Picked up bikes here for our Route 66 guided tour. Tour was great and Richard Wynkoop was an excellent guide. The pick up process was a bit lacking. I feel like I got sold unneeded liability insurance - I thought they said it was included in the VIP insurance package I bought. Several people including me did not get the bike they requested. Plus the Street Glide I got had a horrible windscreen that had bad distortion in the top third - very annoying and dangerous. It also did not have a heel shifter that they come standard with. The place seemed overrun by two tour groups plus a third small group renting bikes. Not the personal service we had received for previous ER tour pick ups. read more

I rented a bike to take a springtime cruise around Chicago and up to Lake Geniva. When I checked in, the Eagle Rider crew signed me up for the annual membership, saving e some money and giving me points to use for future rentals. They also upgraded me from a Bolt to Street Bob, which made for a much better ride. Had a blast putting a few hundred miles on the bike and seeing the sights. Nothing like taking a ride along Lakeshore Drive and swinging past Wrigley Field on game day. read more

Picked up a Yamaha Super Tenere for a three day weekend and could not have had a better experience from pick up to drop off and everything in between. Danny and Chuck and the bike I requested ready to go when I arrived, gave me a very helpful overview of the bike's controls and modes and then turned me loose. In and out in 10 minutes and they even gave me a frozen bottle of water to throw in my pack. Given the temps this weekend in the upper 80s I was super thankful to have that a few hours later. Bike was great, I am 6' and 155 pounds so not the biggest guy but I had no problem putting 400 miles on it over a few days on highways and in city traffic. Great ride. Drop off was a cinch as well, even quicker than check out. I can't wait to come back and rent again from these guys! One of the best Eagle Rider locations I've been to. Highly recommend!!! read more

Ask for Olice!!!! Some of the best customer service I have ever recieved. I came early to pick up my bike for 10:30 rental and the bike was ready to go!! Normally I spend a good 1hr filling out all the paperwork and waiting for the bike. This was my first time riding in chicago and I had tons of questions, Olice was patient with me answering all my questions and even making a few good suggestions. I had some Navi problems the 2nd day and when I brought it in, Olice once again took care of it right away. What really compelled me to write this review was I had a 10am flight out of o'hare on a SUNDAY. Eagle Riders was scheduled to be open at 9am, I got there around 8:40am and as soon as I parked in front of the store Olice turns on the open sign and comes out and has paper work in hand ready to check me out, even before they were supposed to be open!!! Overall renting process was very smooth: made an online payment, reserved Electra glide, picked it up on the day of pickup. The bike was ready and waiting for me on Friday before the long 4th of July weekend, had no issues with them overbooking and not having my model available like I've heard can happen. Bikewise: this was the first time I rode a big touring bike - '16 Electra glide ultra base black model. I have a '09 HD rocker c softail so this was a major comfort difference. Overall the bike rides smooth as a butter. The 103 motor purrs like a little kitty and makes this giant hog as quick and strong as a race car. The only downside: lots of heat coming out of the air filter and spewing hot air on my right calf. I had to really spread my leg out not to feel the hot air blast. All in all I enjoyed the ride very much. Electronicswise: HD should work on iPhone to USB connection. I had my iPhone mounted on a cellphone handlebar mount and after 4 days of riding I kept loosing the connection and the stereo kept switching from pandora to radio stations. It was annoying. This was probably caused by lots of vibrations this hog has especially on idle. All in all I had a very positive experience with eagle rider and will be coming back to test different other touring models. Thanks guys read more

Eagle Rider had my bike ready to go when I checked in. I was in/out within 10 minutes. They went over the bike with me, made sure I knew the details of the bike (which was same bike I owned). Bike had 8 miles on it when I took off on our journey. The only thing I wish was that they will ups have added a few things to the bike like highway pegs for the longer riders. read more

