We asked for our dog to get a bath and cut the day of today before we picked him up and they still didn't find time to do the cut.. I'm not sure what's going on. He's a 10lb Bichon so I can't see the struggle lol Update: We took him to PetCo and Jody did a fantastic job. We finally got to see what our scraggly little rescue dog looked like under his mess of hair! Definitely going back to PetCo for his grooming needs!

The rates have not changed except you now have to pay for play time and bathroom breaks. which frankly is a little inhumane. if you purchased five or 10 packs for daycare there now charging you an additional dollar for pet care which really doesn't make any sense. It should be a standard fee included in the cost. I think I'm gonna take my $2000 to $4000 a year out of Countryside and move it to Indian Bridge. I called on a Monday to book a stay for the upcoming weekend for two nights. The next day found out trip had to be postponed due to covid and called immediately to cancel the reservation I had just booked 24 hours ago. Because their policy is that a reservation must be cancelled at least 10 days prior, I would not be able to recover my 50 percent deposit (of $55). I understand the policy, but many businesses allow a grace period of at least 24 hours, or at least issue a credit to the account. Also, I'm glad it was only a two night stay/$55 deposit and not more. This is the first time I've ever had to cancel but sadly I won't be returning so as not to have this happen again, which I mentioned to them but got no response.

I'm so glad I did! They do day visits which has allowed me to be away from the house for more than 3 hours at a stretch. Sight seeing here I come! I have had them come twice to take my dog out to potty and give him some attention. Both times I have received pictures and a cute report. When I got home he was contentedly sleeping in his bed. At one vet visit I mentioned to the vet tech that we would be boarding our dog later in the year, so needed the appropriate vaccines. She started to advise against boarding an old, blind dog until I told her we were going to Trails End. Her attitude suddenly changed and she said, "Oh, if your using Trails End that's great. They do a wonderful job and it is more like they are in a home." My son is coming to visit in July and I am so happy to be able to take my son to D.C. sightseeing and know that my sweet little dog will be given loving care while we are gone.

All the dogs seemed healthy and happy and well taken care of. My dog is almost a year and a half old now and is completely healthy, at a good weight, and so far there are no problems. Some of the older reviews say they only accept cash or check however we paid by debit card in 2024 so apparently that's a recent change. We got our questions answered easily before and after the transaction they've always seemed available by text if we had a question in the early puppy days since we didn't know what we were doing! The staff was friendly and the price was right. They also offer exit baths and grooming for an extra charge. If you blink you will miss the turn. They are set back a bit but they have added signs to direct you to the location. We are very pleased and will definitely use them again. The only problem we had was that they only accept cash or check. We didn't know that beforehand so I had to run back out another 20 minutes to find an ATM. I didn't even think to ask that ahead of time because in this day in age you would think that everybody would accept a card. Knowing that next time we will bring cash! FYI if you pay with check it's more expensive so bring your cash.
