra bacon, extra ham, cheddar cheese on a croissant. The bacon was crispy and fully cooked it was great, the ham was perfect, the two eggs cooked perfectly light and tasty the cheddar cheese was melted and the croissant was lightly toasted! This is my favorite cafe in the city. The food is delicious. I usually do a sausage, egg and cheese on a bagel and it's always perfectly cooked. I love that it has a home cooked feel to it with a fresh egg and melted cheese. There's also so many options to customize their sandwiches whether it be type of bread or adding extra cheese! Coffee is also great and has so many options to customize as well. Prices are incredibly fair & on par for the area. I think the biggest reason why I keep coming back though is the staff. They are always so welcoming and kind! I order about once a week for pick up and they recognize me every time and have my sandwich and coffee ready for me. That's great service right there. They also offer delicious pastries, smoothies, and sandwiches. They are very quick and efficient so you never have to wait more than 5 minutes for your order. Eagle Hill Cafe is a great local spot! And I really like the new location, even though the old one was closer to me. I typically come here when I want a breakfast sandwich, but occasionally I will get coffee as well. I do appreciate that their iced coffee is fairly cheap, but the main thing that keeps me from coming here regularly for coffee is that they are unable to make espresso drinks with nondairy milks. Hopefully this changes, but in the meantime I'll have to get my lattes elsewhere. The breakfast sandwiches, though, are pretty good, freshly made, and there are options for pretty much everyone! Definitely recommend trying one of the sandwiches next time you're nearby! read more

It's currently my hyper fixation. I'm about halfway through the iced coffee flavors and am addicted.

What isn't great about this place? Their iced coffee is delicious, reasonably priced, and comes in so many flavors. And it's actual flavored iced coffee, not a whole bunch of sugary syrup. Everything I've had to eat here is excellent, though my favorite it the Mediterranean toast. All that hummus and avocado and it's not crazy expensive? A first for me in Boston! They also have slush and ice cream if you're craving something sweet. I haven't tried a smoothie yet, but the list is extensive and looks delicious. Most notably, the people that work here are so kind and welcoming. They are always friendly and patient, and they make you feel like they're actually happy to interact with you. I'm so glad they moved down the hill a bit and I can take a quick trip over whenever I want! Speaking of which - they're open later than most coffee shops in the area AND are open Sunday (a hot commodity in Eastie). Definitely check them out! read more
