First I have to say people complaining about the parking lot next door obviously don't read signs. The sign is at the entrance of the parking lot that says it is for the apartments and all other cars are subject to being towed. Oh and the sign looks to be years old so read it. Now to the review. My BFF and I came here and parked in one of the many open street parking spots. We walked in and were greeted immediately. We sat down and our waitress came over and took our coffee order and by the time she came back we decided on our meals. I got the tiramisu French toast, my BFF got the breakfast bowl. Let me say this has to be Hamilton's best kept secret wow the food is amazing, the service was wonderful and the coffee (I got a vanilla latte) was good. They use a super automatic coffee machine, basically it is a push button coffee maker. The place was very clean and just well presented. I highly recommend and I will be back and can't wait to do so. read more

I usually give a place a pass on a first visit, but this deserved a note. Good stuff: Service was very friendly and so fast. Clean and open inside. Nice to have an outdoor area to eat to enjoy good weather. Bacon had great flavor. Room for improvement: My breakfast bowl was lackluster as scrambled eggs were dry & rubbery. Potatoes were okay, but ruined by the higher level of peppery spice. Ask customers what seasonings they would like, okay? Yikes, the coffee tasted as if it had been on the burner too long with that cooked acid note. The meal & coffee were not a good value for the dollar - total $17. I tipped adequately because service was really good. Suggest management work with parking lot owner for an agreement to use X# spaces during the restaurant's open hours. While there are sufficient free street parking spaces, the lot entrance on 3rd St side appears unmarked re towing while the entrance on Dayton St side is marked but the smallish sign is easily missed. read more

I love Hamilton, Ohio more every day and Early Berds is definitely a reason to visit Hamilton again and again! The restaurant has a lot of seating but the outdoor seating is beautiful as well! The staff is super friendly and welcoming!! The food was incredible! I enjoyed a fantastic vanilla iced coffee and the most delicious egg bowl ever! The parking is on the street (the adjacent parking lot is for apartment rental and clearly marked a tow zone) and there is plenty of on-street free parking. I wish I could have an Early Berds breakfast every morning!!!! read more

I have eaten at Berds on numerous occasions and decided to try their new place in Hamilton. While always enjoying Berds my experience today left much to be desired. I ordered biscuits and gravy and eggs over easy. The biscuits had to be cut with a knife, the sausage gravy still had lumps of flour and little sausage and the cook obviously doesn't know what over easy means. My friend had avocado toast and it didn't look very appealing and was very short on avocado. A lot of work needs to be done in the kitchen to improve their product. read more

I feel the need to post this. Let me start by saying the restaurant itself is great. However, after going here multiple times for breakfast the last visit we had 2 of 3 cars towed while parking in the (empty) lot attached to the restaurant. I really don't know what to say other than if we can't safely park without hundreds of dollars in towing/impound fees we unfortunately will not be back. read more

A charming new restaurant in German Village in Hamilton. A one time visit has become a weekend destination for us. The atmosphere inside is fresh and relaxed. The staff and servers are a strong team and I believe that's a reflection of how they are being led and valued. We have enjoyed several menu items and look forward to more. It is so nice to see a group of young people with such a strong work ethic building something of value in their community. Located in the former Neal's BBQ location with a total makeover inside. The breakfast was delicious. Very nice breakfast menu. The service was prompt and attentive. The owner, Logan Fitzwater, stopped to ask about our experience. Very friendly staff. I returned to the place about an hour after we left to retrieve my cell phone I had left on the table. As I opened the door most all of the staff laughed and welcomed me back as they knew what was going on. Our server already had my phone in her hand at the register before I got there.
