Returned to 3rd & Ferry again, this time for their Sunday Brunch. Just love the ambiance here and have had some really good meals as well. We were seated promptly but waited about 10 minutes for our waitress to appear. We gave her our drink order and my wife ordered a half dozen oysters. The waitress brought back our drinks and promptly spilled mine on the table in front of me. She apologized and walked away, returning a few minutes later and laid some paper towels on the table. She didn't try to wipe up the spill or ask me how I was doing. She just walked away. Then we sat and nursed our drinks because it took about 10 to 15 minutes for the oysters to arrive. I'm not sure why it would take that long to prepare 6 raw oysters. The waitress then came back to take our food order. I ordered lobster bisque as an appetizer and we both ordered the pan-seared Scallops. The bisque was absolutely delicious, but as I was about halfway through, the runner brought our Scallops. I could not believe that they couldn't wait until I finished my bisque!! And to top it all off, the Scallops were undercooked and barely seared at all. If the chef had cooked them throughly, I would have had time to finish my soup. However the sides were very good, delicious squash purée and green beans w/bacon lardons. I went here for a birthday lunch with some girlfriends. I had the lobster roll and market fries. I enjoyed the dish-I wish the lobster itself had more butter and seasoning. I've been told about Third and Ferry for several years but was unwilling to go because of travel time and parking. Well, we made it there to find paid parking conveniently across the street in a parking garage. You will need reservations because this is a favored seafood spot by locals. Interior was nicely set up with kitchen in front and an upstairs loft wrapping around the perimeter. We had a special allergy concern with one of our guests and the hostess could not be more accommodating, switching menu items to satisfy our guest was quickly done! Wait staff was excellent as well. I had oysters Rockefeller to start and the seafood sampler, both were very, very good. Our whole table loved their meals and we will be back! One weak spot was that the environment was welcoming, but it was also on the loud side. read more

I started with a cup of New England clam chowder--$8 for a bowl containing just three small clams, an overload of chopped potatoes, and an unpleasant gritty sandiness that shouldn't exist in any chowder, let alone one at that price. My fish tacos were completely bland and forgettable, paired with sad fragments of French fries that looked like the bottom of the fryer basket. Frankly, this dish should never have left the kitchen. My friend ordered the crab cake sliders, which came with the same unimpressive fries. The "crab" cakes tasted overwhelmingly like filler and breading, with little evidence of actual crab. Service was slow and inattentive throughout, adding to the overall frustration. To make matters worse, the chairs are extremely uncomfortable--something other reviewers have already pointed out. This visit was disappointing from start to finish. Until significant improvements are made, it's time to take a break from this restaurant. read more

Frequent patrons who had a negative Sunday lunch dining experience. Two guests. Ordered a burger w/o cheese and it appeared with cheese. No one ever came by to offer ketchup. Ordered a cup of lobster bisque and the cup was half empty. Ordered broiled salmon with wasabi and salmon appeared with bearnaise. Pint of beer was flat. The whole experience was unacceptable and while the manager did apologize, it really did not make much of a difference. 3rd & Ferry is not cheap by any means and when dining out, my family and I expect to receive what we order--especially when spending $80-$100 for a meal. The food is amazing loved everything we tried. My boyfriend took me there for Mother's day. He had the fish and crab fries, I had the paella with a lobster tail. We started off with the sirloin tips app, OMG so good, so much flavor and the meat was so tender. We had to save some for the kids and it was hard to do. Warm potato rolls fresh baked ...soft and pillowy. I had a cocktail...strawberry infused gin with strawberry puree...dangerously good. Didn't taste like it had alcohol so I felt like I could drink several glasses but I didn't. Lol. His fish and crab fries were plentiful, large haddock filled perfectly fried to a golden crisp and the crab fries were not just seasoned fried but topped with lump crab meat! The paella was so aromatic from the saffron. The portion was huge but it was so full of flavor and seafood I ate half (had to save room for dessert) without realizing it. Paid extra for the lobster tail but it had tiny scallops, med sized shrimp, mussels , clams and chorizo atop the saffron rice and swimming in this delicious broth that had a little kick to it. For dessert I had creme brulee, standard fare...crisp sugar top with the creamy custard goodness. Everyone of the staff was friendly even though super busy, our server was great, attentive while maintaining multiple tables and friendly. All in all definitely worth the trip and hopefully many returns, there are more things I'd like to try on their menu. read more

We actually just left there and I was more disappointed in the waitress. I don't know if she didn't care or she needed more training, but since we are generous people, we still gave her a 30% tip. We both ordered the fish and chips. The fish was very good, but their marketplace fries were terrible too salty .. I also think their lunch menu needs to have something different. It was very disappointing last Saturday night as we were celebrating my wife's birthday with the family all eight of us. Of the eight seated at the table, I was the only one who felt I didn't get my money's worth. I ordered New England clam chowder, oysters, and a lobster roll. The oysters were fresh and tasty the New England Clam chowder had three small clams with a lot of cubed potatoes and the lobster roll bun was burnt with very little lobster (nowhere near Hotel Bethlehem's lobster roll). I have to say... I've never freakin tried tuna tartare at THIS level. It was unforgettable. Notes of toasted sesame, scallion, sweet peppers OMG. Ceviche is mahi mahi perfectly acidic and seasoned with scallion red pepper that is still crisp with sweetness that compliments the acidity perfectly. Every single piece of fish was fresh. I was stupidly excited that they had a ceviche option as it's super hard to find around where I live. Our server was Amy and if I didn't know any better I would think she was an owner. Her advice was precise and she knew exactly how to appease our pallets. She was also spot on about anything on the menu. It was clear she is an exceptional server. The vibe was what I always want in the spring time- outdoor patio seating, umbrellas, crafted cocktails and homemade everything. With its charming location right on the corner where you can people watch (or not) to its cozy woodsy interior where I'm sure in the winter time is a romantic yet casual experience. It was basically a "vegetable soup" with some "clam" in it. The shrimp was good.... It's what's it should be!! Some of the oysters were excellent and some were terrible. Not to be a ass but when I order oysters I want the oyster cleaned and disconnected!!! Over all......... Go here with friends, other then that please avoid it!! Good friend brought me here for birthday lunch six months ago. New England Clam Chowder contained clams still in their shell and was pretty good. Lobster Roll came with shoestring fries and unique tasting cole slaw. Friend loved that Lobster Bisque contained pieces of lobster in it. She also tried calamari. Friend ordered Fish & Chips from restaurant week menu, which contained large piece haddock breaded and fried. Pecan Pie with chocolate sauce was pretty good. Although I've lived in Easton all my life I've never made it to 3rd & Ferry for a meal! While in town visiting family we decided to make our way here for lunch. Although it was Black Friday and we didn't have a reservation the staff still accommodated us at a table with no hesitation. Everything on the menu sounded absolutely incredible, and I'll obviously need to come back to try out more options. My husband and I both started off with a Bloody Mary. He got the Bloody Mary that included a crab cake and other yummy items, I went with the regular Bloody Mary and was just as pleased! The flavor of the Bloody Mary mix was incredibly delicious & better than most others I've ever had. For our meals I got the fish tacos, my husband had the lobster roll, and my mom ordered a cup of the lobster bisque. We all continued to rave about the meals the entire time we ate. The seafood was fresh and you would think it was caught right out back based on the taste. It's not often you're getting a quality lobster roll outside of Maine. We really enjoyed our table upstairs & the restaurant atmosphere was quiet and easy to enjoy a nice meal. There is seating downstairs, as well as more in a basement and even more spots at the bar.
