Pad Thai lunch combo (pad Thai, spring rolls, soup of the day) $11.95
    Sharon Y.

Amazing lunch specials. $11.95 will get you a main, spring rolls, and a soup! You can either get it for dine in or take out. The portions are quite large too. I got the chicken pad Thai and I thought it was delicious. I had plenty left over for later. The staff are lovely and very nice as well. I highly recommend you check out this place for a delicious and budget friendly lunch.

Green curry with chicken and a side of spring rolls for takeout. I'm a huge fan! The curry was HOT. Temperature and spicy-wise. Lots of veg and chicken in the curry. Taste was great. Spring rolls were good. Crispy and hot, came with some sweet n sour sauce. I would def recommend the curry here for takeout. Not sure how the noodles would fare while being delivered.

I'm never really in the area but stopped by for a work lunch because this was the only asian place close by. We opted for their lunch specials, which was one entree with spring rolls and hot & sour soup. To be honest I would rather have payed a few extra dollars for the regular portion as the spring roll and hot & sour soup weren't that exciting We had: Fish Zeed: This is a fried fish served with a mango salad. The fish was hot and crispy and pretty delicious, however the mango was less of a salad and more of... sliced mango with some onions lol Pad khana: This crispy pork belly was unfortunately dry and overcooked and the flavors weren't there for me.

This place was definitely a 'don't judge a book by its cover' situation - I will definitely be coming back! Although the exterior seems a bit random, the food was delicious - the noodles in both dishes were both cooked perfectly and each dish had a great amount of flavor. The servers were also great, very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed!

    Is it ready yet?!?

As I sit at EAT BKK Leslieville for the second Sunday in a row, I contemplate why I have to rewrite my review. Well, it was taken down because it was an organized activity. I don't agree with all the rules, however, I do know that it is unfair to the restaurant that works hard to bring great food to Leslieville - and to me. So here I am. I am checked in. I have ordered food that was not part of my menu last week. Take pictures and I will REALLY enjoy my food. It is after 1PM and the restaurant has about 10 patrons in the restaurant. I sit next to the colourful mural. I order the Tom Yum Shrimp and Green Curry Chicken. I'm a single diner and I can't order anymore. The soup is colourful, full of plump prawns and mushrooms. I would say it might be a touch salty for others but for me, it was just right. As I finish my soup, the table next to me pays compliments to the staff on how much they enjoyed the food and how flavourful the meal was. I nod silently as I spoon up every drop. The Green Curry Chicken is rich and fragrant. At first it tastes like a good curry and then the sweet heat creeps in - Nice! The curry was dressed generously with peppers, in case you have the need to add more kick. When you say chicken, they mean it. Large spoon-sized chicken chucks floating in broth of flavour. I got a little careless and scooped out a morsel and didn't realize the hot pepper ring hidden under it. OOOOOH...the HEAT! EAT BKK is Thai Street Food. Their kitchen is modelled after a Street Cart - something you might find on the streets of Thailand itself. You hear the cook busy with his tools and expertly crafting his dishes. You can stand at the cart and watch if you like. The staff is friendly, courteous and humble. Nanny and her staff provide excellent and efficient service for their guest. EAT BangKoK is a small group of owner-operated restaurants in Toronto. Two in North York on Yonge Street and they are earmarked to open another soon. I hope that they expand into the Hill and MK. This is a first for me, I had to write a second review. It's another first as I am writing the review as I sit and enjoy my meal. Maybe it will become a habit as I don't forget the details. CHEERS! Now the long trip back to the Hill.

Two words. Morning glory. I would totally recommend trying it! I was pleasantly surprised. Went here with my family last week and we totally enjoyed trying things on the menu. There was a big group of us and it allowed us to check off a lot of options on the menu. The Morning glory fried is one of their apps- basically fried spinach and tossed with other ingredients to make a bomb papaya salad. Non veggie lovers, loved this! Also tried the khao soi poutine. It was good, but not my personal favourite app in comparison to the morning glory For mains we tried the PadThai and the Pad Kee Moo, the pineapple fried rice, the fish zeed and the masaman curry. Would say that the Pad Thai was good, I enjoyed it more than the other noodle. The Pad kee does have a hint of spice so if you're a fan I would suggest getting it. The pineapple fried rice has a hint of curry taste, it was good. Fish zeed was a good balance of flavours but not my favourite that I've tried from other Thai places. The masaman curry we got was beef, and they use chunks instead of slices which I prefer. Overall enjoyed the dinner I had here with my family !

