Tried this place on our way home from ATL. Wasn't right off the exit compared to a few that were. However, I'm glad I went the extra mile to try. I love crab rangoon and am normally pretty picky and it was very good. We also tried the chicken lo mein and the pork wontons. Portions were good and the pricing wasn't bad. The fried rice isn't just white rice with soy sauce - that says A LOT! Lol. We ordered two meals, spare ribs and sweet and sour chicken, both with shrimp fried rice. Both meals were good portion sizes, cooked well and tasted well. The egg rolls that came with the meals were bigger than most places. The only thing that was subpar, dear I say gross to me, was the seafood soup. Don't know why we even ordered it and never will again. Listen when I tell you this is probably the best Chinese food in Georgia state all together lol I'm from NY so it's hard to find Chinese food that taste as good as ours. I've had family and friends all agree with me after doubting this place. Teriyaki chicken so good it taste smoked. Fried chicken wings slappppp. People fried rice be off theirs is delicious. Shrimp & broccoli beef & broccoli delicious. I haven't had one bad meal. The service is fine by me they are always quick and straight to the point. We've come here a few times after playing golf down the street. We found this restaurant due to it's superb reviews on Yelp so we had to try it. Both times, I've found the food just ok. The prices for Dinner Combinations are very good for the portion size. I would consider the food mediocre because the meat is very rubbery. We've had the Chicken Lo Mein, Mongolian Chicken, Fried Rice, and Pepper Steak with Onions. After giving it a few tries, I think I might try going elsewhere. Will everyone think the food here deserves 5 stars? No. But if you've experienced New York style Chinese food and are feeling nostalgic, like I often am, then this place will take you back. They serve authentic NY style Chinese food, down to the menu, decor, and even lunch specials/combinations. Disgusting. When I entered the restuarant, it was empty. I should have taken that as a hint, but I decided to order anyway. I ordered sesame chicken & shrimp fried rice. I pulled the first strand of hair out of my mouth & thought "Ok...". After I pulled the THIRD strand of hair out of my mouth, that came from the shrimp fried rice, I took my food to the front counter & asked for a refund. Three employees(not one hair net between them)then proceeded to contest my complaint with "I don't see anything", refusing to refund my money, so I left. I plan to file a complaint with the Gwinnett Co Health dept. I'll never eat there again, & I'll make it a mission to tell everyone I can reach not to waste their money there either. Overall, this would be a great place for a quick affordable lunch. I wouldn't recommend paying the higher dinner prices due to the quality of the food. Also, the place is called China Taste, not Eastern China Taste. If that helps. I ordered the teriyaki lunch special with an egg roll. The woman taking my order was extremely helpful and pleasant. My food came out quickly and very hot. The rice was nothing special at all, very bland. The chicken was okay, no fatty pieces but also, very bland. It was cooked with onions (which I picked out) but still lacked flavor/spice. The egg roll was just upsetting. Yes, it is huge when compared to other places, but it's filled with pink pork and no flavor vegetables. The decor is very modern with a flat screen. The free condiments (ketchup, water, salt/pepper) added a nice touch plus the restroom was well kept. I was a could give higher than three stars because the service was great and it was an inviting place, but the food quality was too low for me. If you're just starting off trying American-Chinese food this is a great place, if not, please choose elsewhere. This place lacks spice/flavor. I probably will not be back. read more

This food is nasty!!!! The egg foo young was burned and cooked with old shrimp. there was a big black hair cooked in my food, and my daughter broke a tooth on the chicken and the egg rolls were old. I wound give it 1/10 of a zero if I could read more

We ordered hot and sour and wonton soup, combination chicken brocolli and a small sesame chicken to-go. The hot and sour soup was fantastic (but cold), however when warmed up it was pretty delicious!!! Wonton soup was average and the chicken was a bit soft to my liking (slimey? ) for the dish. My major disappointment was with the sesame chicken. Not only were the pieces extremely small (basically sweet fried dough bits with very little chicken) but it was hard and congealed. Personally, I don't think I would eat another main dish here but would get the hot and sour soup and fried rice again. The price? It is a great price for the AMOUNT of food you receive---$19 with tax, but I wish I would have enjoyed the quality of the main entrees more :/ Below average in my opinion... read more

I am a regular here and the staff pretty much knows me as they greet me by name whenever I walk in. I keep going to this place because the taste of the food is amazing. Other Chinese restaurants are either okay, or tasteless. Not this place! The fried rice is rich with smoky flavor that knocks out others bland fried rice. They have an abundant lunch menu. Just tried this for the first time 9/3/22. This is the best Chinese food I've had since moving to Georgia from NY. Truly north east style Chinese! The women was super kind and friendly which I appreciate since we came to have a sit down with our daughter. Clean and delicious soo glad I found this place!! This is our favorite take out Chinese place. The portions are a good size and the price is reasonable. Once you order on the phone the food usually ready in less than 10 minutes! Our usual order is general tso's chicken and Kung pao beef. The kung pao beef could use more beef (usually a ton of onions and green onions although still delicious) We are never disappointed with the service or the food. read more

Good amount of food for the price. The dining area was small, 2 booths and a couple tables, and it was clean. The staff was nice and let you customize your order. If dining in they have a filtered water machine available for free or soda is an option on the special, no refills. We dined in and everything came in plastic take - home containers which is good because it is a lot of food. I asked for extra spicy for my hunan chicken and they gave it to me. My eyes were watering a little :-). It was better than I have had at a couple other places. I also got the egg fried rice (they also offer chicken and pork) and it comes with sprouts which I like. Also the egg drop soup was good, not too salty but not bland, and a good amount of egg. It is garnished with some green onion. Good tasting and flavorful.
