The food was very good. I ordered beef salad and pad Thai Chicken to go. The salad was flavorful and had a nice tangy dressing. The Pad Thai chicken was excellent. The portion was huge. It fed three people. The location of the restaurant is in the industrial area. It has a small parking lot. The restaurant has six tables. The decorations are minimal. It's not a fancy restaurant. I want to love this place but there are some issues with their spice scale. I ordered yellow curry, spice level 4/10. The fire that came out of that curry says either they think it's a 4/5 or their 10 is literal lava. That being said, the actual flavor of the curry was quite good. What earned this spot a 2* is the Pad Thai was the most rubbery taste-less wad of dried noodles I have ever attempted to get down. If you can't make a good Pad Thai then what even is the point? I ordered for pickup do I can't comment on their service. I'm willing to give this place another shot (and will update my review when I do) just because they are so close to me. But I'll have to try it as a dine-in experience so that if the Pad Thai is that bad again at least I can send it back and get it taken off the check. read more

Truly a hidden gem in San Diego Chula Vista. Loved the pad thai, the noodles were super tasty and balanced sweet and tangy. The crispy pork larva was our favorite with the papaya salad. Did everything spicy level 7 and it was yummy and they had fish sauce and chili's, sambal, and chili flakes on the side for more spice. Next time I will have to try their drinks. Great wings that are juicy and soft on the inside. I did find the breading to be a bit too thick and hard for my preference. Similarly, I got the spicy basil and thought the overall flavor was good. However, it is trying to combine the umami from some different meats, which ended up with it being sort of unfocused. I also found the pork to be too chewy. This is a more subjective review. Legit good. It's in a weird place, kind of an industrial strip mall on the west side of Chula. But the food was great and the folks and service were excellent. Not a great first date place ambiance wise but this is somewhere you will go on the reg if you are local. I forgot what I ordered but it was quite a lot. The chicken wings were small in size (I don't mind this), but the zab flavoring reminded me of takis or hot cheetos with lime. Besides pad thai, we also ordered the tom yum soup, fried calamari, and som tum (thai version). All of the dishes had a spice level of 3 which was a decent amount as it wasn't TOO spicy.
