Amazing Team I have been taken my Corgi mix Lily To East Bay Kennels for about 5 years ! Doggie day care , boarding, grooming Etc.. recently I needed surgery right away and they were able to accommodate me with no problems! I took my little dog for his 4th grooming visit and his last. The trimming was horrible. All uneven and parts of his body wasn't touched at all. I called, the groomer argued with me that he only bathed him same as last time. Last three times he was trimmed just fine. He asked me to bring him in so he can see. After I showed him my dog he could not accept that he did a bad job. That he used #4 blade as he used before. That blade was the groomer's choice. The thing is he did a very bad job with that blade. I went to show the dog to a person at the reception desk so he could see what I was talking about. He told me I am crazy and stupid to get out and take my dog somewhere else. Unbelievable! I paid for service that they did not do correctly then I was treated that way. Do not take your dog there for grooming. Apparently they don't need the business if that's the way they treat customers. read more

I chose East Bay because of all the good reviews I read on merchantcircle.com and across the web when I googled "East Bay Kennels review". When I dropped Olive off (for 5 days), I was nervous because she's pretty much my child and we don't spend much time apart. I asked to see the facilities, and for such a small town/area, the kennel was packed! I was happy about this because Olive loves playing with other dogs. The place was clean and while the kid at the front desk seemed mildly miserable, the rest of the staff I met were very nice. When I picked Olive up, they knew her very well so I could tell she wasn't ignored or anything while she was there. They separate the dogs into, I think, three groups.. The big dogs, medium and little dogs. Then they let them play together in this outdoor area for different periods throughout the day. When Olive got home, she slept for 12 hours straight. Me thinks she got plenty of exercise!! Also, her stay seemed to cure a little of her anxiety about me leaving. She used to whine if I ever left her in the crate while I ran out to go see a movie or something (in general, she usually comes with me everywhere). Now she whines for about a second and then just mopes ;) The bad thing though, is I think she got used to playing rough with the other doggies at the kennel cause she has this new habit of getting excited, jumping up and BITING MY ELBOW. I don't know what that's about but I hope she gets over it. Overall, they took good care of my doggy-daughter and they're not overly expensive ($125 for 5 days). Pickup is noon (which they don't charge you for), so it's really like a little doggy hotel. I didn't have any trouble getting her boarded, just had the vet fax over her shot records. Don't think she picked up any fleas while she was there either. I'd certainly recommend this place for any other doggies. read more

I wouldn't take a member of the family any where else. The dogs get out to play with each other, which can easily be seen on your first visit. The staff is knowledgeable and caring. The boarding rules are strict, so call before you drop off your pet. As many have already said -- wag more, bark less -- this place earns 5 solid wags, and keeps them going. read more

If you love your dog and care for it, this is not a place that would interest you. I went to the East Bay Kennel to check it out. The young lady at the desk was friendly, but was not knowledgeable to answer our questions. I walked thru with the caretaker to the outside run. There was a young dog that was being pushed and humped by two aggressive dogs. This was being done over and over again in full view of the caretaker, who did nothing. She did mention to us that the stones in the run cause the dogs to have sore pads after running on them. There was no supervision out there until we went out. There also seemed to be too many dogs (about 18 to 20) medium to large in the pen together being overly aggressive to one another. It would break my heart to leave my dog here. Just as it broke my heart to see that young dog being harassed. read more

We use East Bay Kennels for doggie day care and also for boarding when we go on vacation. We can't recommend the Correia family enough, all the staff treat the dogs like family. They really love all the animals. Our dog is always happy to go in to see her friends. The prices are reasonable. Great kennel! I have been using them for awhile and my dog enjoys being here and playing with all his "Friends". Reasonable prices too. Grooming is not great, so i don't use that service. And at times the front desk is not the friendliest, but sometimes they are. BUT the people working with the dogs are super nice and the dogs get out of their runs and play a LOT. I am took my dogs here for 7.5 years. Karl, Jeremy, Korinne and the rest of the staff are great. They are the nicest and most caring people ever and truly feel as though they were family to my dogs. It was more than just a place to leave you dog for the day. They make an effort to get to know you and your dogs and genuinely care for their well being. I researched kennels throughout RI and choose this one because twice a day the dogs go out and play. The facility seemed clean, they were more than willing to show me around. They also are willing to follow special diet instuctions. They gave him a bath before I picked him up. The reason I gave it four stars was the price was more than I expected and I didn't receive an itemized list explaining the charges. My dog loved it and I would use them again. read more

I bring my dog to East Bay Kennels several times a week for daycare she loves it and I know they take very good care of her, I have also boarded my dogs here they are great with them they gave them baths before we picked them up. I even get my dogs groomed here every 4 weeks they take there time and cut them just how I ask where other places I went didn't follow what I wanted. Was looking for a place with doggie day care to send my dog while i was on a extend trip, I stopped in and spoke with the owner she was so friendly and warm I thought I found the right place. Preparing for my dogs trip I measured out her food by breakfast and dinner and divided it into individual zip lack bags. I packed her bed, blanket, and toys. When the time came to drop off my dog the owner was not there, but I assumed everything would be ok. On my pick up day I arrived at 8am anxious to see my dog, the lady behind the window handed me my dogs toys? I thought it was strange that she had them, then they brought out my dogs extra food! She should not have had extra food 2 days worth!! Then they brought out her bed that had obesely never been slept on since my girl loves to chew her bed, and her blanket that did not have one single dog hair!! I don't understand why her comforts of home would be denied from her. When I questioned the older lady behind the desk she just told me she wasn't in last week. If your dog is part of your family and you want them to have the same experience while your on vacation I would not go here.... read more
