East River 9 is a nice, outdoorsy establishment that offers Pickleball and Golf. For our visit, we opted for the Pickleball experience, which may require a reservation to ensure that you have an opportunity to play depending on the time of day and weather. From my friend's prior experience (with East River 9 being booked and busy) she made a two hour reservation in advance for our Pickleball session. Unfortunately, we came at time when it was prime time heat time (at least it sure did feel like it) on a Saturday (which I definitely wouldn't recommend), however, we still had a grand time. As it pertains to cost, the two hour session was about $85, which was approximately $21 (if you have four people) per person. One thing to note is that East River 9 also allows for you to rent paddles and balls for about $7, in the event that you don't own paddles or balls. The court is fairly nice and there is a covered seating area with fans that is close to the court. Additionally, they have water coolers strategically placed outside. There is also a restaurant a few steps away from the court (disclaimer, I didn't have the opportunity to try the food here). To sum it all up, a goodT, active time was had here!

The three stars are for the venue itself. It's lovely. It's right on the bayou, the views are nice, the golf course, pickleball courts, and ping pong table are nice. The outdoor seating with large tv, right on the bayou makes a good chill setting. The restaurant food, however, is not great. It's basic options but the food itself is mediocre. We for the nachos and at first they came out with no meat, which is in the description so we had to send that back. The queso on it is not great. The quesadilla was just ok. Our waiter was great and nice. Food came out fast but it just wasn't worth the price. I'd go there for drinks and to relax, but don't go for the food.

It's great Par 3 course! I wish a cart girl would come around. Nearest cart location is on hole 7. Food is also good and the vibes are great.

Tried this spot for the first time on a Sunday. It's very spacious inside with amazing views or downtown. This location offers a gold course available for booking. There is also both indoor and outdoor seating available. I ordered the shrimp Po boy. It didn't not come with the corn relish topping as pictured so I had to ask my waiter to bring it. That was a bummer that it was left off. Besides that factor, the poboy was very flavorful

Great get a way for lunch. A quick 9 hole walking course. It's takes about an 1.5 hours. The restaurant is nice. Yo try the fish tacos. The margarita is awesome

Perfect combo of Pickleball and food. This facility has several outdoor pickleball courts, a golf course and a gift shop. The staff is friendly and it's a nice place to get a few games in of whatever you like to play and then wrap the day up with good food and drinks. The on-site restaurant has both an indoor and outdoor seating area and superb food. The service was so so, but we didn't have a large group, so perhaps that slowed things down more than usual. Besides that no complaints and I would recommend reserving a court for a round of pickleball and some food.

I came here to play pickle ball with my family and friends, and it was such a great time. There are several courts that you can reserve ahead of time and you can bring your own balls and paddles or rent them if you don't have any. They have lights you can play at night or during the day. The skyline is Houston is so gorgeous to watch as you play pickle ball. It's nice that they have a restaurant at the golf course as well for drinks and food. I had a great time playing pickle ball here and while I haven't played golf, I'm sure it would also be a great time.

Pickleball is America's newest pastime and I'm on the train baby, choo choo. I've been playing since last summer and really enjoyed it, but my friends weren't super interested YET but now they're starting to come around. You'd be surprised but I'm actually very competitive and although I'm not a pro, it's a fun recreational sport I'm decent at! I like the sport of pickle. East River 9 is beeeeautiful. Like stunnin'. I don't play golf but if I did I feel like this would be the place? It's a 9 hole course. Ummmmmmm-- based on my limited knowledge that's shorter than a regular course. So fun, easy, quick time. That's good, efficient! Bonus there is a lot of people here. Variations of people. Major eye candy. We booked online for a 7pm court but got there and supposedly the computers were being weird idk, but luckily we were able to get a court still. You go into the Pro Shop, btw. It's $40 for an hour of play. If you're playing doubles that's an easy $10/pp. With Houston's limited courts *in the loop* it seems like that's the best ima get. Some parks are converting their tennis courts but Houston feels like it's behind. I digress, this was really fun. Great little sports action. Everyone around us was lovely and when the next group of people were ready to use the court we gathered our things and left them to it. Honor system I guess There's a restaurant also at East River. Very smart move on their part. Made for good post-game beers, didn't try any food. 4/5 just because there's still seems to be kinks in their booking system and it's not super clear where you're supposed to go check in once arriving etc.

