My husband lost his keys the day before and after waiting a day for someone to turn them in with no luck decided we would have to get the car keys replaced before street cleaning day I called several different local places and they all quoted me insane numbers for having to come out to me in order to program the key since it had a microchip. I called this place on a last ditch effort to get someone out on a Sunday to make me a key and I'm so happy I did. He gave me one flat fee and at first I didn't believe him... I said 'OK but how much are you charging me for you to come out here' and he assured me several times that the price was for them coming out to make and program my key. Gave him my info and he said he would dispatch someone and they would call to confirm my address. Sure enough I got a call from the driver and asked me when would be a good time to stop by. I let him know anytime would be fine and he gave me a decent time frame. He showed up when he said he would and then he let us know that because our trunk didn't have a key hole he would have to charge a little more because they would have to pay to call. (I GUESS THEY MAKE THE COPY FROM THE TRUNK HOLE) Still a better place than most places so I said what the hell let's get it over with. He finished quickly and checked to make sure the key worked perfectly. Good prices but cash only so make sure you have money on hand. Open late on a Sunday which was a plus. Overall happy with their service. The guy I originally talked to called me again later in the evening to make sure everything went well. Planning on calling them again in the future to replace the other spare keys we lost for our other car. Lesson learned don't keep all your keys in one key chain. read more

Use them IF you don't mind being price-gouged and cheated. For 2 locks that simply needed changing (I provided the locks), he gave a high estimate (claiming $65 service charge, that should not be added IF you use them) of $250. Then he kept blaming previous lock installer as making weird hole (it looked normal round for the existing lock, being replaced as old and harder to open with key). We reluctantly agreed to the price (similar job at another place was $120) as he was there already. After a while, he said the door jamb opening was a little small and he will enlarge it. He did so in one minute using a drill with a rough ball bearing. When all done, he suddenly raised the price to $285 ($35 extra for the supposed increase in hole size. No prior authorization asked about the price increase, in spite of us asking him several times in the beginning that $250 will be the tops and he will not raise it and he had agreed not to do so for a straight forward procedure. That was a ruse to raise his price as he saw an opportunity as all he did was some fine tuning of the hole as I watched from far, like sanding. This extra $35 increase was never told to us. Please be a smart shopper and ask for pries before you call such persons. Very dishonest. Beware, unless you have money to throw around. read more
