Quick Read: Usually great, burnt my pizza, took forever. I've popped in this place for years. They usually have incredible pizza. I saw someone gave them one star bc the pizza was "too healthy", wtf dude. Anyway, I went in the other week and it took over an hour for takeout pizza and they burned it. I just took it home bc I was starving, had an hour's drive, and didn't feel like waiting another hour for another pizza. When we got our pizza two of the pieces were missing part of the bottom crust. (see picture) Not even sure exactly how they managed to do this. We told the server who said she would go talk to a manager and the kitchen. Didn't see her again until we had finished the rest of our pizza, clearly avoiding us. We asked what the manager had said (maybe a new pizza or at least a discount) and she admitted she hadn't talked to anyone but "usually we have really good pizza" and told us our next experience would be better. I've been here before and had good pizza, but not this last time. We ordered takeout and they gave us an old pizza that had clearly been sitting around for hours. Good food, fast and friendly, great for a small remote town. I don't get the comparison to Little Caesars in another post, that's bizarre. It's head and shoulders above fast food "pizza". We'd go again in a heartbeat. I can, however, relate to the person who complained about meat scattered on the whole pie when it was supposed to be on half (though not much else about their complaints). Best pizza. Best service. Best location and soooooooooo much fun! The kids in our group (ages 18 months to 14 yrs) LOVED their pies and so did the adults. Top 5 Pizza places of all time!!! I love pizza, one of my favorite cheat foods and these place is amazing. Friends again recommended this place and East 20 did not disappoint. East 20 is a bit out of the downtown Winthrop area, but worth the drive. Casual interior being a bit on the smaller size. They offer a nice selection of local beers and the pizzas are just plain amazing. Thin crust with nice crunch and flavor, we order the Chicken Royale just for something different and could not stop eating it. It was definitely one of the best pizza's I have ever had. This is one of those places that I would immediately pass on because of bad pizza experiences on road trips but after one of the baristas at Kind Grinds highly recommended it to my husband and I we gave it a shot. SO AWESOME. The inside has cozy dark booths and you're surrounded with hilarious vintage Rainier posters. The pizza is absolutely delicious and I was also able to get a spinach salad with chicken that was so fresh and wonderful it rivals anything I've been able to find in Seattle. I've had East 20 Pizza in the past and felt it was fine, but I tried it again after a over year and it was sooooo good! Really delicious pizza. The sauce was tangy and flavorful and the crust was crispy but chewy. We also had the Caesar salad which was very good and nice to have more salad options than just spinach. We did have a mix-up in our order, but the really nice lady at the front window, took care of us.. they mixed up a pizza order with another person with the same first name.. My crew may look like we just fell off the back of an interstellar garbage scow, but we have now been on Earth long enough to know what a pizza is supposed to taste like. (Let's face it: "long enough" is only about twelve hours. Pizza is so common here, I think Starfleet needs to confirm it doesn't actually grow on trees.) So when we find ourselves in a pizza place of the type designated "hipster" -- you know, peculiar ingredients, thin crust -- we know what we are supposed to be getting. And what we are supposed to be getting is a crisp pizza crust...not a floppy piece of dough that's as flaccid as the antennae of a sleeping Andorian. That crust was doubly disappointing because the top of the pizza was delicious. Good ingredients, nicely seasoned, well proportioned. But even we newcomers to the planet know that it has to begin with a good crust. And East 20's crust is just not going to cut it. read more

This is a yearly stop for us when we spend our christmas holidays in Winthrop. To be honest: I look forward to it all year long! I love the super cozy interior (Trivial Pursuit questions on every table!), and the pizza's are quite simply delicious. Service is always fast and friendly. We usually have to wait for a table, but this year's new addition was an awesome outdoor fireplace. Waiting by the fire with a beer, no one was complaining.
