Place is very aesthetically pleasing and has a clean look to it. Staff is kind and smoothies came out quickly. However if you are looking for a sweet treat that tastes good this is not the place. It's more of a health bar so their smoothies do have lots of benefits and additives like biotin but do taste healthy. They are also more on the pricier side we paid $30 for 2 smoothies. They have lots of fun snacks and drinks you can also choose from.

Wanted to update my now 3-part review for this location. Both Melissa and Emily really have excellent customer service, and over time- I've been going back more and more frequently. I absolutely love when my order is remembered, and I'm able to receive that type of service here. Just updating my review as I'm looking forward to the summer season and enjoying EarthBar like I have in the past. Excellent customer service.

Came here for a post run smoothie! Got the flax master to share with my sister. Love the thick texture and refreshing açaí flavor. The 24g of protein is also a big plus. Interior was so cute and service was speedy. Great for a warm sunny day and to take on a stroll around fourth street.

Visiting from out of town, I stopped in for a healthy lunch and was immediately welcomed by the friendly staff. The bowl I ordered far exceeded my expectations fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. I would definitely return the next time I'm in the area.

Earthbar is such a cute smoothie bar! It's an excellent pick me up spot if you're in the neighborhood shopping. I ordered the Mint Chip. It was $11 which I thought was reasonably priced. The flavors were on point and the smooth teas very nourishing. The only downside was that the smoothie was on the watery side and it could have been colder.

Store was clean and the staff was welcoming. We were quickly greeted and asked what to order. Luckily we were in the mood for the bowls! Pricing was a bit steep for smoothies. We think the bowl was the best bang for buck. We ordered both and liked the PB the best. Açaí bowl was more on the icy side and clumpy. It also was like any typical bowl we had. We were glad we checked this out but will venture elsewhere if we are in the mood for smoothies in the area. FYI no restrooms in the store for customers

Hella expensive smoothies for something you can probably make at home if you had the same ingredients. I couldn't justify paying $15 for a smoothie on a daily, maybe as a once in awhile treat. The cashier was friendly, though, and was able to honor my discount card I received a couple days ago from an event. I'm not sure if I'll come back simply because of the price tag. The immunity smoothie was yummy, but tasted simple like something I could have made at home.

This was how my order was sent. No holder, sticker so it was tampered with and left in front door.

Ordered a smoothie, ginger shot, and protein bar. The website showed ginger shots available, but it was missing from my order. No call for a substitute or refund, and it was just left at my door without confirmation. I tried calling the store the next day--no answer. Disappointing experience for a $30.23 order. This time from Shattuck location. Last time from this location.

Super cute smoothie bar in a prime shopping area in Berkeley. Aesthetically it's very clean and put together. There's no seating inside but there appears to be a couple of tables and communal areas outside. Service was good, I came early in the morning and was greeted and helped immediately resulting in my things being made to order. I like that some customization is allowed (I.e. I ordered a golden milk latte and asked for no macaroni which was accommodated). The golden milk had all the right flavors, but it wasn't as creamy as I normally like which is consistent with a proper latte. This had the consistency of a tea (if that makes any sense). Again, the flavor and spice is there.

Super good acai bowl, not sweet, packed with granola, strawberries, and banana. Also cacao nibs are a great touch! $15 feels expensive but the size is enough to share for two people.

Best place for a smoothing after a workout or when running errands. They have so many good choices and everything so far has been delicious!

Disclaimer: I LOVE EARTHBAR. Truly, they have helped with immunity and a lot of my gut issues. Also boosting my energy when needed. I crave this place frequently. Only reason for the 3 stars is on today's drinks. These are two of my go to drinks yet they did not taste as they normally do. I have been to this location before and don't remember feeling that way. Today both drinks did live up to par. I drank them as I didn't want to waste money but I'll be sticking to my Chestnut location.

The base of the açai super berry bowl was quite watered down. It was smoothie consistency and was relatively bland for an açai bowl. The person who took my order and put together my bowl seem to be not properly trained. I asked to swap out the almond milk base (I'm allergic to almonds - they make my tongue and throat itchy). They didn't know what other milk options they had. They told me they could swap it out for hemp milk but I later noticed that they don't clean out the blenders in between, so when my mouth got itchy later, it's probably because I got someone's almond milk açai bowl leftovers. It would have been bad if my allergy was more serious and I would definitely have a case for negligence. Granola and blueberries were tasty.

Yeah no. Back in the mid 2000s, til about 2012, I regularly shopped in this small local,…read moreemployee-owned grocers because it was close to where I lived, I prefer small, neighborhood markets, and I liked that everything was organic. I liked the long-time manager Michael (now many years retired). I was out of state for about 10 years, and returned a few years ago. I have dropped in here now and then for an item or two (or just to use the restroom, which is always very clean), and left empty-handed each time because the prices are laughably exorbitant. You can tell a lot about a business - grocers or other - by the mood or attitude when you walk in. I don't know if employees have been burned by bad customers or if it is just more post-pandemic 'Weltschmerz,' but whenever I stopped in here I never felt welcomed, or as though the staff actually enjoy working here. I hear no customer-staff friendly banter, see hardly any smiles. It is just stony-faced, entitled (mostly white) people getting what they need, not interacting with or making eye contact with others, much less exchanging smiles or friendly "hellos." It is one more example of the bratty coldness that has taken over most of Berkeley, which breaks my heart. This used to be a lovely market to call my "neighborhood market," but absolutely no longer is. Before any employees or the manager chime in with a response to defend their laughably exorbitant prices by reminding me of how small a market they are - whoa there, little kitties - your prices are still higher than Monterey Market up the road or another employee-owned market, Berkeley Bowl. I can't even afford to puchase a bottle of mustard here, and must get it at Trader Joes. Be honest: This market is for VERY WEALTHY PEOPLE ONLY or for people who DON'T MIND MAXXING OUT THEIR CREDIT CARDS HERE so that they can feel like one of the "cool kids" for shopping here. Your produce is beautiful, your shop very spic 'n span clean, I appreciate that you offer non-GMO and Fair Trade groceries, but you could do better, truly, by making the less-than-ridiculously wealthy people feel more welcome here. You'd have to care about us first though.
