Sauce black pepper fragrant and a bit salty and sweet House Chow Mein Noodles were excellent with a combo of beef, shrimp, cha siu pork, chicken and all the veggies. Nice wok hei flavor here! Bean sprouts were right texture not overcooked Veggie dish was sort of like a bok choy. Server recommended it and said it was grown on their property! Bamboo Gardens is hands down the best Chinese restaurant in the Oakdale area. Service is top notch. Tommy is so welcoming and often has delicious recommendations, though we do have our favorites. Had dinner here on our way home. The restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived but quite a few more parties arrived shortly after us. You could tell people liked this place and many regulars were in picking up to go orders. The staff called them by name when they walked in. We were given open seating. We took a seat and browsed the menu. The server came over right away and got us some drinks. I ordered a cup of egg flour soup and it was delicious. We opted in to getting dinner combo plates. They were LARGE portions for a great price. Their orange chicken was one of the best I've have had in a while. The fried rice was flavorful but slightly on the salty side. Stopped by for a latish lunch - our server was so friendly and had a great sense of humor, he made a due note of our vegan order and kept up the lively chatter with us and other customers as we waited for our food to arrive in the cozy dining area. I also ordered a recommended secret menu dish called Singapore rice noodle dish. It has beef, chicken, shrimp, pork, eggs, really thin noodles, crispy vegetables. It was absolutely delicious and after I tasted it, I couldn't go back to anything else I ordered. It's not on the menu. You have to ask for it. I'm posting pictures. I found it because someone else posted a picture of it and I went to the restaurant just for this dish and I showed him the picture and he told me what it was. We are Chinese, and we were coming down from Yosemite. I really love their egg flower soup. It's great on a cold day or along side any meal. They also have really good appetizers. I have tried a few of their entrees. I have no doubt all are good but have personally had garlic chicken, orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, beef and broccoli, and Buddha vegetables. You will not be disappointed.
