Still delicious. This time we ordered take out. I wasn't quite in the mood for traditional chinese food, so I got a curry chicken dish and I wasn't sure what to expect! Turns out, it was soooo good!! I'm a fan of Caribbean curry, so I couldnt be sure the cross over would be easy, but this completely stood on its own! I will be back again and again to try this dish!

There's nothing super bad about little Phoenix. We decided to try it again after about 5 years when our normal Chinese food restaurant (Hunan Joy) was closed for a week. Once again, we were very disappointed. The wontons in the wonton soup are VERY soggy and the broth had no flavor. The spare ribs were a good size and cooked well (juicy inside) but as you can see from the pictures, they had literally no sauce on them. The Chow Mein had a generous portion of chicken but way too little cabbage and the sauce is very bland. The Pork Fried rice was the best thing we had but warning, it's heavy on soy sauce so if you aren't a big fan of soy sauce, you won't be a fan of this. Again nothing here screams terrible, it's just not good and there's better options in the area.

So this might sound crazy but my mom picked this restaurant for her birthday dinner. I was skeptical at first too but my mom is super picky so I knew if she picked it, it might be a hidden gem. We walked in and were greeted and seated immediately. The place was pretty empty so I was nervous lol. The server room our drink orders and came back to take food orders in like 5 minutes. I was happy because honestly, I was starving. My tea hit the table and I lie to you not, 10 minutes later they were bringing out piping hot entrees and appetizers. I was very happy because my mom loves hot food, but it's gets better. All of my food was delicious. Nobody's food was wrong and again it was all piping hot. Our server took pics for us, boxed food for us, lit candles for us and sang happy birthday. My family had an amazing time. I just wished they had cots in the back because we were all ready to hit the hay after all that good food. The portions were huge and we got exactly what we paid for. I think me and my mom juts found our new favorite lunch spot. They were really amazing and made sure my family had a great time. I strongly recommend this place. There is plenty of parking, so drive over and treat yourself. The only con is the chips on the table. Don't eat those!!

Great sign!

Turn left. Once you get inside, if you had a Yelp-Grubhub order or a phone order, turn left. Like Donna had to in that Doctor Who episode of the same name. If you go right, you're in the dining room, and that's not the right place. If you go left, you can pick up your food. I ordered orange chicken and beef chou chou. I love that they actually call beef on a stick chou chou. When a place uses that or Cho Cho, I feel better. "Beef on a stick" on a menu makes me think of the Renaissance festival and their steak on a stake (and a deplorable person that used to work there). But chou chou? Sounds like a Chinese appetizer. The beef was tender and juicy. I loved it. The orange chicken had some onions or something in it, which added to the flavor. It was a little spicy, like I love. Good portion size. It was ready earlier than it was supposed to be, and the staff I spoke with were great.

The menus, the decor, the venue and high ceilings, the private rooms. Their menu had half to full page detailed photos and descriptions of almost every dish. And they had a large menu to accommodate to whatever you are craving. Their food was so good. Everything was seasoned just right to my liking. The spice levels for the sichuan pepper-centric dishes were the star but never overpowering or too spicy. And surprisingly, the pricing for each of the dishes were so low compared to the experience I was getting. Like I kept thinking how can this product be this good but this cheap? Came here for some Chinese food takeout for lunch…read more The restaurant is located in Route 40 West, the same shopping area as the H Mart. There is plenty of parking available in the area outside the store. The ambiance was cool, with folks coming in and out and there is also seating to enjoy your food onsite. If you've been ordering Chinese food as long as I have, you know the best time to purchase is during their "lunchtime" special for a great price on a smaller portion of your favorite item. It's usually accompanied by a basic fried rice, white rice, or noodles. I ordered the shrimp egg foo yung lunch special with fried rice; pork yak; and shrimp egg rolls. I like China Chef because they have an open kitchen just behind the counter and can see them preparing orders. We placed our order with a pleasant lady at the counter, paid in advance, and did some shopping at the local grocery store and came back to pick it up. We came back to pick up our order and it was waiting for us. We opened the bag to check that it was correct, grabbed assorted condiments (soy ,duck, and hot sauce packets) and cutlery and were on our way. The pork yat was good, not overly oily and drenched in soy sauce. There were fried yellow onions and a boiled egg included. The shrimp egg foo yung lunch special consisted of two patties made with egg, shrimp, and onions with fried rice and a small container of gravy. It was just ok, lacking a fair amount of shrimp. The gravy was light-skinned, lol, but ok as well. The egg rolls were a nice, hefty size deep fried and not greasy at all. It was a decent egg roll with shrimp scattered about, but not as good as I wanted it to be. All in all, a nice place to grab some traditional Chinese takeout.

It is still a bit far (35min), but doable. I had originally made the nice lady very nervous with my request and she tried to convince me to try the dish that was advertised with the glass noodles, but i assured her that it would be fine as i normally eat noodles without soup. I ordered the 3 oil noodles with ground pork. It was very tasty. Especially after i added vinegar and the house chili oil. Definitely coming back.

My go-to is the lamb noodle…read moresoup with a spicy broth, and it never disappoints--rich, flavorful, and packed with tender pieces of lamb. One of the highlights is the handmade noodles, which you can customize in thickness, from delicate angel hair to something as hearty as fettuccine. The menu has plenty of variety beyond soups, including dumplings, spring rolls, stir-fried noodles, and oil-tossed noodle dishes. I also tried the braised intestines on the side; while they were well-prepared, the texture wasn't quite for me--I'd probably enjoy them more if they were fried. Ordering is convenient, whether you prefer doing it in person, through the app, or at the kiosk. The space has a good number of tables for dining in, and there's even a piano if you know how to play. Overall, it's been a consistently enjoyable spot for lunch.

Came here to get some shrimp fried rice, shrimp yat, and shrimp egg rolls…read more I called the order in and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. Chung Wah has been around for a minute: I remember coming here when it was a full service restaurant. Although it is now a carry-out, there was a table and few chairs if you wanted to eat there. The ambiance was like a traditional Chinese carryout -out: fast and efficient in taking and preparing orders. When I got there, I was greeted by a pleasant young lady and told her my order number (which came via text). It was ready in the time they stated. The shrimp Yat was just ok, the noodles were cooked well with a hard boiled egg. It was coated in a soy sauce infused sauce with a slightly sweet taste. The shrimp fried rice had SEVEN shrimp () along with peas and carrots, which I didn't know was in it because I detest those in my Chinese food and I just took them out (my bad...I should have asked). The shrimp egg rolls were good, but small and not greasy. Sorry I forgot to take pics of the food... All in all, the food was much better when it was a full service restaurant.
