Chung Wah has been around for a minute: I remember coming here when it was a full service restaurant. Although it is now a carry-out, there was a table and few chairs if you wanted to eat there. The ambiance was like a traditional Chinese carryout -out: fast and efficient in taking and preparing orders. When I got there, I was greeted by a pleasant young lady and told her my order number (which came via text). It was ready in the time they stated. The shrimp Yat was just ok, the noodles were cooked well with a hard boiled egg. It was coated in a soy sauce infused sauce with a slightly sweet taste. The shrimp fried rice had SEVEN shrimp () along with peas and carrots, which I didn't know was in it because I detest those in my Chinese food and I just took them out (my bad...I should have asked). The shrimp egg rolls were good, but small and not greasy. Sorry I forgot to take pics of the food... All in all, the food was much better when it was a full service restaurant.

We came back to pick up our order and it was waiting for us. We opened the bag to check that it was correct, grabbed assorted condiments (soy ,duck, and hot sauce packets) and cutlery and were on our way. The pork yat was good, not overly oily and drenched in soy sauce. There were fried yellow onions and a boiled egg included. The shrimp egg foo yung lunch special consisted of two patties made with egg, shrimp, and onions with fried rice and a small container of gravy. It was just ok, lacking a fair amount of shrimp. The gravy was light-skinned, lol, but ok as well. The egg rolls were a nice, hefty size deep fried and not greasy at all. It was a decent egg roll with shrimp scattered about, but not as good as I wanted it to be. All in all, a nice place to grab some traditional Chinese takeout.
