Jessica was extreme friendly and super sweet! She helped me with some options on the menu and it didn't disappoint. Simple edamame and tuna sushi, but it hit the spot! The environment was cozy and tucked away in the back with luscious green monstera plants. They also validate if you park at the Alohilani hotel. Loved the vibe here and plan to come back!

Excellent ramen, view of the beach, and will be coming back here again! Our waiter Caesar was very helpful and, when informed about a shellfish allergy, he made sure to check in with the kitchen and let us know which ramen has absolutely no contamination. when he noticed it, he provided an alternative that does not have any cross contamination.

Ambiance was nice, staff was aware of their surroundings and aware of new customers coming in and out. Was noticed when I entered and helped right away. While I waited, 2 other staff members asked if I had been helped already. Very nice of them to be so aware. Food was good but not what I expected. Was very filling but perhaps not something I was looking for, so didn't hit the spot but was very tasty. The spicy tan-tan was more of a curry consistency, good but heavy broth. The sticky ribs were very flavorful, semi sweet and spicy. The frozen lager was fun and different but the beer itself was nothing special.

Came here with a big group! They found us a table and it was really nice. Good: - The tsukemen is super tasty - and a good portion size - Sticky ribs are incredible - so much flavor and really crunchy - was a texture I was surprised by - Tons of seating even for big groups Bad: - Kaarage was a bit dry - A bit pricey, everything was above $20 even the smallests items on the menu - Takes a bit for food to arrive Overall this was a nice casual place to go with a big group. Also very central so easy to access

On a prime location just a short walk from Waikīkī beach you'll find Chef Morimoto's Momosan. Parking can be found street side when available however can be tough. Walking is suggested and the primary mode of transportation while in Waikīkī. Must-Do: Sticky Ribs (say yes to the side of rice, thank me later) Ahi Tacos Tonkatsu Ramen Karaage (kids love it too) Sashimi (Hamachi is very nice cut) During different times of the day, you may encounter some wait time to be seated. You'll add yourself to the list. Varying from 20 minutes up to 45 minutes for a party of 4 or more. If you are patient, your tastebuds will certainly be rewarded. Consistency is key and Momosan puts this to practice day in day out. Attentive service, delicious food, great quality and a comfortable cozy dining experience. Outdoor seating allows you to enjoy the beauty of Waikiki beach. 8 years ago I brought my wife to our first taste of Momosan on a date, we were blown away by the flavors, freshness and quality of the ramen, the sashimi and the incomparable Sticky Ribs. Each and every visit has never failed to impress us still. To this day my kids now 12 am 14 years old, have added Momosan to their list of favorite restaurants. Many can try to ie Earls, but none can dethrone(the Iron Chef Morimito-san and his Sticky Ribs

Hit the spot. Everything was delicious. Sticky ribs were moist and fall off the bone. Ramen was probably the best I have had in a while. Sat outside on the patio. Service was awesome. Everything was perfect. Will be on top of my list for when I return.

TL;DR - their frozen Kirin is Kirin beer with a slushee/kirin smoothie topper. It's not a slush all the way through. The tsukemen dipping broth was thinner than what I would normally expect from tsukemen. The poke bowl was perfect and I'd get that again. Happy to have tried these and would try other things on their menu. This place is right along the beach and is a perfect spot for those who are craving poke, ramen, tsukemen, or just to grab drinks. It's a popular spot. There was a little bit of a wait before we got seated. There are plenty of seats, inside and outside. The service is quick as well. Very nice waitstaff. Ambiance is perfect for any occasional and even families with babies. What brought us to this place was their tsukemen and frozen kirin. The Frozen kirin seemed like a novelty but also something that sounds incredibly delicious and refreshing. It was good but not exactly what I had expected it to be. I thought I was getting a beer slush but it's actually just beer with a slushy/smoothie-type topping. I don't think I'd get it again but I'm happy I tried it. It was nice to enjoy the evening with a beer! The tsukemen is something I'm glad I tried once but will be trying something else next time. I LOVE tsukemen and have had it many times. I know how it typically tastes and the one they have here, unfortunately, misses the mark. The noodles were fine but the dipping broth was more or less thinned out ramen broth. We also ordered a poke bowl which was perfect. No complaints. I got my poke fix for the trip and would get it again. I'd come back but to try other things on their menu!

