imho for the food, it's kinda overpriced.....it's just OK not terrific- it usually is via delivery and the cheese is sliding off- kind of under-cooked I guess...The pizza varieties are good- the chicken parm the best...my kids love the pinwheels (pepperoni or chicken).......i LOVE the white slices....the actual 'food' entrees aren't fabulous.....just OK......but worth a try. There are better places in town for Italian IMO (Gino's or DiCocco's in Oceanside) but if you want something quick and convenient in Long Beach, it's good. I am only writing about the restaurant section and not about the "fast food" pizza section. Wife and I ate dinner last night. Menu changed and was limited. I think the restaurant is trying to be fancy - which it is not. Nothing on the menu concerning pizza, hero, calzone, etc. Wife and I shared an appetizer. It was a bbq chicken thing with guacamole on top. Guacamole used was not fresh. It was from a package. Those of you that know the neon green guacamole know what I am talking about. After we scrapped off the neon green guacamole, the taste of the appetizer was so so. So, although the restaurant tried to be upscale different, it failed miserably. Main course was "ok". I ordered the chicken parmesan that was bland. The chicken was tough. Wife's dish was also bland. OK restaurant. Pizza is good. If you want good Italian food better off going to Gino's. read more

We have been going to East End Pizza for almost a decade, every since my wife became hooked on their Eggplant Rolatini while pregnant with our second child. The food is consistently good, with decent service and moderate prices. During August 2014, we twice visited this restaurant. My father enjoyed the simple spaghetti and meatballs, mentioning the sauce was quite good. I enjoyed the mussels as an appetizer and the Veal Sorrento entree. Both were tasty. My kids actually finished their ravioli, which is uncommon, so I guess they liked them. My wife had Eggplant Rolatini twice, as usual! Occasionally there is difficulty securing a convenient parking spot close to the door because of the takeout service or the surrounding businesses. I find it best to drop off my passengers in front and drive up the block to find a parking spot in front of the neighboring houses. Problem solved. read more

We ordered chicken parmesan, a cheese slice and garlic knots. The sauce that came with the garlic knots was AMAZING!! We even asked for extra to take home... Placed an order for delivery on a Friday night and, knowing that pizza places can be busy on this night, was prepared for a bit of a delay. In fact, I was told it would take 45 minutes to an hour to receive our order. That said, it took over an hour and a half to receive our food. When I called after an hour and fifteen minutes to find out what was going on I was told it was out for delivery-no other information, no explanation, no apology. I've had 4 parties at my co-op in Long Beach and East End catered all of them. The food was great with raves from all guests every time. Food was delivered hot, on time , and professionally set up. Something has changed......since they re-did the place I haven't liked their pizza. It seems like they have started using cheaper ingredients or something. There is absolutely no flavor in their red sauce. If you order your pizza well done because you like crispy, don't do it here....it will be a chewy gross slab of dough. Food is always good! Love the rigatoni a la vodka and all the speciality slices. However, recently they increased their prices. It seems since the remodel they have departed from pizzeria prices to upscale Italian restaurant prices. Even the apps are insanely overpriced! As a morbidly obese man I feel I am well qualified to review East End Pizza. Regular Pizza is excellent and reminds me of Gloria Pizza of Flushing, a landmark in the 60's to 90's. Chicken Parmesan is good and they don't hold out on the chicken. Baked Ziti w. ricotta is also great. Only negative is their tomato sauce is a little too watery and their meatballs are overspiced. Deliveries have always been in the 45 minute range. You won't find Nirvana, but on a rainy night you'll be glad they're there. read more

I had a pie here awhile back and had one delivered. It was similar to something you find at Costco or a mall. A huge disappointment. Crust was uninteresting compressed white bread, sauce was ok, but sits between 2 less than mediocre components-cruddy crust and blah toppings. Sweet Italian sausage was ho-hum and the mushrooms tasted like they came from a can. What happened? This used to be good. Hopefully they get thwir act together-Dominoes is giving this place some serious competition. read more

This review is about the service only, because I never actually had my order taken...I walked in and went to look at a long counter to see all the different kinds of slices they have. A woman had her order taken there in front of me, but nobody said a word to me. i looked, I motioned to a guy behind the counter, I waited 3 or 4 minutes, but nothing. Then I noticed a group of teenagers walk up to the cash register and get their order taken immediately. So I walked over there, and waited at least 5 minutes while all the teens had their order taken. Finally, one of the guys at the counter said hello, and I asked if they had any stuffed pizza slices. He said he'd look in the back, and when he came back he said they didn't have any. I said that was ok, and started to tell him what I wanted, but he interrupted me and said "just give me a minute". So the guy walked away, and then came back. He took a slice of something from the counter and just looked around, right past me. I have no idea what he was doing. He just stood there, pre-occupied, and as I was about to say something to him, he walked away again. Then I noticed a woman getting served back in the area where I was originally, but couldn't get someone to take my order. After what was by then at least 12 minutes, I gave up and walked out. The place wasn't even that busy and there was at least 4 people behind the counter, but I couldn't get served and they just completely wasted my time. I won't be going back there again. read more

Is zero stars an option? East End Pizza has by far the worst customer service I have ever encountered in the restaurant business. Not only do they charge nearly $5 for a buffalo chicken slice, but when it was delivered, it was nothing but a plain cheese slice with 8 pieces of chicken on top. When I called to complain, I had to speak with three different rude people who offered me no recourse to rectify their mess up. I was told that, that is how their spicy chicken slice is, even though I told them I order a spicy chicken slice once per week and have never seen one like this before. I was even called "hun" by the manager and was told they are too busy to re-send a delivery driver out to send a new slice. The unprofessionalism was astounding and we will never order from East End again-DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS PLACE- THE PEOPLE ARE RUDE AND IT IS INCREDIBLY OVERPRICED. GINOS HERE WE COME! read more
