We understood that working with insurance companies can be a lengthy and complex process, and we approached the situation with patience. However, our experience with EDP Construction's support staff was marked by ongoing communication issues and unmet commitments. When we reached out for updates on scheduling or next steps, we were frequently told, "I don't have an answer for you now, but I'll get back to you either way by [Monday]." Unfortunately, we never received follow-up on any of the dates they provided--this happened consistently. As of today, July 29, we are still waiting for the warranty and labor/material paperwork that was promised to be mailed to us. We were told on July 10 it would be sent, another promised on the 14th, then again on the 18th, and again on the 24th. This pattern has continued without resolution. I also requested to speak directly with the owner, Ector Di Paolo, and asked to leave him a voicemail. I was told he was out of the country for two weeks and that messages can be provided to him by staff. Throughout the past year, the office staff has apologized many times, but the core issue remains: expectations were set and not met. We were repeatedly given timelines and assurances that were not followed through on, and we've had to continually follow up ourselves to get information that was promised. Based on our experience, I would not recommend working with this company at this time.

I dropped plans off with Andrew for pricing and left for vacation. When I returned and tried to follow up, Tom answered and was extremely rude, said to keep calling for Andrew as Andrew didn't return phone calls, etc. When I finally tracked down Andrew, he admitted to losing the drawings and asked that I send them again, which I did. I then called to follow up and ask for a delivery date. Spoke to Vitor, the fabricator, who was pretty nice. Answered all his questions. He said he'd get a price to Andrew that day. Surprisingly, Andrew never called. One week later, I tracked Andrew down again asking for the price and delivery schedule. He said he'd get back to me...could he have a number? A number? Seriously, I had now been talking with them for over FIVE WEEKS. So I asked for Jerry, who is the Assistant Manager (and who should be fired for lack of customer service). Jerry says that their head fabricator died two weeks ago so they cannot do my job and hung up on me. When I tried to call back and point out that I had dropped the project off FIVE WEEKS AGO, and was a repeat client, he wouldn't answer my calls. Then he had his secretary call me and reiterate that they wouldn't do my project and, he too, hung up on me. Such an unprofessional group of people. Not sure how they have managed to stay in business. They used to be so professional and good - turned projects around quickly, priced quickly, great to work with. I used to recommend them to builders and architects all the time. WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN. In my opinion, they must be circling the drain...do not give them projects...you probably will not get them completed before the company folds!

I purchased a 30-inch ceramic planter and was originally told it would be left on my driveway. However, upon arrival, the delivery man, Jeff, went above and beyond. He rang the doorbell to notify me of his arrival. To my surprise Jeff kindly offered to move the heavy planter closer to its final destination. In addition to all this unexpected act of kindness, Jeff positioned it so effectively that moving this heavy planter into its final spot was effortless. Thanks to his extra effort, the planter is now exactly where I need it. When I offered Jeff a tip to show my gratitude for his care and helpfulness, he graciously declined, saying he was just happy to help. It is rare to encounter such genuine professionalism. You are fortunate to have someone like Jeff representing your company.
