Hangover Burrito Dirty Horchata

My boyfriend was craving breakfast - he did want more of an American breakfast style but this was closest to us. It was pretty good! We both got the hangover burrito. I will say please use less potato - it overpowered everything. The cashier was a sweetheart! It's decorated like a Mexican restaurant w a cool burrito disco ball haha

Pulled Pork and Chicken Tacos

I'm going to be thinking about the chicken taco here for the rest of my life. Also, the Jetlag latte is a certified 10/10. Strolled in on a Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. after a beach day, the place was pretty empty but people were regularly strolling through for pick-up orders. The girl at the front register was so, so nice and explained her favorite items on the menu very excitedly. After I placed my order, she told me it was her first day. She did great! I ordered the Jetlag latte, which is an iced cold brew latte with Nutella and milk, and it is to-die for. It's sweet and full of that great Nutella flavor, and the coffee is smooth. A super satisfying drink. My partner ordered the Lilikoi Lemonade, which we didn't expect to be carbonated, but it was a nice surprise. The carbonation did make the drink taste slightly bitter, but the flavor is still good enough to drink. We also ordered the pulled pork taco, which came with guacamole and pineapple salsa. This one was good, but the taco got super cold very fast due to the cold glob of guacamole on top. The flavor was good. However, the chicken taco.. Oh my god, that taco. I'm from Vegas, so I have great tacos all of the time, but this taco put every other taco to shame. Top 3 taco of my entire life. The chicken taco came with a garlic cilantro sauce, and that was all it needed. Impeccable taco. I will be thinking about it for the rest of my life. Overall, a super cute and really solid place. I plan on coming back here a few more times during my trip to try more items.

Waikīkī Beast and the Hangover Burrito

My fiance and I wanted to try a new breakfast spot and came across this place... it's small but it's MIGHTY! The employees were all so kind and very fast. The breakfast was soo good. I got the Waikīkī Beach sandwich sans tomato and my fiance got the hangover burrito and subbed the pork for beef brisket and we shared the chilli mango and the pina colada smoothies. This is definitely a must-go if you are in the Waikīkī beach area!

Food Cafe on a small street of apartments. Food was tasty, costly for morning snack. Self service : put in your order, get buzzer, pickup order when buzzer rings. No ambiance, just a stop to eat at table and run.

Love, love, love! New location, but the same great quality and taste. The inside is so cute and fun. I still go to the food truck location often (close to my job), but I wanted to check out their new indoor location as well, which is also very close and perfect for lunch. They have an amazing Marshmallow Matcha... I highly recommend it! The pulled pork tacos are heavenly and packed with lots of flavor. I usually switch between the tacos and the bikini panini.

French toast with side bacon and eggs. Nice size serving . Icouldn't even finish it.

The food was great! The prices are really reasonable and the service was excellent. If you haven't tried this place yet, you really need to.

Hangover burrito, grilled banana bread( left) Lilikoi pancake(back) veggie Sunrise (right)

hummus is gonna be a new favorite for me. It was slightly sweet but still savory and anything on a sourdough bread is perfection. For the sweets we tried the Lilikoi pancake and grilled banana bread. Oh my goodness if you love the crumble they put on coffee cakes then you're gonna love the almond crumble in the Lilikoi pancake. It added such a nice textural contrast but still kept a local feel with the freshly cut pineapples and Lilikoi butter. Also while a grilled banana bread sounds simple, trust me this is not! Think Creme brûlée meats banana bread. It's warm and nutty but then has a nice caramelization where it's been grilled. I've had my fair share of grilled corn bread but never had a grilled banana bread. Delicious ! The owner amber is literally the nicest and sweetest lady . The staff are also super awesome too. Definitely worth the drive if you're not in the areas and most definitely worth making the stop if you are in the area! I will have to come back and try more stuff !!

