This is my go to whenever I'm around national city. I highly recommend trying their food out! I love the coconut shrimp as well. They are nice and welcoming. This is located in Market on 8th.

    High Blood Pressure

Highly recommend this place! The High Blood Pressure with fried rice was so good flavorful, satisfying, and definitely worth trying. The portion was great and everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned. The Service are friendly too, I'll for sure be coming back again!

I like the menu at Ping Yang! It's interesting that they have four different gyoza options, and gyoza is not a standard Thai appetizer. When I went here, I was in between the tamarind chicken wings and garlic chicken wings, but I went with garlic because I am a garlic fiend. The wings were very crispy and I liked the crispy garlic. The garlic was more of a topping than the flavor of the wing, so that would be ideal if the wings had more garlic flavor to it also. I was conflicted on if I wanted a rice dish or a noodle dish, so I went with class pad thai. The flavor was there, but it was very oily and I feel like random things were added in. The photo (when ordering off the screen) looked like standard pad thai (noodles, scrambled eggs, green onions, peanuts, bean sprouts) but mine had pieces of broccoli and lettuce. I preferred the chicken wings over the pad Thai. My favorite thing was actually the Thai tea with lychee juice! It had big, fresh pieces of lychee. I wanted to order another one. This was a unique beverage and it was super refreshing! The only other time I had a Thai tea/lychee drink was in NYC. They also have Thai green tea, which is another hit, but I didn't try it. The food came out within 10-15 minutes, which was not too bad. The main issue I had was that I asked for a to-go container and bag for my leftovers. My sister had purchased an extra order of garlic wings for her daughter, then also asked for a to-go bag. The worker said, "I already gave her a bag" (referring to me). It was a tiny bag, which likely would not have fit all of our food!

41 E 8th St, National City, CA 91950 Customer Service plus. Friendly, helpful, explained the ingredients in each of our selections to make sure were not allergic to anything (we're not). Did I mention she had a cheerful personality? Ordered food, given a device that buzzed when our food was ready. Our food was so fresh, hot off the grill. She provided extra spice and chilies, sauce to increase the heat. Excellent quality. The Tom Kha soup had a slightly different taste than we are use to, but not a bad variation. Wife got the fried rice with shrimp, I got the Pad Thai with chicken. The 3 items were very filling. The open venue with long tables, couches, etc for seating and large rollup windows provided the indoor/outdoor environment. Very enjoyable meal.

Located inside the 8th Street Market. We received very kind service and they have great options on the menu. We ordered the garlic wings, tamarind wings and drunken noodles. The tamarind wings had an amazing flavor-you can choose your spice level. The garlic wings were crispy and good. The drunken noodles were ok. I will try other dishes on a future visit. The pomegranate iced tea was really good.

Ping Yang Thai is a little spot at Market on 8th. They have a touchpad where you can order if you'd like, but the staff are very friendly and ready to help. After we ordered, she made sure to verify if there were any food allergies, which was very nice. Our food came out after about ten minutes, which was nice. And we found some space to sit in the large communal area. I got the pad Thai with soft tofu. It was good, and was a really good portion size too! I had some leftover that ended up being my dinner later. My husband ordered the fried rice with crispy chicken, and he really liked it. The rice came in a large to go box too, so he was very happy with the portion! We also both got a Thai tea with coconut milk and crystal boba. I will probably try the other milk substitute they have (can't remember which one it is) next time. But overall, it was really nice! Great spot for lunch.

Second time ordering Pad Kra Pow because I loved it the first time but this time? Disappointing. Way less meat, way more rice. Like... mostly rice with barely any chicken Totally killed my appetite. Looks like more, but it's just sauce. 3 stars because I still love their Thai tea w/ coconut cream.

This place is amazing! Customer service is unmatched! The owner helped me customize an order for my toddler and suggested wings. Everything was amazing! We will be back soon an often.

    Teriyaki Gyoza

I ordered the teriyaki gyoza, papaya salad, and pad see ew. My favorite was the pad see ew. The papaya salad was pretty good I just wished I got it a little spicier but I asked for mild just to be safe. The teriyaki gyoza very flavorful and crispy. Will definitely be coming back again. The food was made to order but it didn't take too long for it to be ready.

    Food

The Mango Sticky Rice was good the presentation was good . The tamarindo chicken was horrible hard and burnt. The guy at the register had a horrible unacceptable attitude and got an even worse one when I told him the food was hard and Burt when I told him this him and the girl in the back looked at each other and rolled their eyes I don't recommend the place at all horrible service an food is ok if it's not burnt

Drunken Noodles with fried pork belly , add 1 fried egg. White steamed rice.

I've visited this place couple times and here are the food items I've tried: drunken noodles with pork belly, white rice, gyozas, pad see ew with shirmp, pad thai with shirmp, mango sticky rice and thai tea. Food: Good portions with great flavor! Everything is seasoned well and ingredients taste fresh. I love their fried pork belly and the thai tea a lot! Service: Good Ambiance: great place to hangout and eat with lots of other food vendors and indoor/outside seating. Price: it's a just a little higher than other thai spots visit but definitely worth it. Parking: hard to find parking. I'd definitely recommend this place!

Fresh Spring Rolls with Shrimp...VERY fresh and delicious!

I was in awe of their crab pad Thai which was delicious. It was saucey and balanced sweet and salty. I loved the add tartness from the lime too. Actually what was the star of the menu were the tom yum chicken wings. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The flavor was unique and savory. We were excited to try the Massaman curry. It was a little underwhelming. Tasted like the green curry with brown sauce. I thought it would be more nutty. The ribeye was tight and rubbery. Thought the service was okay. Nothing outstanding. It was unclear whether we ordered at the cashier or by server. We ended up ordering with the server.
