Tucked away across a large strip mall. This an assuming establishment has a wide variety of offerings. Of course they have the regular and popular Thai dishes like the pad Thai and pad see ew and of course the Thai tea . We liked the place since they offer their specials in a handwritten format so you know that it changes from time to time. Tried a new Thai spot (possibly not new, but new to us). I believe Tuktan was here before. Tight parking situation, but we got lucky. We ordered on Yelp for pickup. Food was ready relatively quickly. The space is little, but decorated nicely, all tables were full and everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals. The lady who helped me was very pleasant. Took our food home and were very happy with what we ordered. Pork green curry is my go to. They had crispy pork belly as an option, and I ordered that for my protein instead. The green curry was good, not my favorite green curry I have ever had, but still good. We also ordered crispy pork belly pad see ew and shrimp pad see ew. Both delicious! First time here and it was a pleasant experience. They have a parking area which is good, i was worried about that initially since it was on Broadway. Idk how busy they get during lunch though.... Came in to order to-go and staff was pleasant. Prices are reasonable. Ordered the chicken Satay and Mango Sticky Rice. Chicken Satay was tender, juicy and the highlight of it all was the peanut sauce. It was prolly the best peanut sauce i've ever had. Mango sticky rice was delish. This Thai spot is a legit!!! they've been here for about 2 years now. It's definitely authentic Thai food. The texture, temperate, portion, spices and everything else is right on!!! especially the crying tiger and pork belly krapow. Pad Thai was perfect too! Plus, the complimentary Thai ice tea upon check-in is a delightful touch. The service was fast, the ambiance is welcoming. Thai Bistro has some of the most full flavored Thai food in all of San Diego. My partner and I make the 30 minute drive all the way from the Pacific Beach area to Chula Vista for this Thai food. The pork belly is amazing on every single dish that we've tried and it's next level. The service is super friendly, and the owner is excellent. We've tried the yellow curry, which is amazing. The wings, the Pad Thai, Pad Ke Mao, and the Cashew Nut rice. All of them have been incredible and would highly recommend. read more

Was looking for a Thai restaurant closer to home and I finally found it! It's on Broadway in Chula Vista but you might not find it right away because the front sign, facing Broadway, is not up yet. It was our first time visiting this restaurant and it was delicious. I really enjoyed the ambiance of the place and it was clean. The server was also really nice and was kind enough to answer some questions that we were confused about regarding the menu. The crab rangoons and calamari was delicious! The pad thai was definitely my favorite (so flavorful and we got medium for the spice level). Additionally, the steak (crying tiger) was good as well, the meat was extremely tender and it just melted in my mouth. Overall, I highly recommend this place! We asked for mild because sometimes Thai food can be extra spicy, but it was not hot at all so I wish we did medium. And the Thai tea was good too, not too sweet ! I'm really not sure why this place has such high reviews. I wanted to try something different from my normal Thai spot and Im very disappointed. The flavors weren't there and the portions were small. Had the larb salad, pad see ew and the ton kah soup. Salad was too simple (Chicken, a literal chunk of cabbage and a ton of red onions), pad see ew was tiny and lacked flavor, and the tom kah soup had way too much citrus. Just overall not good. I'm confused about the other reviews. read more

This is definitely a hidden gem in West Chula Vista. The food was delicious and served reasonably quickly. I had the Tom Yum soup, pineapple fried rice, and the panang curry. My criticisms are minor and likely not a deal breaker for many, especially because the food is good and reasonably priced. 1. Their condiments/chili tray could be cleaner. I didn't touch it because it looked sticky. 2. I would have preferred if their hot tea was served it in a teapot (even if they're using tea bags) rather than cups with individual tea bags. 3. Thai food can be messy. Please be generous with napkins! ;) read more

Restaurant is in the mall next to enterprise. Be aware that Google maps will take you past the strip mall entrance and tell you to turn into the street past enterprise. Good food. They were able to accommodate our large party with little to no hesitation. Food came fast and looks good! read more

My friend and I stumbled upon this little place and it was great! We ordered chicken pad kee mao (spicy stir fried noodles), it was very flavorful, veggies cooked right (not overcooked or undercooked) which I appreciated very much. I'm only giving four star because this place was so hot. If you don't enjoy the heat, you should probably avoid this place because they didn't have AC running (I don't know if they didn't have AC or they just didn't wanna turn it on.) My partner and I enjoy coming to this place.. and have officially become regulars. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. The food is cooked fresh and has a lot of flavor. My favorite dish is the FRIED WHOLE FISH with their home made sauces on the side. There's two styles of entrees they offer with the fried whole fish. The fried rice, noodles and wings were decent, though could have used a bit more flavor. The highlights for us were the potstickers, which we enjoyed. Unfortunately, the crispy rolls and cheesy crab were a disappointment and not something we would order again. Overall, if I were to order again, I'd stick with the noodles or fried rice. It wasn't a bad experience, but it didn't really stand out.

The standout items were easily the winter shrimp and half moons. Both were flavorful and well executed. The Pad Thai was tasty, with soft noodles that exceeded expectations, but it was light on the chicken. The same issue showed up with the crab fried rice, which could have used more crab. Flavor wise it was decent, but the added cabbage was not necessary in my opinion. The panang curry was another strong dish in terms of flavor, but the portion to rice ratio was off. It comes with one serving of rice, but you would realistically need a second order to balance the amount of curry. Presentation overall was decent. Nothing particularly impressive, but no major complaints either. Bottom line, this is a solid Thai option in Chula Vista. I'm interested in ordering other menu items to give it a try.
