The size of the orange chicken rubble.I had to put Panda n teriyaki sauce on it to help flavor.

The food has gone down. Orange chicken has pieces of the orange rind and pith on it which is bitter. The chicken was dried and tired and small pieces like rubble. The chicken chow mein and pork buns had off setting flavor. What in the hell happened here???? I wont go agin but you can try-but you've been warned.

This place just has it down. No bells or whistles- but just nail it on every level: atmosphere, service and great food. Their egg rolls are the best in town. Love their traditional food offerings and specials are fun, too. Staff is always welcoming and friendly. Love this place!

Pretty good, and decent price! Went with my boyfriend and mom and we had a nice time. The restruant was pretty too.

A Christmas tradition in our family; Chinese food on Christmas Day. Ho Lo MA is the place. Even with a family of 5 and no reservations, immediate seating. A wide variety of items on the menu so everyone can get what they want (and plenty for sharing), and reasonable prices make me happy. Give 'em a try, you won't be disappointed.

The business has been open for years. Certainly, not a fancy interior...but the food is good. Ourthreesome feasted on eggrolls(veggie), sesame chicken, sauteed brocolli, mooshu pork and egg foo young!!! Service was great as always...we even tried some hot saka. Limited alcohol menu but sufficient choices for a drink. They do take out as well. Open Christmas...been frequenting for over 30 years. Prices are definitely reasonable as well!!!

    Lunch specials.

We visited Ho Lo Ma for lunch on a weekday. We each ordered a lunch special. My husband ordered the lunch special D, which was chicken chow mein, sweet & sour pork, fried rice, and egg flower soup for $8.50. I ordered the lunch special P, which was shrimp chow mein, sweet & sour pork, fried rice, egg flower soup, and an egg roll for $9.50. The prices seemed artificially low, and there turned out to be a reason: there's not much taste, and the serving size of the sweet & sour pork was 5 small pieces of meat. The egg roll had an odd spice to it I didn't particularly enjoy. Overall, the food wasn't worth the $9.50, as low of a price as that is. There was 1 server for 11 tables, at least all of which had a minimum of 2 people. The table across from us had their appetizer and food delivered all at the same time because the one server couldn't keep up with 11 tables (which seems like common sense). We won't go back. The food isn't appetizing, they understaff, and the meat portions are tiny.

My favorite weekly spot in Albuquerque. The general tao chicken, kung po & duck are amazing. Service is great & it's family owned/operated.

First off, we ordered the vegetable egg rolls for an appetizer, I do not recommend them since they are frozen ones. They were tasteless while the interior of these rolls were mushy, though the duck sauce was quite tasty it could not overcome these appetizers. Our entrees came next, my husband asked about the serving size and he was told a plate only fed one person, not true. The plate serves two. Anyway, the Kung Pao Chicken has really good flavor, was spicy and served with a side of steamed white rice. My husband's entree was Orange Chicken and nothing spectacular about it. But what will keep us from ever going back was that as we sat in the restaurant eating I started to smell cigarette smoke. It became more pronounced and I realized they were smoking in the kitchen and had the door open to where we were sitting. With that revelation my husband quickly got us out of there...the cigarette smoking inside the kitchen is a total dealbreaker.

The noodles were fresh and not too soft. The chicken soup was excellent and when I added the chili oil, it was excellent! The food was promised in 8 to 10 minutes and was ready easily in that time. I ordered Crab Rangoon, a favorite of my wife, and pork fried noodles. The Crab Rangoon is some of the best in Albuquerque. I could actually taste the crab. Most I've had here just taste of cream cheese, so whatever they do at YNH, they should continue! The pork fried noodles, on the other hand, were nothing special. The dish tasted of Chinese Five Spice which includes clove and is not a favorite flavor for me. My wife didn't mind so much, so this is certainly a personal issue. Add a star if you are ok with the seasoning. We will certainly be back for the Rangoon and to try other menu options.
