Seafood platter

We have been coming to Navarre past 10 years and I don't know how we missed this place until tonight. Crab cake was simple and done to perfection. Loved the stuff mushrooms and the crab balls. Server Izzy was super friendly and provided excellent service. Loved the atmosphere and the decor. We will definitely be back again, very soon. Highly recommend.

We had the crab dip for two, Cajun Angels and Stuffed Flounder Parmesan. We were really excited based on the menu and the descriptions. And the food wasn't bad, it just really didn't have flavor to any of the food...potatoes and green beans included. There should have been a lot of flavor based on the menu descriptions. We came in closer to closing time and the manager on duty seemed very low energy. Perhaps because of a long night, but based on our experience at other restaurants in the area, it felt like it could've used a pick me up. Ambiance lived up to the name "Crab house." It was a recommended restaurant for the area. We'd give it another go on our next visit, just would hope it would set a higher bar!

Ragin Cajun with Redfish. Comes with a side of coleslaw, green beans, and your choice of new potatoes or fries. This was around $35 I think

The staff was very kind, attentive, and friendly. The decor gives an old man fish house vibe which was kind of fun for a relaxed evening dinner! The food is what missed the mark for us. Everything was priced pretty high for what you got, and all of the food was pretty bland with the exception of crab legs. This would have been an awesome restaurant for us had the food been tasty/ worth the price.

The food was excellent! Shrimp was cooked perfectly. Tartar sauce was exquisite! Only thing it was pricey for the quantity.

Scooter's Fish House must be good if it has a line out the door, right?…read more We visited with a party of 10 and ordered a little bit of everything: bang bang shrimp, grilled shrimp, fried swordfish, fries, coleslaw, hush puppies, and chargrilled oysters. Once you place your order at the window, you're handed a drink cup and sent into the chaos of finding a table. The place stays busy, and with the crowd, TVs, and constant activity, it can get pretty loud. If you're hoping to have an easy conversation with your group during dinner, be prepared to compete with the noise. That said, the atmosphere is fun. The restaurant is full of local character, plenty of decorations, and enough going on to keep things interesting while you wait for your food. The food came out hot and fresh from the kitchen window. The chargrilled oysters were the highlight of the meal--piping hot, perfectly cooked, and served with fresh lemon. Everything else was solid and exactly what you'd expect from a casual seafood spot, but nothing really stood out as memorable. Overall, Scooter's is a good place to grab seafood if you're already in the area. The oysters are worth ordering, the atmosphere is lively, and the food is consistently decent. Just don't expect a meal that's worth making a special trip for. TL;DR: Good food, great oysters, fun atmosphere--but not quite destination-worthy.

We visited Dewey's in Navarre around 8:05 PM on a Wednesday night. The food was outstanding,…read moreeverything was cooked perfectly, flavorful, and easily deserving of 5 stars. The setting was also beautiful. We chose to sit outside overlooking the bay. While it was dark enough that we had to use our phone flashlights to see our food, we didn't mind because the skyline view was lovely and we enjoyed watching the glow-in-the-dark kayaks on the water. Unfortunately, the service was a different story. You order and tip at the counter before being served, then find your own table. Once seated, it was unclear whether food would be brought out, whether our name would be called inside, or what the process was. No one ever came outside to check on us, offer napkins, provide condiments, or ask if we needed anything. I eventually sent my 11-year-old daughter inside to ask for napkins. The restaurant was not busy, and there appeared to be plenty of staff on hand. However, it felt like everyone was focused on cleaning and closing for the night rather than taking care of the guests who were still dining. My only suggestion would be to reconsider the tipping process. Since gratuity is collected before any service is provided, it's difficult to know what level of service you're rewarding. If I returned, I would likely skip the pre-tip option and bring cash to tip afterward based on the actual experience. The food was excellent, but the lack of service left a lasting impression. Based solely on the meal, I'd absolutely return. Based on the service, I'm not sure I would.

I ordered the special (Alfredo with blackened shrimp). It was DELICIOUS. The Hugo spritz was also good. Abigail was prompt, kind, and accommodating. The one small issue is that the outdoor string lights weren't working, but Abigail brought out table lamps to provide light once it got darker outside. The ambiance outside was nice too with a beautiful view of sunset and comfortable shaded area. The prices are more reminiscent of LA but the quality of ingredients was great. The service, sufficiently attentive. The view? Omg spectacular. Parking is simple. It's tucked in Navarre Beach which is a quiet, peaceful place. We sat outside and had it to ourselves because it was hot. The indoor was cute though. Nice high, beam vaulted ceilings and very fun scallop shell light fixtures. It felt like a beach house but nonetheless we opted for the fresh air overlooking the gulf. We had shade although they also have sofa seating in the sun. The salad was the best I've had here locally. Reminiscent of a CA salad and I deeply missed that. The pork belly was wild! A thick generous portion. My husband devoured it. It was very good, although he found it slightly overdone, I did not as pork should be cooked thoroughly. I am looking forward to returning here. It's one of the best meals we had here, right on par with Jackson's & the Grand Marlin.

It wasn't overly crowded for a holiday weekend night near NYE but had enough of a crowd. The drinks were fine and no complaints on that front. Had no complaints for the bartender until about an hour into our visit. He literally disappeared for ~30 minutes with a half full bar. No issue once he came back and I closed out. When I asked for my credit card he had to go behind the bar to retrieve it, which I thought was odd. Then when I returned home after cashing out I had $288 of fraudulent charges from Walmart Online applied to my card. I'm not saying the bartender did it, but it was suspicious. Be careful out there!