I had previously tried the Eat BKK Yonge and Steele's location. I decided to take my friend to the downtown location to grab a quick bite before heading over to CNE as it was on the way. I told my friend I really enjoyed the food at Eat BKK Yonge and Steele's where I ordered the Pad See Ew and Tom Yum Soup. When we got to Eat BKK, there was only one other table there. We were able to pick our seats and the staff was very nice. We decided to share the three items you can seen below. The Khao Soi was very small... it shouldn't be considered a main with such little food inside. I was quiet disappointed. Not to mention the beef was very hard to chew. The chicken wings essentially tasted like salt. I could hardly taste the flavour as the salt took over the entire chicken wing. I had to pat it down on my napkin..... and I generally like salty food. The Thai milk tea was wayyyyy too sweet. My friend suggested to add water.... I initially thought the idea was gross but adding water was able to create two drinks with the right amount of sweetness. I would not come to this location again regardless of the amazing service. If anyone were to come here, I'd tell them to do their research first so they don't end up with a disappointed experience. 2 stars solely for the fact the other location is giving me hope that maybe this location was simply having a bad food day.

This is the third location of BKK Thai kitchen that I've tried and it doesn't disappoint. Decor is on point, the menu has a lot of varieties, especially for vegetarians! The portion is very generous. Our group got the fried morning glory as app to share, it came with a sizable papaya salad on top, feels like a two for one kind of dish!I ordered the Islamic noodles and there were enough noodles for 2/3 meals for sure. Highly recommend checking out this place.

I'll be honest the signage outside prevented me from trying this place out, but I'm glad we visited. Food and service was great. I really enjoyed the Pad Kaprao Kai Dow. I found the Fritto Misto (fried squid) a little too crumbly and lacked the Tom Yum flavour. Pad Thai texture was great, a little heavy on the fish sauce. But I'd come back to try other dishes.

Leslieville is looking great! Lot of good food and drink options. Thai food was excellent, I went with simple pad Thai. Will return!

Stopped by one night after work with my coworkers for some thai food. Based on the reviews, I was not sure what to expect. I made a reservation with the restaurant for 6 pm. My group wanted to grab drinks before at the bar next door as Eat BKK does not yet have its liquour license. A restaurant would normally never hold its reservations for a large group - however the manager was incredibly sweet! She let us quickly go over and grab some drinks first and then come back with the same table all ready for us to be seated. The food was absolutely delicious, I had the red curry with beef. It reminded me of the authentic dish I had in Thailand. My coworkers all seemed to really enjoy their food as well. The service was incredible, they were extremely welcoming, friendly and attentive. Will definitely return!

Just like how they painted the Thai flag...

I love the interior and deco at this place. Washrooms are also clean. That's always a bonus for me. Food is good. An innovative way of serving the fish cakes that I ordered. It was served with some tempura leafy green beans underneath the fish cakes. The batter was nice, not to thick or overpowering. Though, the fish cake however left me wondering if it's home made or bought and then cooked. The Khao soi noodle was just the right portions, but not spicy enough. I also liked that the beans sprouts were not overcooked. But these are probably personal preference. Love the thickness in the curry. Will have to come back and try out the rice dishes.

