Wonderful experience with Amira as our waitress if I could leave 10 stars I would everything is made fresh and is very delicious! The ambiance is relaxing and everyone working here is very welcoming

    Setting

The staff and the atmosphere here was soo welcoming and inviting! Our waitress suggested a sample and once we had that tea!!! We had to order it! Not our normal style but the food and the conversation was memorable! We will definitely be back again!! 10/10!!!

Favorite breakfast spot in north GA!! My husband and I go here a lot and we always enjoy the food. I love the farm fresh vegetable omelette with turmeric potato's. The potato's especially are very flavorful. The restaurant is smaller but has a cozy atmosphere with the apothecary being directly connected so you can shop while you wait to be seatedI highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique dining experience or fresh tasting food.

Delicious food, pretty good variety of healthier options with juices, smoothies, teas, gluten free and vegan options, they pretty much have something for everyone! Great service, the atmosphere in here is very mellow and relaxing, perfect place to ease into the day before hiking or tubing. We will definitely be returning on our next visit to Helen!

Great quality food. Excellent service. Hunter was great and everyone who works here really wants you to have a great experience. Excellent size portions and excellent selection. I highly recommend the mushroom chai tea with the elderberry honey. I had the veggie omelette and my husband had the pancakes and eggs. We also shared a fresh made veggie juice.

Went here because other reviews said the gluten free pancakes were good and so glad I did! Sometimes the problem with GF is that they tend to fall apart, but I did not have that issue here! They could make any flavor gluten free and the German apple pancakes I chose were so soft and delicious! They also had a pastry case full of gluten free goodies that looked so tempting! The store attached was nice to browse through while we waited for our food. Everyone that talked to us was very kind and attentive. I would go again and try another flavor if I came to the area again!

Tara prepared delicious cappuccino with artful designs and a special brown sugar blend! Heavenly!

We had a party of 8 with children, and Tara served us well! She was amazing in her specialty coffee drink presentations, food was served promptly and was absolutely delicious! She was the most personable server we have had during our long weekend in Helen, and made our breakfast just delightful! I would recommend this place for is ambiance, delicious food and friendly staff!

It seems to be a local favorite because it was pretty busy when we arrived. We got the last spot in the parking lot. The lot is not paved (dirt and mulch); however, if you have a Tesla they have two charging units in the lot. Staff are very friendly and inviting and they do a good job of cleaning and maintaining the coffee station and customer seating areas. Prices are competitive to other businesses in the area, although the coffee is a bit expensive in my opinion, but it is delicious. I ordered an Americano and it was one probably the best one we had on our whole trip. Nancy and I both ordered coffee's, the Americano was $5.75 and her Coffee of the Day was $4.00. For our breakfast we decided on the Bacon Quiche $7.50 and the Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit $6.95 to share. The Quiche was on point; it was much better than the Biscuit Sandwich. Don't get me wrong both items tasted yummy it's just the biscuit was quite dry. Nancy had to ask for Jelly to spruce it up. They didn't charge extra for the jelly and after adding the jelly the sandwich was actually the bomb; something for the menu development team to ponder. There is not a lot of seating here but it seems most customers are in and out quick except for a few that are working on laptops and whatnot. All-in-all, a great spot for a quick breakfast or brunch and fresh ground and deliciously brewed coffee. I recommend them if you are in the area.

I love their sweet tea and I have recently been ordering their energy drinks. Their paninis and bagels and their avocado toast are delectable. Don't get me started on their pastries! We ordered the pretzel sticks with their beer cheese, and they were incredible. The pretzels were warm, soft on the inside with the perfect chewy exterior, and the beer cheese was rich, creamy, and full of flavor. It was the perfect snack to share while exploring downtown. We also couldn't resist the bakery. We picked up a raspberry Linzer cookie, and it was phenomenal, buttery, perfectly baked, and filled with just the right amount of sweet-tart raspberry jam. Before leaving, we grabbed a bottle of their blueberry maple syrup to take home, and if it tastes anything like everything else we tried, I'm sure it'll be just as amazing. Their bakery cases are packed with fresh breads, pastries, cookies, cakes, jams, and other specialty items that make it hard to leave empty-handed. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and beautifully fits Helen's Bavarian theme. The smell of fresh bread greets you as soon as you walk through the doors, making it feel like an authentic German bakery. Even with how busy it was, the staff kept everything moving efficiently and were friendly throughout our visit. Whether you're stopping in for breakfast, a snack, or just to browse the bakery, Hofer's is well worth the visit. Between the fresh baked goods, delicious food, authentic atmosphere, and unique take-home items, it's easy to see why it's one of Helen's most popular spots. We'll definitely be back on our next trip.