Yeah, we went to a Mirimoto restaurant on vacation. It was conveniently located, and we (correctly) assumed we'd get a quality meal. It was happy hour, so we got inexpensive drinks and appetizers. The momosa was a glass of sparkling wine and a shot of juice. If quantity is your thing, they deliver. The frozen beer is a lager topped with a "head" of frozen beer. For only $4 during happy hour, it was fun to try once. I enjoyed my poke bowl. My husband's ramen was pretty tasty. The food lived up to Mirimoto's reputation. In this touristy neighborhood, it's a solid choice.

Momosan's Waikiki meets the high standard that its mainland counterparts are striving for. I appreciated that they had a soft shell crab bao (I assume it's easier to get soft shell in Hawaii than in NYC). The $32 lunch special of one ramen, one side, and one drink (from a subset of the menu) is convenient and more than filled me up. I don't think the bowl was any smaller than in a dinner portion. The golden noodles were chewy and al dente, and the broth development was textbook. I loved the skinless tomato and kale in the vegan miso - these were firsts for me. They add texture and go great with vegan broth. On an island where there are burgers, steaks, and seafood everywhere, if you're not looking for American dinner food, you'll come away satisfied.

This restaurant is attached to the Alohilani resort in Waikiki. Everything we had was good, we would definitely come back if we stay nearby!

Second time here It has never disappointed me There was a special menu at the time We ordered these delicious fries off of it There was also a combo in which i chose the pork gyoza and the fruity drink I asked for extra garlic and the spicy paste they had Super spicy but yummy Ramen noodles were chewy and the broth was very flavorful My husband and I got their mimosas- pineapple and guava Beautiful setting, they had indoor and outdoor seatings And a bar top as well! A must if youre in the area!

Came here to use up our resort credit. There are two restaurants that the resort credit could be used and this one was the only one open at 4 pm and it was pretty empty as well. We sat outdoors but there was shade and plants although the chairs were hard. We ordered the all star, spicy Dan Dan, California hand roll off the happy hour menu, and sticky ribs. The sticky ribs was super unique and delicious and definitely worth it! The ramen and hand roll were average but for the price it was fine. I shared a bowl with my grandma and we were both super full afterwards. The service was really great as well and the bathroom required a key.

Amazing service and fantastic food. I really wanted to try Ramen when I was in Hawaii and I am happy. I tried out this place. They have a pretty good happy hour. The restaurant is very small, but they have additional seating in the hallway of the hotel. They were also able to validate my parking so we got free parking just for dining there. The Ramen was very good. We had the tan tan and the tonkatsu and the kids had the chicken ramen with no vegetables. The broth was savory and the appetizers that we had were good as well. Everyone loved the ramen!

Ask the Community - Momosan Waikiki

Presently do they validate/free parking if parked in the Alohilani?

They have valet parking, and you need to tip the valet.

Is their wait time long for dinner service?

Go early, then there is no wait. But after 6 I'd expect a wait. After 7, they will likely be full for the night.

Is the Tokyo Chicken Ramen broth 100% chicken broth? I don't eat pork. Thank you.

To be sure, I would contact the restaurant and ask for the General Manager or Manager on Duty and ask this question.

    Are they taking reservations?

They do not. You put your name on the list when you arrive.

Is this restaurant located inside of a hotel?

No, it's not. It's right across the street from McDonald's and has its own entrance.

    Where is parking garage?

It's in the Alohilani hotel next door.

    Do they take reservations?

    No. Walk in only

Is there Happy hour? What days and time? On food and drinks?

From 5p-7p 7 days a week Happy Hour is for drinks only with purchase of food.

    Is parking validated (free)?

Yes. Up to 3 hours free with validation, park at the hotel restaurant is attached to.

The sauce to dip the noodles in was good. It was flavorful, salty, and sweet. My wife had a bowl of ramen. I got to try the soup and it tasted really good. I also like how thick it was. I don't like thin soup on my ramen, so this I really liked. My daughter was gulping down her noodles... just shoving it into her mouth. That is a huge thing for me because she's picky with food. We also had the potato mochi. I also liked that one. It had good texture, crunch, and chew. It was brushed with a glaze. The flavor was good. I'm not a chicken karaage guy. But I'm mentioning it because we ordered it. The chicken karaage were good chunks of chicken. Not like other places who give small chunks. My wife liked it because it had more chicken than batter. Service - The Place had good service. The food came out on time. Servers were checking up on us without hovering or being overbearing. They paid attention when we called asking for help. I was listening to the workers, and they seem to like being there. I mean, "work is work", and no one REALLY LIKES going to work. I'm pretty sure we'd all rather be someplace else besides work. Maybe I caught them in a good mood, but, it genuinely seemed like the moral in the place was good and the people working there that night didn't mind being there. Vibe - Small, family vibe. I liked that there was buzz but it wasn't loud. When we came, most of the people there were older, but as we left later in the evening, a more younger crowd started lining up and coming in. That tells me, they appeal to a wide demographic/pallet, which is good. Overall, it's going on the list of places to go back to and recommend. I don't really like going to ramen places during the summer because it's hot. But I would go here.

