COVID takeout review: We get pizza from East 20 every time we visit the Methow. They are consistently good. We were not able to dine-in at the most recent visit but the takeout process was fast and easy. Called to order and pizza was ready in 15 min. Pizzas are generously sized, reasonably priced, and heaped with toppings. Our go-to order is the Margherita pizza (garlicky!) and Spinach Salad. This place serves some really good pizza - some of the best I have ever had. The pizza has a thin crispy crust with flavorful toppings. We enjoyed the 509er pizza so much we went back again before we left town. Our kids devoured their pizza and commented how yummy it is. Local friend recommended this pizza joint on highway 20 and decided to stop by for lunch. They do have rather odd timings (opened at 2 pm on a Saturday) so make sure to check online or call in advance, before making the drive down to their store. Great pizza though, super fresh ingredients and very flavorful combinations. They carry salads, calzones, several vegetarian and meat combo pizzas as well as over 10 draft beers. We placed a phone order and our food was ready 15 minutes later, however they are pretty popular so I think we just got lucky with the quick timing. Definitely worth checking out!! read more

I have been to East 20 Pizza a number of times and each time, the quality of the pizza gets worse and worse. Was there last weekend, yes they were busy but this pizza place has been there awhile and the overall service was unorganized, discombobulated and chaotic. The pizza was terrible, could have made a better pizza out of cardboard. I truly do think the only reason this place is busy is because Winthrop has very limited choices for restaurants, not because their pizza is wonderful. So if you can avoid this place, I strongly encourage you to buy the frozen pizza at the local grocery store and cook that up instead, you will save yourself a lot of money and have better pizza. read more

It's been quite a while since I've visited Winthrop so eating at East 20 was a new experience for me and I was really impressed. The pizza was great! We were seated right away when we arrived and we each ordered our own pizzas. My pizza was absolutely delicious. I did a create your own pizza. A couple of others in our party did some specialty ones. Everyone had great things to say. The wait staff was busy with others the whole time but that didn't bother us - our pizzas were brought out promptly and devoured in no time. Great place to eat if you're in Winthrop. I will start by saying that the pizza is pretty good. It's not fabulous but it's pretty good and I have purchased it a number of times in the past. What annoys me most is the current price. I ordered a medium sized 509'er with extra garlic and paid $27.00. The price has significantly risen in the last couple years to the point that I am very tempted to stop purchasing pizza here. According to "Real Simple" the average cost of a medium sized pizza nationally is $17.81. The State of Oregon has the highest national price at $26.84. East 20 Pizza charges more than the average price of pizza in the entire US. It's kind of disgraceful. read more

Best pizza I have had in my life. The Margherita pizza was absolutely delicious. Also, it had actual tomato slices on top of it! I've been to a lot o& pizza places, and most put only tomato sauce on their Margherita pizza. The tomato slices definitely added some flavor. The food arrived promptly, and servers were polite. The ambiance was cool, with lots of sports flags on the ceiling that gave it a funky, unique vibe. Would strongly recommend the Margherita pizza. But do note that there was music playing, and some of the songs were pretty explicit and not bleeped out/replaced in any way. Kids 10+ or so (depending on how you feel about explicit songs) should do great here! I wouldn't recommend for a date, not super romantic but really fun place to meet up with some friends! read more

What a great spot! My husband, son and I went here with our two dogs. It was really hot and all the outside tables were occupied. I went inside to get on the waitlist and they were able to get us a table in minutes - and took the time to reassure us that our pups were 100% welcome in their outdoor dining. It was a busy summer evening, but our waitress was great. She got drinks for us and water and milk bones for our dogs! Oh and the pizza was amazing. Maybe the best in eastern Washington. Surprisingly awful pizza tonite. It's been getting worse over the past few years but I didn't expect it to be this bad. Crust like cardboard and no taste. Toppings were dried out. Cheese had no stretch. Was this previously made and frozen then slid into a too hot oven? Who knows but for $31 it made for a very disappointing meal. I would have been better off getting two frozen pizzas from thriftway. Next time I'm in the valley I won't be looking forward to a fresh pizza at the end of a day outside. read more

Love the pizza, normally service is good. However, I had a horrible experience tonight. We ordered pizza at 4:30 PM. We came at 6 PM to pick up pizza (not paying attention to time) and the teenage girl told us that it was only a few minutes until it was ready. After waiting 45 minutes I checked in with her and she was incredibly rude and said that the pizzas weren't going to be ready when our receipt said they would be. I explained to her that obviously that makes total sense and that we have no problem waiting but she specifically told us that we only had a few minutes to wait. When I spoke to her she explained that she never actually looked at our ticket and she just gave us the generic response. With five young children, we would have handled that evening much different if communication would have been better The other employees, especially the women with the Hawaii hat were incredibly kind! We are frequent customers and unfortunately the women who helped us ruined it. I also want to add there was at least 3 other parties that were frustrated with her. She was rude, short and unprofessional. She clearly thought she was better then everyone. Lastly, it is VERY important that the other teenage girl who was working was INCREDIBlE! I got half Chicken Royale and half Sweet N Spicy sausage and tasted yummy. I think Sweet N Spicy tasted better than Chicken Royale. I loved it. However it still left 4 of us hungry and was not big enough. It'd been better if we ordered more. Busy pizza place so expect the wait. This place is the bomb!!! We came here last summer and were impressed by the tasty pizza and decided to stop by again on our recent trip to town for some hiking and camping adventures. We were trying to minimize our COVID exposure risk so we were really happy to see there was online ordering available. We placed an order and picked it up to take back our campsite. We tried the Thai pizza and the sweet and spicy sausage. Let me tell you what......the sweet and spicy sausage is the best pizza I've had IN MY LIFE. It's so dang good. The mixture of white and red sauce and slightly spicy pineapple is AMAZING. We loved this place so much we ate there two nights in a row. The second night we had the sweet and spicy sausage and the chicken royal. All pizzas were delicious. But def try the sweet and spicy sausage unless you're one of those weirdos who think pineapple does not belong on pizza. read more

Well, not what I was hoping for or expecting... The host asked a server if they were still serving outside, the servers said, "Yes." We were "seated at 7:05pm outside to enjoy the fire tables and outdoor heaters and were told our server would be right with us. After waiting for 20 minutes...we went back inside and inquired about the whereabouts of our server, perhaps they got lost? I get it is within an hour of closing... but still if they don't want to serve customers after 7pm, they should at least post a sign saying as much. Moreover, while we were waiting, another member of the staff came out and was resupplying tables with napkins, including ours!!! But still no waitstaff to be found. We love margarita pizza so with it on the menu, that's what we ordered. It was just a run of the mill, average pizza. Nothing about it wow'd me at all. In fact, I had to salt and pepper my slices as it was just that bland. We ordered the Greek salad to share beforehand, this salad was the highlight of the dinner. It was full of flavor and had lots of toppings with every bite. Don't you hate it when you get minimal toppings and by time you're at the bottom of the salad, you just have lettuce? Walked from the KOA just about 10 minutes, service and the pizza was amazing! With the large you can get a half and half so take that route to try two in one. I cannot think of another pizza that is better than this and we have had pizza all over the state of Washington. A must stop when in Winthrop!!!!
