I was recommended to East County Alignment by Discount Tire because my tires were wearing terribly. They said I needed an alignment so I set an appointment. I was expecting a shop with gas smell, grease on tables or other shop debris. Boy was I wrong. Not only is it extremely clean (bathroom included), they have a TV bigger than my personal one and also a Keurig machine. Anyways, I showed up for my appointment and was HAPPILY greeted by Nicole first, then Jake. I explained my tire wear, Jake made notes, then walked me over to the waiting room and hooked me up personally to their customer wi-fi. I needed the help. Thank You! Remember, I'm female and was ALWAYS told NEVER go to an automotive shop without a man present. My husband was working so I was forced to go in alone. I felt VERY comfortable with everyone there especially Jake, the manager. He kept me informed to exactly what was causing my tire wear and had a couple questions about the car. Once Jake came to understand I wasn't too car fluent, he asked to talk to my husband which I appreciated. He took time out on an obvious busy day to do that. I called him, Jake took over, explained the car tire wear issues in detail, then handed the phone back to me. Instantly my husband told me, "that's a good shop!" and was overly impressed by Jakes knowledge. I was recommended to Roger Daniels Alignment last time and felt extremely nervous the whole time. They tried selling me $1000 in repairs that East County Alignment one year later said could wait another 6-12 more months. Jake even explained how it may not be worth doing the big repairs anyhow because I might not see the return on my investment. I was selling my car next year. I can't believe this shop only got 3.5 stars?? THIS PLACE IS HANDS DOWN THE BEST "AUTOMOTIVE" SHOP ANYWHERE I'VE BEEN, NOT ONLY SAN DIEGO!!. I'm from Texas, have been to many shops along the way. I have a mechanic at home. I came to San Diego for the navy. Got here and was recommended to this place East County Alignment by a lot of my navy buddies. I've had a problem no one can pin point at home, not even my mechanic. Did some research, was reluctant at first based mainly on this site but d*#m was I suprised and happy I made it. Wiithin 15 minutes their mechanic Moses knew exactly what it was, torqed it down, aligned it and I was on my way. I contacted my mechanic at home to let him know, he was floored and couldn't believe it's finally done. BUT on my way out I noticed how big their shop was and can't believe how little reviews they had. I recommended they tell their customers about yelp. They said we can do what we want. This was my second trip to ECA. On this trip, I had an alignment and the original shocks replaced on my 1996 motorhome. When the new shocks came in from the manufacturer in Oregon, they were the wrong ones - no fault of ECA. Since I was leaving town for a few days, I asked if I could just leave the motorhome there until they received the new ones and the work was done - not a problem. Upon my return, I was told that the manufacturer couldn't get it right the second time either - even though they had the make, model and VIN for the motorhome. Needless to say, ECA and the manufacturer figured out the issue and everything worked out. This all happened, by the way, while I was gone. KUDOS to Jay and Jesus for being steadfast and getting the job done right - well done!! My motorhome has never driven better!! End of Dec. 2014 went in for an alignment on my Chrysler 300C. The work was done at a reasonable price and great turn around. I was told that there was an additional issue that was not an immediate safety concern, the "suspension control arms and ball joints" would need to be replaced so I brought the car in to have the work done. A couple of hours later I got a call from Anna and she informed me that on further checking the issue did not to be addressed now and could wait another 1 -2 years. the total cost would have been $435.00 (very reasonable). They could have done the work and I wouldn't have been any the wiser. Instead they said the work was not necessary to do, sent me on my way with no charges, even rechecked my alignment. Was recommended to these guys for cupping front tires. I heard they were the best. I did not have an appointment as requested so I waited patiently on an obviously busy day just to ask someone to at the very least walk out to my truck and evaluate what they thought the cupping may be caused from. I had been to 3 other "supposedly" great shops previously all having different opinions on what their determination of the cupping was. After a short wait Jake happily took the time just to help a customer that he had no idea was even a customer in the first place. I was advised to make an appointment anyways due to the unusual wear Jake noticed. He wanted a technician to professionally evaluate prior to any recommendations. Upon my appointment I was more than pleased but impressed with the extremely knowledgeable staff let alone Jake the Manager. read more

I've been to some other shops in the past and have never been satisfied. Nobody's been able to get my 38 foot coach to drive straight. I heard about this place from my uncle. He said, "These guys have been around forever and really know what their doing!" and boy do they. Excellent service and even a nice little waiting lounge. I don't yelp much but had to give them credit after reading a couple of their past bad reviews. That definitely wasn't the case with me. They deserve this one. Not only did they align my coach, I got an oil change at the same time. They do it all! This technician Ray even laid down like 20 or so floor mats to make sure my coach didn't get a spot on it. Thought the place was legit and Honest, Found out otherwise, just trying to rip you off for money, wont go back on their warranty's had to called BAR on them, no Respect, no customer service, place is a joke, was told by some people this place was it, but ITS NOT A RIP OFF SCAM SHOP, MAKE SURE YOU GET A INVOICE STATING EVERYTHING, ECA IS A JOKE , DON'T GO HERE !! I bought 4 new tires from discount tires and they broke my wheel stub, one of the employee of discount tires told me to go to east county alignment and brake to fix my car.I went to this shop and thought about my wheel allignment hoping that they can fix my wheel alignment but they end up doing this, i went back there almost 2 months to tell what they did to my car, but they didn't even check my car the lady and the guy who was the mechanic telling me stuff about my car just to get away what they did.long story short don't go to this shop your WASTING YOUR TIME AND MONEY....... read more

After an accident needing a body shop to repair door, fender and steering components I had a clunky sound in the front end and it pulled a bit to the right. The body shop claimed that it was a worn part. My regular shop was not so sure and sent me here. They put it on the lift and after a thorough check determined that the body shop had left a number of bolts on the subframe and the sway bar loose. Fast and acurate diagnosis. Fixed the clunk and alignment. Four stars for these guys, one star for the jerks at the body shop who screwed it up and dismissed my complaints. read more

Brought my Lexus in for a 60k service and alignment. Front office was very competent and polite. Technicians explained the problem with my air conditioning and gave me an estimate for repairs. I was able to bring in my own parts to be installed. Most shops try to force you to buy their's, but it is a good way to save money. Just make sure you get the right parts. They also found some legitimate problems on a 11 year old truck that I didn't catch myself. Very thorough crew read more
