I had a shrimp egg roll here and although there was a bit much dough, the taste was not bad. The taste was also surprisingly, non-greasy and was satisfying which shocked me as this is a no frills, quick fix, low-cost, Asian fast food joint. The place gets a lot of business from the locals though. The service is polite and efficient, it seems. (Do not expect gourmet.) I am not particularly a fan of fast food, no matter what the branding or type of cuisine, but I will say when I had some of the shrimp egg foo young, it was better than what I would expect. I only added a small spoon of the thick, high-caloric gravy which was placed on the side. If you are on a tight budget, this place may work for you. I must say, I have been ordering from China dragon for over a year. Mostly from door dash. Tonight was the first time that I did not do a DoorDash order and needless to say prices were different and I did contest. My general Tso's chicken combo was riddled with a salty flavor, the shrimp toast (reason why I went there) was TERRIBLE! I have had the shrimp toast (on many occasions) and it was the things that childhood memories were made of) I asked to have beef fried rice with my combo and was told my order would be 27.00. SERIOUSLY, combo was 12, shrimp toast was 7 and I can't understand WHY it was so expensive. After getting home, the toast tasted like "sausage" ( which I threw away) and the chicken was salty (completely inedible) I have lost faith in a place that I sincerely thought was a saving grace among "standard" Chinese carry outs. Food is delicious but you cannot call them directly. A lot of these Chinese restaurants are now using call centers. If you have to call in regards to an order it's highly likely that you will be speaking from someone from a call center and not a person in the restaurant. By the time they get your information and say they'll call you back, the order has already been cooked and is likely on its way to be delivered. I've been anxiously awaiting the grand opening for this restaurant ever since I noticed the coming soon sign in the window. There are several Chinese carry-outs in the immediate vicinity, but fresh and new is always exciting. One evening after work, I decided to place an order to give China Dragon a try and was pleasantly surprised. The inside of the restaurant is new and clean. It is spacious and has plenty of chairs for customers to sit while they wait for their order. There is actually enough space for a few small tables, but I am sure they would rather folks not dine in, due to the ongoing pandemic. I placed my order through GrubHub and within 15 minutes, my order was ready for pickup. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken, all white meat, which came with a vegetable spring roll. I also ordered some crab rangoons. The fried rice served with the chicken was very tasty. They use tons of onions and sprouts which added to the taste. The chicken was also great. The skin was crispy and the sauce was flavorful. The spring roll was nice and crispy and not greasy. The crab rangoons on the other hand were just ok. They were flat and lacked sweetness. But I appreciated that they also were not served greasy. My husband has been back to the restaurant twice since my first trip and he cannot stop raving about the beef yat gaw mein. While this restaurant is a tad bit pricey than the others in the neighborhood, the quality of their food is worth it. I think we may have a new favorite Chinese carry out! read more

Glad we tried this place since it's my new go-to spot! Their prices are great and the food is always hot. I've tried a few of their combination platter which come with fried rice and an egg rolls. These run about $8 bucks for lunch and $12-13 for dinner. Their food is not overly greasy and they offer vegan options as well. Definitely check it out if you need a quick dinner. read more

This is my second time ordering from here, and both times I ordered the chicken and broccoli platter and ever extra instructions, I included was always honored. I am from Jersey and living out here it has been hard to find good and consistent Chinese food, but this place is really close, and that it hard to say!! This place is 5 minutes from my house. This is my second visit here, both times were really good. The shrimp fried rice tasted clean; like the cook loves to cook. This place is always busy and I love being able to peek into the kitchen as my food is being prepared. The customer service is indirect yet professional - nothing to write home about. We were looking to try something different than our usual go-to Chinese place. The menu and prices looked similar, and the handful of reviews were all good. While the portion sizes and prices were both good, pretty much all of our food was pretty bland. The Szechuan beef was notably different from what you'd normally expect. Rather than strips of beef and vegetables, everything was very large and chunky. The sauce itself was a bit gritty and lacked any type of heat, so I ended up adding some sriracha to kick it up. My wife and I ordered the house special soup and the subgum wonton soup. Neither had descriptions, so we were curious as to what we'd actually get. It turns out that they're exactly the same soup, except the subgum wonton includes.... wontons. Other than an overpower broccoli flavor, due to the overly-liberal amount included, there were really no good, distinct flavors in these soups. While I'd normally suspect that it was just an off night if a dish or two had issues, everything had issues. Blandness doesn't make food bad, but it does make it fairly undesirable to give it another try. read more

The food is beyond delicious!!! Walked in and ordered Shrimp and broccoli and a small fried rice. Food was ready in 10 minutes as promised. I was a little skeptical at first because the fried rice looked very light in color than what I am use to. What the rice was lacking in color was trumped by the flavors. Good proportion of shrimp and veggies to rice. Every bite literally had shrimp in it. The food wasn't greasy or salty...absolutely perfect!!! If I could give this place, zero stars I would. This was the first and last time we ordered food from here. Such a waste of money. The food was bland and flavorless, no amount of sauce could save it. The insides of the spring rolls was cold and mushy. The pork egg rolls were lacking pork and just had these red specks that looked like bacon bits. So for some reason the Asian restaurant that was in the shopping center down the hill abruptly closed down and my wife and I were in search of another with great quality. It just so happened that China Dragon opened up soon after and we have yet to be disappointed. It is also helps that it is literally across the street from our home. Growing up in the city I have an affinity for "dirty yat", Yat Gaw Mein. Most of the Asian carry outs in the city were considered dirty but the food was always good. So when I saw Yat Gaw Mein on the menu I had to try it. Low and behold, China Dragon may have the best Yat Gaw Mein I've had in years! It's not "dirty", I mean the place is pretty clean. But the flavors are well developed, the boiled eggs are cooked perfectly and the sauce is delicious. I've ordered for us numerous times and have yet to order anything else, aside from the half and half which is perfect!
