We eat here all the time, for years. Small family owned...service is quick and helpful. Lunch specials are cheap and huge, and cooked to order - so hot you have to let it cool down. Always can order 'extra spicy' and it's very flavorful. They do lots of takeouts, but we eat in. I have never had the negative issues noted in other reviews. read more

Another hole in the wall restaurant. Small & cluttered - sign of a very small store. They run lunch specials 7 days a week so it was a #17 Szechuan Beef lunch special & for me a #4 Mongolian Beef & Sweet & Sour Chicken Combo. Egg drop soups came out first. They were flavorful, hot and thick. The meat dishes were nicely spiced( not overly hot for what we ordered) the beef was tender and delicious. Sweet & sour chicken was not overcooked or dry. My first visit to this Chinese restaurant. Don't be put off by its lack of curb appeal. It has a rather mundane appearance from the parking lot. Further, once inside it appeared that they are in the midst of either a cleaning or remodeling project, and there were boxes and things piled up everywhere. But, I was greeted and seated within a few seconds of arrival, and had a nice lunch of beef with broccoli. Very large portion, nice flavors, tasty egg drop soup. This is our go to Chinese place for takeout. The portions they serve the last 2 to 3 days. They are humongous! I usually get the chicken mushroom. It is so tender and filled with juicy vegetables in the sauce is amazing. It comes with white rice. My husband gets the Kung pow chicken with the pork fried rice, and it lasts for days! The only downside is it's pretty pricey. It was about $15.50 for my mushroom chicken or any other entrée I believe the combos may be a little cheaper. But compared to all the food that you are getting it's worth it. I would recommend calling in before ordering and they usually make it pretty fast. Also check out the almond cookies they have. They're pretty good as well and they're only $1.50! read more

Egg drop soup is great. The prices are very reasonable and seems to have locals in the place. Customer service is not to be expected here, while they are nice they also have no concept of customer service. They do not ask you if you need a refill you have to track them down for that. The food is good though I have to say that again. I was worried that food is left out as I got there a big bowl of Chicken was left in the kitchen prep area. It was there before I got there as I could see it there and was still three when I left. This restaurant is just beyond gross. I do not know how it has gotten the ratings it has. Everything was fried, frozen, cheap quality. Yes the portions they serve are huge, but seriously they should consider serving smaller portions, and better quality. I think the sweet and sour shrimp was the grossest thing I have ever eaten. This place needs improvement. No prob with curb appeal or inside (looked OK) but the FOOD is horrific. MSG, way OVERSALTED and tasteless...guess they thought the salt would add taste? My fried rice was the worst I have ever had (and it was not made w/ regular rice but sticky rice....awful). My husbands chow mein shrimp dish was also terrible. I had egg drop soup and it was a gelatinous mess ...full of CORNSTARCH to make it thick. The food was not good and it did not even LOOK GOOD or appetizing. They really need to IMPROVE. That is why I am writing this. How about FRESH items in the food? And some taste besides salt or MSG? It our first time and it will be our last time. read more

I used to take family to East First many years ago . We enjoyed the ambiance, value, service, flavor and quality of the food. I recently order food to carryout and found it to be expensive and the food lacked flavor and spice. Thankfully, there are better alternatives in chinese food in Albuquerque. read more

I have been coming here for many years and always have enjoyed the food and had wonderful service! The food is freshly cooked, and is very generous with enough for one combo to feed two people! I really recommend ordering from this restaurant and when indoor dining is back to normal, enjoy the hot food there! My kiddos love the food as well! Don't be fooled by the tiny location in a small strip mall off of Coors. These folks give you a ton of food for what you pay and it's very good! I got the sweet and sour chicken dinner combo. It was pretty good. One thing I really liked was that their home made hot Chinese mustard was perfect!! I'll be back. Kung Pao chicken was unrecognizable, potstickers were deep fried and got thrown away, wings were overly battered in a flavorless batter and met the same demise as the potstickers.