Food is EXSPENSIVE, not sure who they cater too. Maybe ripping off out of towners. Many other restaurants on the Eastside are affordable.

From the moment we interacted with her, she was kind, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure we had an amazing experience. During our first visit, we experienced an issue due to a system error. Instead of brushing it off, Layla immediately stepped in, helped resolve the situation, and provided me with all the information I needed to receive a refund. She turned what could have been a frustrating experience into a positive one with her professionalism, patience, and genuine care. In fact, Layla's exceptional customer service is the reason we came back the very next weekend. Employees like her are hard to find, and she truly made us feel valued as guests. While I thought the food was a bit mediocre and some of the other employees weren't as friendly or engaging, Layla completely changed the overall experience. Her positive attitude, professionalism, and dedication to outstanding customer service deserve to be recognized. Thank you, Layla, for going above and beyond. We loved all the challenging holes. The decor was colorful. The food was amazing! I loved the Texas Tailpipes, Korean BBQ Bao Buns, and Atlanta Hot Sandwich. I will say the table reservation was interesting. They have a lot of tables labeled reserved but no one is sitting there. I tried to ask a waitress about my table and said you have to reserve one and ran away. She didn't even let me finish my sentence. I asked another waitress and she listened to me and found my reservation and apologized for the other waitress' behavior. The manager did come by to give us some great service so we ended the night on a good note.

This summer…read morehas been brutally hot and I could not imagine playing putt putt golf outdoors, and I'm happy to know that the Puttery is a place where you can escape the heat and enjoy some great food and drinks. The building is quite large and parking is a little tricky. I drove through the main parking lot and exited behind the building to find a large paid parking lot that the Puttery will validate for you. The decor is classy and thoughtful and the employee at the register was friendly and informative. My party decided to eat dinner before golfing and the waitress was upbeat and seated us promptly. The food and drinks were quite delicious! The spicy tuna crispy rice had nicely seasoned tuna and paired perfectly with the crispy rice. The rice itself was a tad too sweet for my liking. The brisket jalapeño spring rolls were different and I enjoyed the combination of brisket and the smooth cream cheese. The elote style corn ribs were nicely presented and I've never had corn ribs elote style before. The pizza was pretty good but I wish the toppings were more plentiful. The short rib was tender and flavorful and I liked the pairing with the peppery arugula. The courses were super thoughtfully planned out and I appreciated the different themes in each section. The attention to detail was very obvious and I enjoyed going through the courses. My diagnosis: wonderful destination for indoor putt putt and yummy food.

Due to traffic we ended up arriving closer to 6:30 pm but it was no problem. Because it was a Tuesday, the crowds were light. I bet it can get crowded on the weekends because it's such a cool place. We got our wrist bands and proceeded upstairs where there is a lot of restaurant seating and a bar. We decided to eat before playing and that ended up being a great decision. The food and drink were quite good! I had a Sam Adams IPA draft - perfect! The elote corn ribs, spring rolls, tuna with crispy rice, and short rib pizza were all excellent! The waitress recommended the elote corn and short rib pizza so we went with those plus a few other options. Temperature and texture and flavor of all the food items were on point. Now on to mini golf. The place has two sets of 9 hole areas. The holes get progressively harder. You keep score via an iPad at each hole. Overall, the most impressive part was the decor. It's obvious they spent a lot of money on the decor (and the place is just huge) and they've maintained the place quite well so far. Now you're probably thinking "fun place off Washington? I bet parking sucks." There is actually a huge parking just north of the Puttery building and the parking is validated by Puttery! It's like a dream come true. :) If you're looking for a fun date place or a group hang out, check this place out!
