I was in the area and realized this bagel spot was nearby! I've heard good things about it in the past, so I decided to stop in. It was around 11am on a Saturday and it was busyyyyy inside. There was a pretty long line in front of me, but I was shocked at how quickly I got through. They had a pretty large staff considering the space, and definitely had a system down pat. I ordered the lox sandwich, and by the time I made it through the line and paid, my order was in my hands! It was the bagel sandwich served with a pickle and bagel chips on the side. Stopped into Eastside Bagel this morning and got the Lox sandwich. It was my first time here and all I can say is WOW! The bagels are fresh, the lox was fresh-- absolutely delicious. There's so many different kinds of bagels to choose from, which gives everyone an option! The ambiance is small and cute, with booths and tables to sit at to enjoy your food. There's nowhere else I'd think to go to get fresh bagels other than Eastside Bagel! I used to stop in all the time when I worked in Harper Woods and still make it a point for a Saturday morning breakfast run! They have SO many delicious flavors, you seriously can't go wrong but best to get there early as it can get very busy! The staff is friendly and serves quickly while preparing everything fresh. I absolutely love their breakfast bagel sandwiches- pictured is the Canadian Bacon, Egg White & Cheese Bagel with Swiss on a spinach Asiago bagel... SO delicious On my last visit they were offering a free bagel with cream cheese to educators for back-to-school so I tried the cinnamon sugar- toasted with regular cream cheese. A sweet, creamy delight! The only thing I didn't love was the cinnamon roll. If you like straight cream cheese, you will like this. The dough wasn't that soft and the 'frosting' had a goo-like consistency which didn't melt like icing when I put it in the microwave, but it's a bagel place. Everything about this place is outstanding! They have homemade cream cheese with compliments their bagels perfectly. They recently added a new French toast cream cheese which is to die for!! Every time I've been there, I see the two younger sons and their father each time. Very friendly, extremely helpful and cracking jokes and smiles all the time. I have been eating their bagels since bagel day in elementary school. The cinnamon sugar bagel will FOREVER be my favorite bagel ever. They have a very wide variety of bagels, cream cheese flavors, breakfast bagel sandwiches and regular bagel sandwiches. Drink options available too. The service is quick, it seems they are always busy but I ordered online. A cool thing I liked was you have the option on their website to pay through cash app. It will exit the site for a second and connect to your cash app once you hit pay it automatically takes out what it needs and all you do is walk in and pick up at the time it says. It gives like a small coffee shop vibes there was a few seats and tables inside and maybe like 3 tables and some benches outside. As soon as you popped open the trays, you could smell how fresh everything was and the bagels are pretty perfect, even untoasted. Great local bagel shop in the shores. They have amazing bagels. The bagel, egg cheese and sausage sandwiches are so delicious I had it on a feta bagel just incredible. I've also had their fresh baked cookies, because when they are right there on the counter they look oh so tempting and I can say they are even more tasty than they look. If it's your first time and get intimidated by the long line, don't be! they get you in and out in no time. Love this place and I go often. read more

I loooove their bagels. Absolutely go early if you don't want them to be sold out - it's worth it. The spinach artichoke was my most recent favorite specialty one, but I also enjoy the seasonal ones (especially fall, not surprisingly). The line is really fast, so be prepared to give your order asap so you don't hold others up - it looks long but they're super speedy even during a rush. The coffee is also pretty good, which imo is not a given for a bagel shop - I had a lovely latte last time. I do wish they were open later though, although I understand it's a morning only thing - even extending the hours til 3 would make it easier to get there during the work day. Updating my review after 6 years! Recently we bought a house in SCS. I'd be lying if I said the location to our house and Eastside Bagel wasn't a contributing factor in the house hunting search! I go here about once or twice a week. My go-to is still a sesame bagel toasted with Michigan cherry almond cream cheese (Try it! I promise you'll love it!) Although I do sometimes step out of my comfort zone and switch it up with a spinach and feta bagel or even parmesan. My other favorite cream cheese is feta and vegetable. Everything is fresh and so flavorful! I truly cannot think of one bad item I've ever had here. The breakfast sandwiches are amazing. If you have the extra few minutes I highly recommend the egg, bacon, and cheese. It will fill you up all day! Their lunch sandwiches are also amazing. My boyfriend loves the pizza bagel or the club sandwich. I love the chicken salad sandwich. Sandwiches come with bagel chips, which I recommend saving some and adding hummus. Oh? And the breakfast cookies at the counter?? I could eat one every day and be a happy woman! Employees here are the best. Always so kind and helpful. It does get busy on the weekends. I really enjoy a good bagel - yet they seem so hard to come by! Mediocre bagels are a plenty, but a good, hardy bagel is tough to find. Eastside Bagel mixes a variety of flavors (jalapeño cheese, etc) with the classics (plain, sesame seed, onion, etc.) The staff is friendly, place is clean and is easy to get in and out of. I recommend parking in the back and entering that way, far easier and closer than the front entrance. Overall, a great bagel and worth a drive. read more
