This food truck is located behind the azeka strip mall along with several other trucks. I am not strictly vegan or plant based but I enjoy and appreciate plant based food. I was in the mood for tacos so I asked which were the best of the 4 options. The gentleman said the thai "chickin" tacos were his favorite so I went ahead and ordered them. The chickin was pretty good. I dont typically eat processed faux meat as it taste like chemicals. This one did not and there was a lot of it in each of the 3 tacos. They had a nice peanut sauce, cabbage/carrot slaw, and crushed peanuts on top, served with lime wedges and a 3 leaves of cilantro. The flavor was good with the lime. I think they should come with more cilantro for both color and flavor. I also received a free kombucha for checking in via Yelp. I had the ginger + turmeric which was good. Normally I dont love kombucha due to the acidic bite but this did not have that. Overall this was a decent meal. Slightly pricey (my husband had 3 seared ahi tacos for the same price across the way). Love this place! Have been here at least 4 times so far and each item has been wonderful. Everything is hand made and crafted and is 100% VEGAN which is hard to find. I'm not vegan but am trying to cut down on the amount of meat I consume and I have enjoyed it all! Vegan Gyro!!! I haven't had a gyro for over a year and a half since becoming vegan. So happy to find a vegan one while on vacation! I also got the fries, not as crispy as I normally would like but they seemed like the homemade kind that don't get as crispy as the processed stuff so I didn't mind! I was super excited to find a vegan place and had read great reviews about this place, but unfortunately, it disappointed me in every way possible. Service: this was the Lahaina location. The person who took my order was extremely rude and condescending. I had a couple of questions about the menu and he literally yelled his answers at me. I thought, ok weird, but wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt so placed my order. I noticed he wasn't yelling at the other customer behind me who had a couple of questions of his own. I'm brown, so considered that he might be racist. I placed the order, and he gave me the receipt to sign on, I didn't want to leave a tip at that point because he was simply being nasty. So he took the receipt back and yelled, "What, no tip?". No, I won't tip someone who is extremely rude for no reason. Food: i got the falafel plate. The falafels were bland. The rice was not seasoned. Everything was extremely dry. The sauce they gave was okay but not enough. Honestly this place was a total mess. From the service to the food it was so terrible. I don't know why all these other ratings are so high. Were these people drunk or high? This food tuck is completely vegan, provided great service and some delicious food! I got the Mediterranean Crepe which had hummus, tomatoes, onions, tortilla chips, olives and a special green sauce. It comes with a side of chips and salsa, too! They also have some desserts and kombucha on their menu. Almost everything on the menu is made from scratch and they only use fresh, plant-based, organic, local ingredients. There is tons of parking and plenty of clean seating nearby. There was no flavor in the food, they used frozen vegetables and just warmed them up to put into dishes (they had that frozen tin taste) and the kids meals were the processed Gardein chicken nuggets you can get at a grocery store for 1/2 the price for the whole bag. The kids quesadillas was pretty gross too. The cheese wasn't even melted completely. The food truck area was nice though, but I suggest you skip this place if you're for a plant based meal you're better off going to a local place and asking for a modifier in a menu item.
