I suppose I knew it was possible to run over a nail with a car, but never actually imagined I'd do it. Alas, I went out the other day to run a quick errand and found a low tire with a nail punctured perfectly into it. There was nowhere local that could take me last minute on a Sunday, so I made a Monday morning appointment at one place that was at least open and answering phones when I called, but stopped in at Brandon Tire on my way -- their reputation was much better and I figured it was worth a shot. Turns out it was the best choice I could have made! I arrived 10 min before opening and they had my car lifted before the clock even struck 8am. About 30 minutes later, I was out the door. $35 for the fix and a lovely time chatting with the office staff while they took care of my car turned what had initially worried me as an expensive and pain-in-the-neck repair into a joyful start to my workweek. This company is a total rip off! They supposedly installed brake pads, performed a brake service and resurfaced drums and rotors on my vehicle six months ago. Today, after a week of my brakes shimmying, I took it to the dealer. They told me that the rotors had never been trimmed or resurfaced, and that the company I took it to, East Bay Tire, uses after market parts. I paid $400.00 six months ago to this company only to pay another $675.00 today to get the job done right! read more

Thieves. DO NOT GO HERE. Charged 3 hours for a hub seal replacement when I had the other side just done at a dealer for 1 hour. Owner is an absolute A$$. I asked why it took his professional 3x as long to do the job and he said 'walk or pay...'. Very pleasant person. Also, damaged abs system during hub seal repair and I have to take them to court to get compensated. After overcharging me $430 I now have to find a $1200 abs repair in Las Vegas. Then fly back to marin (I live in Utah) to take them to court. Also, no one is wearing masks in the COVID pandemic mandate. I could go on. read more

Made a weekday/late morning appointment for a tire rotation and I'm not sure why they even take appointments if there's no attempt to meet it. Took my truck to another tire shop to see about an alignment. He told me my tie rods were bad and said he could fix it, quoted me a price that seemed high. Took it to Brandon's and they found what was really wrong with it. My whole front end was "falling out of the truck". The employee's are always nice, professional, usually funny, and never make promises they don't keep. If they say your car will be done at noon, it's usually done before noon! An unmitigated disaster. AVOID! After coming in for a single Michelin tire replacement on Friday morning, I was clearly told that "5:00 pm was closing time" and my car would be ready that evening. When I arrived at 4:50 pm, one of the employees was locking the gate to the yard and the business was closed. I suggested he telephone someone to come back and allow me to obtain my car, but he said "I have no phone numbers." When I looked at my phone messages, I found that Bruce had called me at 4:30 pm and left a message indicating he was leaving at 4:45 pm and hoped I had not heard 5:00 pm as the closing time. So my car with replaced tire was held hostage the entire weekend since BRANDON was closed both Saturday and Sunday. There was no response to my email asking for somebody to come and let me get my car during the weekend. When I called on Monday morning to complain, it turned out that Bruce is actually the manager of the business. When I requested to the phone receptionist to speak to the owner of the business, she indicated that "their owner never comes in and is over 80 years old." When I suggested with some anger to manager Bruce that the above treatment was totally unacceptable, he responded negatively without apologizing, called me "an asshole", and hung up on me. He also did not acknowledge my statement that their own website says the company is open Monday - Friday from 7:30 to 5:30. His response to my pointing this fact out was that the information was no longer relevant. How about that! A good discount was given for this outrageous situation when I picked up the car by another employee, but no amount could soften my dissatisfaction with the disaster to my weekend and incredible response by Bruce. My own company office is actually walking distance from BRANDON tire. I'm essentially a neighboring business. This type of behavior and treatment was wildly inappropriate. My suggestion is to use CAIN in San Rafael and not BRANDON. This was a fascinating case study in how not to do business. read more

Every time I need a tire, which is a lot since I have a Mustang, I go to these guys...they're always eager to help...I never have to wait and the price is always right. They even put out a spread of food for their customers on certain holidays, and I have had some awesome meatballs there, while my tires were getting replaced. I highly recommend this place to most of my friends because of the location which is really easy to access. It's just behind the Best Buy...and well...they're always open. Great job fellas! The owner himself even came out to talk with me and ease my mind. I went in expecting 4 new tires at a fortune, and they told me I only needed 2, at a fair price! I had a flat that morning with a big bolt in my tire. Being that is was raining and I have a truck I felt that I should get new tires. First the gentlemen said I do not need them but I told him I wanted new ones because I was planning on going to Lake Tahoe this month. I do not work in the tire industry, therefore I am not knowledgeable about tires, and I'm sure she could sense that, but that's her job!! I rode (very slowly) on the flat to a big brand tire store nearby and was poorly greeted, not helped, and the gentleman treated me like a nuisance. I called up the closest tire place and they answered the phone (even though it was before they opened). I drove (very slowly) to Brandon Tire and the staff was friendly, the service great, and he was able to help me with slightly used tires. I moved to this area just days ago. I should've written this review a long ago, because my family and I have had such a great experience with Brandon Tire for the last 10+ years. They have incredibly friendly and fast service and do a great job. I never feel like they're trying to upsell me on anything, and really, most the time I go there I end up leaving without paying anything, because they offer free tire rotations every 5000 miles to their customers. I, nor anyone, at the Sears tire shop in Northgate yesterday could figure out how a Phillips head screwdriver could have pushed OUT of my drivers left rear tire. They said it couldn't be repaired by Sears AND i would need four new tires since replacing one single tire required all four since I am 4WD ... about $800. So, driving on the donut, I took it to Brandon Tires in San Rafael where a guy named Bruce took GREAT care of me and my tire. Solved the screw driver mystery, fixed the tire and sent me on my way after a bill of $25.00 in about 20 minutes! BTW, the screwdriver was a double sided insert for one of those four-way types. read more