Overall, the ramen was very good, but I want to share an important tip about their waiting system so others don't get caught off guard. When your name gets close to the top of the list, do NOT wander away. They will call your name three times, and if you're not standing there, they'll cross your name off immediately. What surprised me was that they start calling names before the current customers have even finished eating or paid their bill. I had made eye contact with the host, pointed to my name and party size, and he acknowledged me. There were still people sitting at the counter eating, and it looked like it would be another 10-15 minutes before seats opened up. I stepped away briefly and came back, only to find my name had already been crossed off the list. The party that was supposedly leaving hadn't even paid yet and was still sitting in their seats. When I explained the situation, the host simply said, "Sorry, your time passed already. I called your name three times." Their sign says they will wait 3 minutes, but in our case it felt more like they called the name three times in quick succession and then removed it. Thankfully, after some discussion, he agreed to seat us anyway. So my advice: once your name is within a couple spots of being called, stay close and pay attention. As for the food, we ordered the Oxtail Ramen (spicy) and the Cashew Pork Ramen. The ramen itself was excellent. The oxtail was tender, although it didn't have a lot of flavor on its own in the soup. They provide a separate bowl with ginger and what appeared to be a ponzu-based sauce, and the intended way to eat it is to remove the oxtail from the soup and dip it into the sauce. That definitely enhanced the flavor. The restaurant is set up with bar-style seating in a half-oval arrangement. Your party will be seated shoulder-to-shoulder, and guests will be sitting directly across from you on the other side of the counter. I'd estimate there are about 25 seats total. Service is efficient, food comes out quickly, and most customers finish and leave fairly fast. For reference, we arrived at 8:38 PM on a Tuesday with 17 people ahead of us. We were seated around 9:15 PM, our food arrived by about 9:30 PM, and we left around 10:00 PM. Overall, this would have been a 5-star experience if not for the confusion with the waiting list. The ramen is absolutely worth trying, but understanding how their queue system works will save you from a potentially frustrating experience.

You satisfy all my…read morecravings for soft noodles swimming in steaming broth with not one, not two, but THREE vegan ramen choices. Yay!! (They also have a cold vegan ramen) I waited until I tried all three of the warm vegan ramens to post this review. Each one has a different broth but all are topped with charred fresh vegetables that remain crisp yet melt in your mouth. Mmmmm! Love that they have eggplant and kambocha, simply brilliant! And the noodles are medium with a slight curl. They have great texture and a bouncy bite. But let's get to the broths. The first one I tried was the clear broth. It was light yet complex, fresh yet savory. The next one was the tan tan. It was creamy and nutty, rich but not gritty (like some tan tan ramens). The last one was the tomato broth, so unique and distinct. It was tangy yet sweet and aromatic. (note: they serve this with a shaker of Parmesan cheese to use as a topping, makes culinary sense, but I also don't consume dairy so passed on the topping). Now you're probably wondering which was my favorite. I don't have one. They are all different and delicious! No complaints. Only praise for three impeccably crafted dishes cooked with care. I adore that I can come back and eat whatever suits my flavor fancy. They also serve a vegan karaage. Crunchy on the outside and soft and tender on the inside but enough texture to make it feel 'meaty.' They do a great job with this dish serving it with a small salad tossed lightly with a goma-ish dressing. There is also a side sweet chili dipping sauce. I also am in love with their chips. Seems like a quirky item for a ramen menu but once you have it you realize how much sense it makes. Cut thin like air, the potatoes are cooked to golden perfection and sprinkled with Himalayan sea salt. It's a great crunchy starter before a bowl of warm sumptuous ramen and something other than your typical gyoza... Speaking of gyoza, they don't have a vegan option but my hubby tried it and always orders a side. They have options with cheese and garlic toppings too. Hubby has also tried their tonkatsu and shoyu ramen and slurped it ALL up. He was especially impressed with the shoyu ramen. All this deliciousness is enjoyed in an air-conditioned restaurant with an industrial steam-punk vibe. High and low tables accommodates seating for couples to groups. They also have a lovely lanai if you prefer eating outside. Street metered parking is easy to find, and they also have validated parking in the small lot. Junpuu is right across the Blaisdell Center so it is a great option if you're there for a fair, concert, or other event. The servers are courteous and efficient, and I give their playlist 5 plus stars. I usually find myself tapping my feet or humming along to the well-curated songs, classic and retro. If you are Gen-X you will totally understand! I came to Junpuu looking for a warm vegan ramen, I found three. And I'll keep coming back and rotating through their stellar selection of amazingly tasty noodle soups. Well, that and the karaage and chips. If you are vegan or vegetarian this is a MUST-try place. But you don't have to be to enjoy the bowls of culinary comfort that comes out of the kitchen of Junpuu.

