Earl's Sandwiches are always fresh and packed full with flavor. Whether it's the pork belly, bahn mi, steak, brisket or goat cheese sandwich it's always good. I love the crisp on the bread in contrast to the rich soft ingredients. I have a friend that lives close by and always too much of an excuse to stop by. They were having trouble with their "square payment" I stood in line waiting patiently, hoping to at least get my order in. I was the only one in line. A simple " we'll be with u in a minute" or just take my order and hash out the payment problem after. I was paying with cash. So after waiting 20min I walked out. Food there is awesome. I'm really disappointed! I got a Chipotle chicken cheesesteak sandwich and they forgot the sauce. For a $16.00 sandwich, everything should be included and not forgotten. When I called, the lady that answered wasn't very helpful. She insisted everything was there, without even checking with the kitchen staff. She said "it should be there." Honestly, that didn't sound too convincing. Sandwich didn't have flavor, was dry without the sauce. I have ordered this before, I know what it should taste like. Where's to start....well first the standard menu is incredible. I've tried every sandwich. The French dip is one of my favorites. Great portion size, high quality ingredients and very clutch combinations. The specials that come around are absolutely fire. The soft shell crab being one of my all time favorites. I got the goat cheese and veggie sandwich. It was aucually really yummy even though there wasn't any meat. I loved the spinach, tomato, sauteed mushrooms and onions. The goat cheese had just the right amount of funk. Watch out when you eat this sandwich though the sauce definitely got me haha. I loved the lemonade too. This is the second time my wife and I ordered from Earl Kaimuki while coming to Waikiki. We loved the sandwiches so much the first time we ordered the same ones this time. They did not disappoint. Since this is a take out sandwich shop, ambiance does not apply. Let me instead give props to the on line ordering app. It is user friendly, quick and ordering options re easy to scroll to. Once the order is on the way, text updates are frequent enough so you know exactly when the order will be delivered. My wife ordered the Classic Philly Cheesesteak. Her comment is that this is the best cheesesteak she has had since she worked in Philadelphia 40 years ago. She says you know it's the real deal because they use cheese Whiz like any good shop in Philly would use. I ordered the Italian Sub and it was as good as any Italian Sub I've ever had. And I grew up on the Jersey shore so this is a huge compliment. We live on Maui now but come to Honolulu several times each year. Earl Kaimuki will see us ordering from them many more times. These sandwiches are so tasty and filling. It's a small place located in the Market City Shopping Center in the corner. I usually order the Italian sub and it never disappoints. It's so good that I always forget to the get a picture and by the time I remember the sandwich is usually gone. If you are going to order this one, be sure to get extra napkins, it's very juicy. Wasn't bad but in today's chicken sandwich wars, with Chick-fil-A in town and places like Hank's knocking it out of the park (and Popeye's and KFC doing a pretty good job, not bad doesn't really cut it. We were looking for a new place to try and saw that EARL kaimuki had a lot of good Yelp reviews so we decided to get take out. Bf ordered the Cubano sandwich and the Pastrami Single Cheeseburger. I had the French dip and we shared a order fries. Everything tasted really good and the portion size was decent. My favorite was the Pastrami Single Cheeseburger so next time I'm ordering that. I wish EARL had a branch in the Bay Area because if there was one, I'd be eating there every week. I tried the Chicago Beef and it was reminiscent of Portillo's. I haven't had Portillo's since my college days in 2016 so I was pleasantly surprised. Each bite was flavorful and not salty. Service was wonderful as well. The cashier was patient with us and recommended some items to consider. EARL Kaimuki is a bit small and I noticed most people, including us, decided to take their orders to go. The bathrooms are a shared bathroom with the whole strip mall so keep that in consideration when patronizing these businesses. There's also a little discount in the Oahu tourist magazines, so if you're near a stall with those, pick them up for a few dollars off. I hope to try more sandwiches soon. Thanks EARL! read more

So I decided to try this place and was excited to see what they had to offer. I ordered the Philly Roast Pork sandwich to go. I got home and opened it, I was like damn this is tiny for $16. I put my remote control( which is 7") next to it to show you how big it was in comparison. I paid $16 plus tip for a 7" sandwich. They cut the ends off for some reason which makes it even look smaller. Fine, hopefully it would taste great . The sandwich had about 5 ounces of meat in it, very little onion and spinach. It was tender but bland. Man what a rip! I work in a kitchen and trust me, this would not even make it to the pass. Came here for the first time. Their menu is slightly different from the Kakaako location. Their menu has more selection. I am bummed that they don't sell the delicious fries that they have at the Kakaako location. Anyways, for this location, we ordered the Drew (pastrami), French Dip (prime rib), Choritz BLT (chorizo and bacon), Italian (ham, cappachola, pork belly, and pepperoni), avocado toast, and guava lemonade. The Drew and the Italian sandwiches are the best ever. Overall, it's pricey for food when you can buy a plate lunch for the same price. The staff are super friendly and provide solid awesome customer service. The parking lot is huge, but it can get busy fast cause it's shared by other establishments. This is definitely one of the best sandwich places I've been to on the island! First off, parking is super easy. There's a parking lot (have to pay a small fee) or plenty of metered parking around the area. Everything on the menu sounded so good, but I ended up getting the beef braised brisket. The pieces of meat were really thick and tender, the bread was well toasted, and the sandwich was covered in cheese - it was really yummy! It also came with a dipping sauce that added to the flavor. The sandwich looked kind of small when I got it, but it's actually a perfect size for lunch. I recommend getting one of the drinks as well. The Lilikoi Lemonade was really good - not too sweet at all - and only $3! In addition, the staff is super friendly and welcoming. The only down side of EARL is that the location is very small; there's about 8 seats inside. Since it's so tiny people don't tend to dwell so if you're with a small group (like one or two other people) a spot will probably open up while you order. Otherwise, you may want to get takeout. Overall, this is a fantastic spot for lunch! I will definitely be back to try more of the other sandwiches. read more

Man - this place was freaking amazing!!!! Yelp again for the win! Husby and I split the jalapeño ranch fries pictured and the Italian sub. Man - these fries are beyond - they also have a cheesy sauce on them and the combo of the crunchy waffle fries, the cheese ranch and the crunchy spicy jalapeños are so freaking divine. I could've eaten my weight in these - honestly same for our sandwich. First of all the sub is big 12 inches so we split it. We asked for Mayo on the side but actually it's like a garlic aioli and we ended up putting it on both of ours.