The Hangover

We had The Hangover breakfast burrito and it was fantastic! A huge burrito with great flavors. Staff is so friendly and a great ambiance! A great addition to the neighborhood! Can't wait to work my way through the menu!

It was simple, comforting, and absolutely delicious. My son, who's from California and very serious about his Mexican food, said it was the best bean and cheese burrito he's ever had--which is definitely saying something! The portions are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth, and the spicy sauce has the perfect kick with amazing flavor that takes everything to the next level. If you're craving satisfying, authentic-tasting Mexican food, this place is a must. We'll definitely be back!

The only downside is the parking. I parked up the street and walked down. I would definitely still recommend this place.

First, being Hawaii, decent means not using pasta sauce to replace pico, not using shredded processed cheese, and not using refried beans from a can. Don't think of comparing this to that "authentic ethnic" spot in LA or the over border drunken stint in TJ. All the requisites from tortas, burritos, tacos, enchiladas, fajitas, sopas including pozole and menudo, on offer. Complimentary C&S, just OK. Kinda soggy chips and the watery salsa doesn't much depth despite being fire roasted and not much spice heat. No complaints on the basic rice and refried beans that accompanied the large, stuffed trio of chicken empanadas (usually comes with two, add an additional for $5). Flavorful enough but not that complex mole. They are finished off with some sour cream, raw onions and crumbled cotija. Solid. Fast, friendly service with servers who seem to know their regulars well. Fair pricing with almost everything sub $30. It is what it is. Not bad for Hawaii and works to scratch the Mexican itch.

Price: 2 birria tacos for $17 I get everything is expensive here but this is straight up asinine. Not for this sad looking plate with a dried wedge of lime. Is that supposed to do anything at this point This tells me management is profit maxing without doing anything else to make this into a remotely decent restaurant. Reminder to look into restaurants before going! We saw outdoor area and wanted to grab some margs and left with a bill we thought was the biggest waste of our money so far in 2026. Not to mention their roof leaks so you're not even safe from rain! I highly recommend Taco Bell or any local food trucks! ‍ gd I haven't felt scammed like this in a hot minute.

My son ordered the guacamole and it was so fresh and limey. Also delicious. My grandkids shared a quesadilla which was definitely large enough to do so with. My oldest grandson ordered a torte and he loved it. Also a generous portion. My son and I both ordered the grande burrito. He got his wet and I didn't. But we were looking for something different, quick, and tasty. That's what we got at K-Mex HI although to be quite frank - the parking lot here is terrible! Mostly due to their location in the middle of the street with a handful of street parking locations shared with multiple other businesses down the lane. It took us 3 rounds of driving before we ended up deciding it was better to drop me off to order and pick up the food and have my man drive around into another larger parking lot to wait the 15-ish minutes it would take for our food to be ready. The owners were so nice. Answering all of my insistent questions, smiling when I ended up ordering something different from what they recommended on the menu (my bad - it's a question I ask all businesses even though I usually decide what I want beforehand LOL). They asked if I needed a bag, if I needed utensils and napkins, and even checked in on me while they made the food! Awesome service and I'm sure it would be the same if we decided to eat in. I liked the atmosphere. It was small but homely, clean, and there were a few small fish tanks in the corner! 15-ish minutes later, food packed up - I jumped back in the car and we drove down to South Shore Market in Ward to eat at the tables and take a glance if Ocean Taste's line was... long (it was). And let me tell you... the food? Delicious. The amount of food? Good for the price! And overall pretty darn great experience. I wasn't the biggest fan of the spicy pork (not my preference). But my fiancé liked it and his only comment was that it was a bit greasy for his liking. Reminded him he was in-fact eating spicy pork which is normally served on his plate lunch in a piece of tinfoil so the oil doesn't get everywhere! The carne asada was super delish along with the gochujang hot sauce cups we found at the bottom of the bag. I'd get K-Mex HI again if I was in the area but I'd love to see them in another location where I can more easily park! That's the only real bummer about this place and has deterred me from returning. :(