What really impressed me was the chicken karaage (5/5), as it really had a strong garlic flavor that melded well with the crispy batter and Himalayan salt topping. Overall, this place is a very authentic Japanrse ramen experience and I was very impressed with their food. Would 10/10 recommend and can't wait to go again soon.

This has been one of our favorite places to grab a pre-movie night bite at Ward for years. I was so…read moresad to hear that the classic mall where this cozy joint is located at was being demolished in the name of progress, knowing that this place would be gone. Anticipating that they would be closing in a couple of weeks, we made sure to stop by this weekend to get our fix in. I was so eager to dig into my bowl that I ended up forgetting to snap a picture until after I'd already whacked away at it. Luckily, our server tonight told us that there's a good chance that they will be re-opening nearby in the old Scratch Kitchen location, so hopefully we can continue to enjoy this place in a different setting. My go to has always been their Beefy Wild Ramen. If I'm really hungry I'll opt for their Beefy Wild Beast when I want a pile of their awesome cha siu. My girlfriend likes both the Yuzu and Seabura. We both really enjoy their regular and spicy gyoza. There's always a short wait to get into this place, but it's worth it. Service is quick and efficient, and the food is excellent. I hope to see this place again soon, in a new location.

I thought it would be just Ward Warehouse but now Ward Centre. Now I'm wondering about the Ward Theatre area. Some have found new locations but I'm not too sure about Kamitoku Ramen. I remembered they were selling from their food truck and one time offered their ramen for $5? When they opened their restaurant at Ward Centre, a bunch of us got in for the $8 ramen with a can of soda. They are always busy so I did order take out one time. I was more interested in the appetizers! Crispy beef gyoza, taro tempura and even garlic tempura. They have tofu prepared in different ways. I still haven't tried their Beefy King ramen with all the items on top! I did try their beefy seabura. I want to try here again especially the appetizers before they close this month.

We had a 4 hour layover in Honolulu and it was a quick 15 minute Lyft ride here to Lucky Belly. We were the only party here right at 5:30 pm. Loved the art and clean simple elegance of the exposed brick wall and wood tables. We were greeted and served by a very friendly host. We had the duck tacos, plus the special dim sum appetizer combo of pork belly bao, lobster dumplings and oxtail dumplings. We could not pick a favorite. The variety of textures was fantastic and each of the meat fillings were perfectly seasoned and tender, delicious! Each had a different sauce- just enough, not too much. Nothing was spicy but there was chili oil on the table if you wanted to add more heat. We got 2 nonalcoholic spritzers, one lilikoi and one hibiscus, which were each refreshing and complimented the meal. Since the service was so efficient, after eating, we still had time to zip over to Magic Island to stroll around, take in the scene and enjoy the sunset before heading back to the airport. Our last evening in Hawaii was really special thanks to this delightful restaurant!

The A/C was blowing on our table intermittently, but it was okay because the heat from the sun through the glass front windows at 5:30 PM was intense. I think the shades could be drawn down a bit more. The bi bim bap bowl was very substantial and the meat was nicely flavored, albeit a bit on the spicy side. Chicken and beet salads were also cool and refreshing, with the layered goat cheese and beet terrines being a nice touch. Karaage chicken on the salads was also nicely cooked and moist. The wafu stake was tasty and tender and with a side of rice it made a complete meal (well, no veggies, but...). Parking is available nearby at the lot on the corner of Smith and Pauahi or the underground lot with an entrance on Beretania near Nu'uanu.