I didn't try either during my visit, so I can't speak to their quality, but it's nice that they have more than just honey available. The highlight for me was being able to sample both their traditional and whipped honey before making a purchase. It was a great way to compare flavors without feeling pressured, and the staff was friendly throughout the experience. After tasting a few options, I ended up taking home the Lemon Whipped Honey and Cinnamon Whipped Honey, and I'm glad I did. The whipped honey has an incredibly smooth, creamy texture that spreads easily, and both flavors were delicious. The lemon is bright and refreshing, while the cinnamon has a warm, comforting flavor that's perfect on toast, biscuits, or even stirred into tea. My only reason for giving four stars instead of five is the price. The honey is definitely on the more expensive side, so it's more of a specialty purchase than something I'd buy regularly. That said, the quality is excellent, and the ability to sample before buying helped make the purchase feel worthwhile. Overall, this is a charming local shop with great products and a welcoming atmosphere. If you're a honey lover or looking for a unique gift, I'd definitely recommend stopping in. I would happily come back to pick up more whipped honey and maybe give the coffee and pastries a try next time.

The food was okay for me, but if you love greasy smash burgers, you'd probably rate it much higher. One thing I didn't love was the pricing. Prices have increased, and there is an upcharge for paying by credit card that I didn't see mentioned on their website. There are also no fountain drinks--everything is bottled and purchased separately. Service was great. The person cooking and serving us was very friendly and genuinely eager to tell us about the food, the location, and their sister restaurant (Hoochee's River basket). So happy that I did! When I walked in, the staff were super friendly and all smiles. The cashier/barista was such a sweetheart! They have a cheese market, deli, bakery bar, and coffee shop all in one! They sell all kinds of charcuterie items, from salami, cheese, jam, jellies, to coffee, candy, wine, and chocolates. They also sell cutting boards and other little trinkets. I absolutely loved that they sell "charcuterie for one" that has cheese, meats, and olives for a single serving on the go too! We saw that they had a lunch box special for sandwiches that includes a sandwich, cookie, pickle spear, and bag of chips for $12. What a steal!!! We decided to get the Jammin' Pig sandwich which is a panini pressed sandwich with ham, brie cheese, and cherry jalapeño jam. The lunch box was a great size and included Lay's regular potato chips and a chocolate chip cookie! They also sell other cookies and baked goodies (brownies, cakes, etc.) at the bakery bar area. The sandwich was probably the best sandwich I ever had in my life. Holy cow! The sandwich was pressed and grilled perfectly with nice grill marks and the meat and cheese was fresh! The brie and the cherry jalapeño jam melted together so nicely and added a creamy and flavorful element to the sandwich. The ham provided the saltiness that helped cut a little bit of the sweetness from the jam. The jam wasn't spicy at all. It was a beautifully balanced sandwich. My husband thought I was exaggerating (because I'm not picky with anything haha), but as soon as he took a bite, his expression was speechless. He loved the sandwich so much, that we decided to come back the very next day and ordered the same sandwich and tried another one. If you want to take another step, take a bite of the sandwich and then a bite of the pickle for that hint of acidity. It causes a umami effect with all the flavors dancing on your palette! For the lunch box special, you either get a chocolate chip cookie or the white chocolate cranberry one (I believe they alternate cookie flavors based on their inventory), but both cookies were delicious. The texture is not like other cookies as it's more like an oatmeal texture kind of deal. A little bit crumbly, but nonetheless, both flavors were very good and tasty. My husband ordered the Kickin' Horse sandwich the day after and he actually liked it better than the Jammin' Pig. His sandwich consisted of ciabatta bread, roast beef, muenster cheese, horseradish sauce, and onion, panini pressed style. I had a bite of his sandwich and all the flavors worked so well. The horseradish sauce brings out the roast beef flavor and enhances the muenster cheese. We tried some iced latte specials as well. We had the "Hippie Chick" that is a lavender honey flavored latte and the "Sweater Weather" which is a cinnamon and caramel? flavored latte. We absolutely loved the Hippie Chick latte and ordered another one when we came back, but the "Sweater Weather" wasn't our favorite. Respectfully, it tasted like a fall candle. It was good, but not the best we've had. Overall, we will definitely come back when we're in the area. The price was worth it for the amount of food that you get! Trust me when I say to get the sandwiches! You will not be disappointed!!! Now I'm craving their Jammin' Pig sandwich....
