It's great for a burger crave! Just not for the price it's at (more than $9) I love a classic burger-- I just got a #2, basically a cheeseburger with bbq sauce. It's great, especially when my husband and I were just on a poke kick the entire trip and wanted MEAT. Butttttt at $9 it's definitely not something I'll go back to. I get it though, it's Waikīkī and the import of beef probably? But I just expected a little more jazz to it--gimme some more veggies, or fried onions, or a really special sauce so I can really justify that price tag. Great little hole in the wall that is nestled in a small location among some other great eateries. I had the bacon deluxe burger which was fantastic. I also ordered the fries to accommodate as they are not included so FYI, and they were delicious and cooked to perfection. This is a small burger joint tucked away in a small alleyway. You wouldn't be able to see this on the Main Street, you wouldn't have to be looking or searching for burgers. I have been in and around that area for a little while enough time to see what kind of foods were offered right off of Waikolu and Royal Hawaiian Ave. I'll have to admit there was something about Betty's Burgers and I have heard that a lot of people have stopped there so I decided that having lunch there was a good thing to do and I did and I'm very pleased that I did because the manager that's there who's name is Daniel very friendly... I did have a burger here before it moved to Waikolu... it was as a food truck. Not far from the location of this Betty's (Waikiki) On 1/16/25 I had the "Betty Cheese Burger" it hit off a great return! I loved it and I realized that it's been a very good while since I had a delicious burger. Also it was great sitting and enjoying the burger they have a certain set up there where a "bird alarm" goes off... it's not an alarm that would've been anywhere else that I've sat at, but it took me a while to figure out that it was an alarm to ward off other birds... it does have a baby bird type of sound so perhaps that is why it keeps the other birds away.... The place can Harbour, a lot of wild life begging for morsels, so they did a good thing by setting up an alarm there and I don't think it was Betty's Burgers but that alarm is closest to their business. It got me to return even more so. 1/31/25 I returned, and had the bacon double. Deluxe with cheese. I love numerous types of burgers I think when it comes to hunger, it's especially fulfilling to know you can come to a place where not only will the seating have a good invite for your lunch or dinner time enjoyment but also non- distraction of wild life. The last thing I wanna mention is that when you get to sit in and stay rather than take your food away, you're a given a fresh cold bottle or hopefully cold, ketsup bottle and your own mustard and a container of napkins to just be clean while you're eating, because that burger can get right in there for your hefty appetite of digging in... because the burgers are that juicy and delicious!!! I particularly like the squeeze bottle tips. I mix mustard and ketchup for my onion rings all the time if I had fries, I tried to, but I think the onion rings here does it do justice.. Return? Me and my wife were opting to get McDonald's but instead ran into this place that was saw online. We then decided to skip McDonald's and give this try as the prices were reasonable compared to some of the other burgers spots nearby. Starting off with a bang the food was BOMB. The bread was buttered yet soft and melted in your mouth while the patty was cooked well I believe but wasn't rubbery or chewy. In my opinion it was average and could be better. I had Betty's deluxe burger with a grilled pineapple hoping it would bring out the flavor of the burger. I was exploring around the AirBnb and found Betty's Burgers tucked away off of a side alley. I think they used to have a food truck next to the International Marketplace vendors. I ordered a Cheeseburger and a side of onion rings. I'm used to the standard burgers on the mainland that come with onions and pickles. I didn't notice until after I paid for my order that at Betty's I needed to order a Deluxe Burger to get onions. I asked the person at the counter if I could add onions and was getting ready to pay for adding the onions. She was very nice and told me to not worry about it, very nice of her. The burger is a smash burger so it is crispy around the edges and had a good beef flavor, not a frozen patty. The bun was soft and good, it didn't break amount when you squeezed the burger and the meat was juicy. The Betty sauce adds to overall cheeseburger flavor. This is a cool spot my daughter and I came across during our visit to Waikiki. It's a little hidden so you do have to look for it. Place is in the cut but it's worth finding it. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time the fries were solid also. Reminded me of old school mom and pop shops in LA. Don't need to drive if you're in the Waikiki Beach area. The restaurant is not easily visible. It's more like in a back street tucked between hotels. We had the Double Cheeseburger with Onion Rings.
