    Chicken chow mein
    Genieen G.

Went to try chopstix after hearing many great things about them. The first time we went to try to visit, they were closed even though the hours on their door (and on google) said they should be open. There was no sign on the door to suggest why they were closed... so we were a bit disappointed. We went back two days later at dinner and it was open so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the chicken chow mein which was huge portions. The vegetables were fresh and still had a nice crunch to them. The egg drop soup was slightly lacking. The egg rolls were definitely my least favorite thing about the meal... otherwise as far as the chow mein I would go back to try another dish... the main course was good. Service was quick... the waitress was friendly... was a little hot, as it is mainly windows and the sun was shining right in...

Food was made fresh to order and was really good. We had the sweet and sour chicken, beef lo mein, and egg drop soup. Everything was good. Staff were really friendly and patient while we decided what to get. This order was to go but the ambiance was chill. Nice open space and can accommodate a large groups of people. I'm traveling through but this place was a gem for dinner eats. Definitely a must if you're in the area and never mind some of the three stars it's gotten in the past this place is good.

Best pot stickers I've ever had in a land locked state. Sesame Chicken was sub par, pork lo mein was above average. Rice was fine. All in all, not too bad.

Silly name; great traditional Chinese fare. They have the gringo standard items, but honestly, their whole menu is the secret menu. Seeing photos online of their Egg Fu Yong with a sauce that I prefer, sold us on a lunch visit. Of course my lunch was delicious, but my buddy's Broccoli Beef lunch special was excellent, as well. And for $8.95 w/choice of soup it had me shaking my head. Those are 2016-2020 prices, that we do not see anymore where I'm from in Washington State. The ladies in the FOH did a nice job taking care of a very busy dining area. Glad these guys are doing well...

Amazing chicken fried rice and egg rolls. Never needed to add sauce because it was that good! :)

Lunch was perfect size for Sara and I. We got sesame chicken with white rice and vegetables perfect. This is right next to Smith's so you can stop here and get your lunch before you get your groceries for the rest of the week. The chicken was fresh and the sesame sauce was sweet and delicious. The rice was sticky enough and moist.

Fellow Yelpers, are you tired of looking for AUTHENTIC Chinese food and then running into this problem? I know when I lived in ABQ, I was real fed up of looking on Yelp for Chinese food and then finding 5 star ratings full of reviews about Americanized dishes like Orange Chicken or cream cheese wontons. If you want the real deal, Look no further. ChopstiX is LEGIT. It's a well known fact that Albuquerque has a shortage of good Chinese food. They have a handful of Szechuan and Taiwanese items on their menu. I highly recommend the Japanese egg tofu, stir fried green beans, bean curd and mustard greens, beef flat noodles, and the Szechuan peppercorn chicken or salt and pepper chicken. You really can't go wrong with what you order here. Even Jackie Chan himself came here several times and created his own dish when he was filming a movie. Go support this local business!

She always gets the Miso Ramen hotpot and I've always changed up what I get between the sizzling plates and the hotpot options. Our absolute favorite is the basil popcorn chicken, we always get extra sauce as well because we tend to run out of the sauce before the chicken. But if you do come here please make sure you order it! They carry a lot of the traditional Japanese beers despite being a taiwanese based restaurant but that's not a bad thing, the Kirin in particular is hard to find in Albuquerque so it's my go to. The Formosa flight is also a great option for anyone looking to explore Sake. The service is nice and Lena is usually the server we see the most, she is great and always checking in on us throughout our time dining. We usually go in around 4pm and I believe it is typically the shift changeover period and it will be one or two other tables dining In and we tend to get checked on by multiple servers which is nice as a customer. We never have a bad experience here, and despite wanting to try new restaurants, we both consistently agree that Tasty pots basil popcorn chicken is worth coming here for, from there I always struggle with what to order as i want to try everything once and my girlfriend will always choose the Miso ramen hotpot. It's a great place to come and spend some time in, and there's even Boba and teas you can get to go! Typically the price range for us lands around $80 to $120 without tip depending on us getting the combo deal or not, alcohol, soft drinks, boba tea, and our appetizer. We also spend about an Hour or hour and a half dining In from the time we are sat to the time we have packed up our leftovers and are leaving out the door.

Easy to see the restaurant from the parking lot, cute tasteful neon lights point the way. The cook greeted me as I walked in, looking over his shoulder and let me me know someone would be with me soon (much appreciated; you never want to feel unseen) Neddie/Netty was helping at a table but acknowledged me then came over to show me to a table. She proved so helpful. I explained it was my first time there, she asked what I wanted to drink then said she'd send it out: it came by robot! I grabbed my drink then I had to read the screen to send it on its way: it was cute. When it came to ordering, newbie here, it looked like I wouldn't hv enough time to savor any of the main entrees what with other orders going on, and me hvg to leave for my next appt in 40 minutes, so I just ordered a shrimp tempura appetizer. A few minutes later, a dish was delivered to a nearby table when the cook, I learned his name is Viktor, asked if he could make it in 2-3 minutes, would I still like the bulgogi over rice or Japanese ramen: I looked to Neddy for her recommendation and went with the latter. Viktor was as good as his word: steaming sizzling plate of yumminess in front of me within 5". I still took 3/4 of the dish with me and it's even better as leftovers! Re: the shrimp tempura appetizer It was ok, perfectly battered and fried but seemed factory-determined cookie-cutter, all the same size, no heads, no tails. But it's a sweet, spacious establishment, cool in the 100° heat without being chilly, friendly attentive thoughtful service and tasty food. I'll be back to try the main stuff -- and allow ample time to savor the offerings.

This comes with three scoops of salad; one of egg salad, one of tuna, and one of chicken salad. It's served with tomatoes. The salads were very tasty! Unfortunately there was something that was undetectable in the chicken salad and I felt too weird to eat something I couldn't place so I threw that salad away.