Best salad ever. Fried morning glory

Sansotei Ramen Review…read more Order: Black Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen Ambience: Sansotei at union station is more like a quick takeout /food court ramen spot than a sit-down restaurant. It's great if you're grabbing something fast, but the seating area wasn't the cleanest and I had to look around for a table that had been wiped down, which wasn't ideal if I am paying 21$ for a bowl of tonkotsu ramen. Food: I tried the black tonkotsu ramen and it was definitely rich and filling. I liked that you can choose between thick or thin noodles, which is a nice touch. That said, the broth was a bit too rich and salty for my taste and could use something to balance it out, maybe an order or Diet Coke. The meat was good but not as tender as I would like. Sides and Pairing Tip: I'd recommend getting a side of gyoza or even a Diet Coke to help cut through how rich, heavy and salty the ramen feels. Value for Money: It's a good option for a quick meal, but it does feel a little expensive for the experience you're getting for that price. Overall: Great for a fast ramen fix when you're on the go, but maybe not the best choice if you're looking for a more comfortable dine-in experience, or more value for money. 3/5

We decided to walk up to Queen Street to see something we hadn't seen and seemed like a good area with a wide variety of restaurants. I was almost writing this review for the one on Dundas Street, but realized there are a few locations in downtown. Glad I double checked. We walked up along Spadina to Queen, not all the way up to Dundas. We were weighing options, but we were unsure what we wanted and struggled. We almost ended up at another restaurant with live music outside, but we weren't being served and wasn't enthusiastic about their menu. So, we looked at a couple of options. We didn't want Chipotle or Chick Fil-A; I can get that anytime as I live near those in Maryland. Also, I wanted cuisine that was harder to find near where I live. Ultimately, we settled on Mogouyan Hand-Pulled Noodles. After a lot of hunger trying to decide, this ended up being an excellent choice. Server was friendly answering our questions. It was moderately priced. We got their hand-pulled noodles, which was a large bowl, and was delicious with beef, veggies, & plenty of noodles. I also got their Japanese Toki brand whiskey. This was a FINE choice at a reasonable price. We got into some conversation with the server about being from the US and various other topics. This was an excellent experience, highly recommend.

The weather in Toronto this week has been in the 20's and 30's! The restaurant does serve the dodgers when they are in town! If it's good enough for them... I ordered a Canadian whiskey to start off. It was very nice and smooth. I think it was a Sleeman and sons? Not positive but I really liked it! Then the food. I ordered the first roll from every section. There were some repeats which he advised me would happen but I didn't mind! The sushi was so tender and had great flavor. My husband ordered the ribeye steak and that was really really good. I would order that definitely next time and come here again!

I don't usually go for high-end sushi restaurants, but Miku has been on my list for a while, so I was genuinely excited to finally check it out. The restaurant is located on the ground level of an office building, but the moment you step inside the restaurant, everything changes. You go from bright, corporate lighting to a moody, romantic space with soft, dim lighting and a refined, intimate ambiance... it truly feels like entering a different world. Bonus points for the complimentary coat check, which is a huge win during winter when everyone is lugging around massive puffer jackets. We were seated in plush, velvety sofa booths near the bar, with a view of the street, which felt both cozy and upscale. Shoutout to our server, Shintaro, who was phenomenal with his warm, attentive, and energetic service, which made the whole experience even better. We started with drinks: my coworkers ordered sake flights, while I went with their signature cocktail, the kumquat cosmo. It was sweet and citrusy, and exactly what I needed on a Tuesday night after work. For appetizers, we all chose the sushi and sashimi selection, which included 9 pieces of chef-selected sashimi, chef-selected nigiri, and aburi oshi sushi. This was chef's kiss. The sashimi was incredibly fresh, and the sushi and nigiri were perfectly seasoned and sauced, so that we didn't even need soy sauce (though they do have a lovely house-made sweet soy sauce). I ordered the Red Wave Roll just to use their house-made sweet soy sauce... and wow. I've never had sushi that didn't fall apart after biting into it For my main, I went with the roast black cod. It was cooked beautifully, with a tender, slightly chewy texture that was rich but not overwhelming. For dessert, I went with their famously loved green tea opera. It's a small green tea sponge cake layered with matcha buttercream, red bean cream, and a hazelnut wafer crust, paired with a rich, velvety matcha ice cream on the side. Balanced, not overly sweet, and the perfect ending to the meal. Overall, Miku lived up to (and honestly exceeded) the hype. Incredible food, top-notch service, and a beautiful atmosphere.
