He took the time to talk coffee with me, share some insight about the beans, and made the whole experience feel personal, not transactional. I ordered the quiche and a drip coffee, both were fantastic. The coffee was smooth and well balanced, and the quiche was fresh and flavorful. I liked it so much I grabbed a bag of beans to take home. It's also straight up rocket fuel - be warned, it's a very strong and potent brew but will get you going in the morning. I also tried a black sesame latte because it sounded interesting. The cream on top is nutty and rich with the sesame notes and the coffee is good too, though a bit hard to stir together, nor is it as potent as the drip but well crafted nevertheless. When I come again I think I would just pick the classic. All in all, great new coffee shop!

The matcha flavor was pretty weak, so the drink tasted mostly like coconut water. For the prices, $8 is a bit expensive for a cup of coffee, but I think it's still worth every once in a while. I would try the other speciality phin coffees next time and skip the coconut matcha cloud. Overall, I would recommend if you want some Viet coffee and are in the area.
