Earls Kitchen and Bar is always popular. A great restaurant with good ambience. Their most recent happy hour menu has good options, good enough for a late night snack. Their service is always friendly.

We came in for happy hour. It is a huge restaurant , they said seating is only on the lounge side if we want to order happy hour (booths not tables). Huge drinks menu , we got a white sangria and strawberry margarita. They also brought out a little plate of chips + salsa while we were waiting. Had chicken + pickles , it was crunchy and spicy. Petite steak frites from the happy hour menu When we were done they also brought out two pieces of cake + ice cream.

Easy tip to beat the brunch crowd is to go to Earls instead. Plenty of options for my family and you know the food will be consistent. Eggs Benny and earls breakfast for all around the table

The service and food were quite delightful . Wednesdays have $5 off most steak dishes . Great restaurant for big parity numbers . My only critique is bit too dark inside . We all had to use our cell phone flashlights to read the menu . Taste is decent . The Calamari was very good

I've been to Earls Richmond a few times over a long span of time and I always thought it's a hit or miss. Firstly, the ambiance is upscale and sophisticated whether you're having brunch or a nice night out with your friends/family. The tables are booths-style and quite spacious. For such kind of restaurants, you can almost have guaranteed service from your servers. For the times I've gone to for dinners, I would have given them a 2-star. I found dinner prices to be overpriced for the food I received. The food was mediocre and nothing to rave about. I felt that I was just paying a hefty price to be in an upscale setting. In other words, I was paying for the ambiance. I've been to happy hour brunch a couple of times now and I gave my experience a 4 star. The prices are very good during happy hour and the food is also delicious. I've ordered the chorizo hash as well as the prawn benedict and I've found both to be very satisfying. All brunch plates come with a refreshing and colorful salad, as well as "layered" hash browns. Basically, instead of a "crepe cake", think "crepe potatoes". They were quite interesting and definitely gave the brunch extra points. To conclude, I'll only go back to Earls for happy hour brunch or happy hours but not for their regular menus. For the regular menu items, I rather go to their competitors.

Nice atmosphere and great service, thanks Dylan! Veggie hunan kung pao m/ tofu & 4 peppers (ask for the peppers chopped in, bless our server for the suggestion) Ended up here at happy hour, got the corn and avocado dip so basically guac & chips lol not as good as spin dip

I had a nice dinner gathering with 4 other friends at Earls in Lansdowne Mall. We picked the location because of the ease of finding parking and also knowing that there will be something on the menu for our diverse diet restrictions. Earls did not disappoint, we were sat comfortably in a table and there was even an extra seat for us to put our bags. The service was also excellent, the server helped us made up our minds by answering our questions about the menu and helping us make changes to the order (e.g. having double portions of vegetables). I ordered cajun chicken fettuccine alfredo. The taste of the chicken and pasta was perfect, I especially like how the pasta was cooked to the perfect texture and how the sauce clings onto it. The length of the pasta was just right for me to pick up with a fork. The only thing missing for this dish is the lack of vegetables and the portion size, I was still hungry after finishing it. Three people in my party ordered the Atlantic salmon and they all wanted double vegetables. However, when their food came out, the portion sizes all look different. One person had a particularly small portion and, compared to the other two, she seemed to get only a single portion of vegetable. When we told the server of the issue, he offered to bring out extra vegetables for us and gave us a generous portion as compensation. We were very happy with the arrangement. We were very satisfied with the environment. The low lighting presented some challenge for us to read the menu as we are all seniors. The prices was on the high side given the small portion of food, but we felt the service was excellent and we were able to sit and chat for a long time after we finished our meals, we would definitely come back again for our next gathering.

My daughter and I came to Earls at Lansdowne Centre in Richmond for Happy Hour. We shared a Margherita pizza and a Gingerbread Molten Lava Cake. I've been to multiple locations of Earls restaurants over the years and the food is usually good, but I have to admit that this time the food was disappointing. Margherita Pizza: The pizza was divided into 6 pieces. Half the pizza was burnt. I meant that quite literally as 3 out of 6 pieces had burnt crust on them. I bit the bullet and ate all 3 of the burnt pieces while allowing my daughter to eat the 3 unburnt pieces. Gingerbread Molten Lava Cake: There was a Gingerbread flavor in this cake but it was not at all Molten Lava-ish. The cake arrived with some kind of sauce sitting on top. That was the only liquidy element we could detect in this dish. Normally, with any kind of molten lava cake we'd expect to cut into the cake with our forks and see some kind of moist and gooey centre oozing out. Nothing of the sort happened with this cake. It was completely dry in the middle, and the cake itself was nothing to write home about. It was quite dense and overall, a huge disappointment.  Given the number of good experiences we've had at various locations of Earls in the past, I'd like to believe that this was either just an isolated incident or that these two particular menu items were subpar. Service: Good Parking: Plentiful and free at Lansdowne Centre Location: Lansdowne Centre