I was an Eagle Rider member for one year. Every time I rented from them I had a terrible experience, no customer service reps would answer the phone, bikes reserved weren't available, reservations not found, constant blackout dates when trying to use credits... Finally Eagle Rider essentially robbed me of my unused credits (which equal real money) when I stopped renewal of my membership. I tried to come to a reasonable solution with the company but they offered nothing worth accepting. While the local dealers do their best to provide good service, I would absolutely not recommend Eagle Rider membership to anyone. read more

I am absolutely livid at the fact that less than 24 hours before I was supposed to pick up our rental - mind you, a Father's Day gift for my husband and son - Harley had the audacity not only to cancel my rental, but to not pick up two phone calls or try to accommodate or comp us. For having spent $300 on a day rental to be canceled so abruptly (when they have no issue screwing you over if you don't book your rental 48 hrs in advance), I would list this one of the biggest wastes of my life. We went out and purchased a kid's helmet as well for this occasion; the disappointment felt by a 7-year-old and his father on Father's Day weekend with such an abrupt change of plans is unacceptable. I do not care if I get a refund when there is a greater unresolved issue: how to remedy the current situation and comp future ones? Disgusting customer service for such a significant upcharge and untimely change in plans. read more

Rented a Goldwing for a two-up tour of the midwest over Memorial Day weekend from the Countryside location. Staff was friendly and helpful and the transaction was as smooth as it gets. The bike I received was a 2012 wing with 34,000 miles. Tires were in good shape, bike was clean and fully functional. First time riding a Goldwing and while I'm surprised to admit it, that bike is brilliant...all day comfort two-up, smooth powerband, and surprisingly agile on fast twisty roads. So let me start by saying this is only the second thing I've ever yelped. Not a fan of bitching about businesses. But I feel like I have to about this company after what I just went through. So I was a member of three years never missed a payment, turned a handful of people onto this company. got them to sign up to be members to. Every year I always rent a bike at the same time for my motorcycle trip I do every year. They do have a certain times that they black out dates that you cannot use your credits which usually goes to the middle of September, hence why I always do my motorcycle trips at the last week of September to use my credits that you earn every month by paying your monthly dues which allows you to get one free day of riding on a motorcycle. You do have to pay the taxes and insurance though. Well two weeks ago I went to reserve a bike to see what the cost would be my credits were applied. I had to wait a couple weeks to see if another person was going to ride with me so I did not reserve my bike. Within that time the company decided to change the blackout times to the end of the Month which now does not allow me to use my credits and I cannot do my motorcycle trip like I planned with other people that we're going to rent bikes from them too because of the last-minute changes they decided to make. Over the three years this company has went downhill and changed so many things since I became a member. When I proceeded to call and try to fix this and let them know that I have been a member for three years and I've been doing the same trip every time at the same time they proceeded to tell me there was nothing they can do. As a member of three years you would think they would treat me better and try to figure this out considering I've never missed one payment and I have rented multiple bikes from them. When talking to customer service it was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had she was completely rude right off the bat and didn't even try to help me fix the situation. (and now also that was the third phone call that I've had to make in 24 hours because I kept getting disconnected or rerouted) so at this point I'm very frustrated. It's really sad because I used to think this company was a good company and I would tell so many people about it to sign up with them. But now I would not even tell one person a good thing about this company. I highly recommend to not use them because they will change things in the mist of your contract and not grandfather you into the original thing that you thought you were getting. Such a shame! So after you guys respond to this review and ask me to reach out to you guys via email. I've sent 2 emails and have not got one response. This goes to show exactly what I'm talking about. Eagle Rider rep Olice Dennison had my bike ready for me long before the time I was to arrive. Good because I came early. Olice had me checked out in no time. Bike was looking great and he work with me on all my questions. When I thought I was going to be a day late Mary took care of me letting me know no problem, they would adjust my time. Great ride at Eagle Rider Ohare. Rented Heritage Softail, only complaint was loud pipes (not H-D pipes ? ). They should advertise thé "TOLL" option, payement $ 5 and Dont need To stop at tolll booths, Highly recommend this option. Online bike Rsvp has become better. Be carefull if sign up for Eagle Rider Club Membership, Chicago has Many Blackout Dates for ERCM. read more