Nice location with lots of parking . Place was very busy and noisy so I'd not go back if I wanted to chat . The warm spinach and three cheese dip was not what we expected ! The chicken Kung pao was delicious . Our server was excellent ... wish I could remember his name . Didn't realize this was a chain . May have to try other locations

Parking is normally a hassle during the daytime, but at night it's a breeze. Strangely, there was still a sign up for paid parking, yet signing an iPad near the bar will somehow negate the charge for 3 hours. Just outside the door, there are also "guards" who patrol the lot on foot (#1) and many cigs are disposed of in the process. It's likely they'll end up at the bar patrolling their own drinks instead. Most Richmond nightlife is very Chinese and Spark is no exception. The staff is multilingual, but most patrons here are Mandarin speaking. Folks have known the place to be a haven for karaoke and nightly food specials, but we were here for cocktails and cocktails only. There was plenty of space and abundant seating in very intimate lighting with a prominent stage. Coming here on a Tuesday, it was a relaxing evening. The wait staff was prompt, and most of our drinks came out quickly. The osmanthus oolong ($19) was semi-refreshing, but not nearly sweet as the white rabbit ($17) or berrily ever after ($18). The moscow mule ($17) looked decent, though I wonder if the zombie ($22) was worth it. The times to be here are absolutely the weekend. All weekend they have live music and more food specials. I think it would be an interesting time to take advantage of one of their private only areas for group time, and while I suspect the food is mid at best, I will likely be back to sample everything they do well. I look forward to this, along with some really quality amateur singing (#1). ____________ (#1) This might be one of the only venues that offer public karaoke

Surrounded by warehouses, did the driver want us to experience a "call of the wild?" However, Odd Society beckoned one block from the corner, and two seats were available at the strange bar. Strange because our view was blocked by a kind of ersatz plastic and wood wagon wheel blocking our view of the servers and bar. It was reminiscent of Utah's Zion Curtain. Later, I was told it was part of Odd Society's Covid protection and helped the bartenders stack things up. Okay, fine, but tear the damn things down. They're obnoxious. Odd Society creates an array of liquors made from ingredients sourced locally by law. It's required by their license. I tried almost all of them, and most were fantastic. Abby and Colin, our servers, were charming, fun, and educational, answering my questions, which became increasingly inane as the alcohol took effect. The distillery also mixes fantastic cocktails, and mine, named Midori, was friggen unbelievable. I had two of them along with my liquor tasting. My Midori was made with a special concoction called Portuguese Sweet Milk, or something like that. It was amazing. I want one for breakfast. The fun kept coming, and I didn't want to leave. Alas, we had reservations at Lunch Lady up the street. We should have stayed at Odd Society. Lunch Lady was a disappointment. Try Odd Society out as both a distillery and cocktail bar. You won't be disappointed about either one.

In summary, the place was ok, but noticed after the fact that we were overcharged for the drinks. It's a small space - about 3 high tables, one lower one, each seating 4 to maybe at most 5 people, plus a bar. I reserved a table for the 2 of us at 3:30 pm on a Sunday (earliest reservation they had as they open at 3 pm) and we were seated at 3 pm. They checked our vaccine passports and then seated us. Not long after we were seated, the remaining tables were all taken just after opening for 30 minutes so I would recommend reserving if you prefer tables over bar seating. The waitress brought over a drinks menu and food menu. The menu showed cocktails at $13. We chose our drinks and ordered, then the waitress came by with a second menu that she said was for Sunday only. She apologized and said she normally doesn't work Sunday's so she didn't know this promotional menu was available. This menu had some cocktails on promotion that I would have not minded to try, but I had already received my cocktail. Oh well. I had the Violet and Claire, which looked great and tasted pretty good for the first half. However by the second half of the drink, it started to taste too sweet. It was not bad for a cocktail, overall. My friend said the Smoke Between the Sheets cocktail was alright as well. We got our bills quickly as we had a second place to visit afterwards. After paying, I snapped a picture of the bill at the time but did not notice until I got home that to my surprise, each cocktail was listed on the bill at $14.95. I recalled their physical menu saying $13, and verified this with their menu online. Unfortunately, I did not notice the discrepancy until I was home, otherwise I would have mentioned something. Note that our visit was at the end of November 2021, and at the time I'm writing this review (December 26, 2021), their online menu still has cocktail prices at $13. So, I am not sure if this was a one time mistake when we paid, or if they have just forgotten to update their menu? Either way, this was disappointing. Because of the entire experience I probably won't visit again, especially with all the other options Vancouver has for cocktails.
