I'd been past here a few times and been meaning to try it. It's downtown and easy to get to by bus. The atmosphere is casual, a little "hole in the wall" type place. The service I got was friendly and welcoming. I had wonton soup and shrimp egg foo young and had plenty of leftover egg foo young for later. Both were very tasty and a generous portion for the money. Menu prices reflect the simplicity of the restaurant. We ordered from the lunch menu - Mongolian Beef with steamed rice and Szechuan Beef with fried rice. Both came with Egg Drop Soup. The meat for both dishes was thicker sliced, well seasoned and tender. The heat level was just right, hot enough to enjoy without killing off the taste buds. The fried rice was on the dry side. The total was $10.95, which was a good price for the amount of food. The chicken was slightly tough and not very flavorful. The spring roll didn't have a memorable taste. The egg flower soup had an interesting flavor I couldn't place that I didn't particularly enjoy. The fountain drink dispenser wasn't working, but they did have cold soda in cans. HOLY SMOKES was Lulu's delicious. I had the pork fried rice and even though it's my favorite menu item, nobody makes it the way I like it. But THIS!! this was perfect. It was fresh, the right amount of salt, the egg was just right and they used a hint of onion. I know you can't really judge a whole restaurant on one menu item but it's got me going back. The place is usually pretty empty but they do a kickin take out business. Their menu says they also deliver. The prices are also very reasonable......and the service can't be beat. read more

We had our lunch delivered from Lulus for my daughters birthday. Food was delivered the time given and was hot , the delivery person very pleasant.So happy we are within there delivery service. Food is great, and the delivery through their website is what I would suggest instead of a third-party app. I ordered their Honey Walnut Shrimp (which is now my go-to style) along with steamed rice. The man who delivered my food was so kind and gentle. If I was forced to complain, it would be about their appetizers. Not great, but it could've just been my preference. Yes, I end up with leftovers, which somehow only get even more delicious after a couple hours in the fridge. The location downtown is spacious. The staff are competent and pleasant. Best American Chinese in Albuquerque. Reminds me of places in LA or Seattle. Almost as good as places in Chicago. So when you hear that there isn't good Chinese food in Albuquerque they are unaware of Lulu's or somewhere else was so bad it wiped their memory. The food, you get a lot for the price. Best to order as take out and pick it up yourself as the delivery service can get overwhelmed. The honey walnut shrimp is quite good. The sauce is a little thick compared to the places in Seattle, but still quite good. The Singapore noodles are very very good. Get the combo. The Hong Kong style fried rice is my favorite. Quite light compared to regular fried rice. Delicious. I haven't tried everything on the menu, yet. Terrible Food. We'd heard this was traditional Chinese and as my wife is Chinese we were looking forward to trying. Not a nice place, like a warehouse with a few random tables. The egg drop soup had veggies that seemed dehydrated and not quite rehydrated. My sweet and sour pork, if there was an ounce of meat in all those balls of bread I'd be surprised. and the sauce was so weak it was almost tasteless. The Average: We ordered the Shrimp supreme but received their Garlic Shrimp...not a big deal...we kept it and ate it. Although it was ok, we didn't really pic up a heavy garlic/spicy flavor...so, it was just ok. THE GOOD: we also ordered the 3-Meat House Special - this dish was excellent...it stole the show. Great sauce, big flavor and just flat out delicious/memorable. This dish alone would bring us back. Came here twice, got chow mein and fried rice. Weirdest chow mein I've ever had. It looked just some fried wonton skins passed off as noodles. Separate was the stir fried beef, which is interesting. I guess they didn't want to mix it to keep the "noodles" crispy. So weird that I had to order it again just to make sure they didn't give me the wrong order. Lo and behold, it was the same thing. That is definitely not what one would consider chow mein, but it was interesting. The fried rice was well wok fried, but man it was just bland, just beef, shrimp, and egg. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed my dinner here. Before entering the exterior does not look super welcoming, but upon entering it is a complete turn around. Simple elegant decor and nicely furnished marble tables and wooden chairs. The owner/waitress was extremely attentive! And came with the swiftness every time my glass was empty (I drink a lot of water, usually 4-5 glasses)! Food was good and my combination crispy noodle was truly a combination. It had shrimp, beef, chicken, bean sprouts, carrots, and onions. I was a little disappointed that the crispy noodles were crispy wonton strips though. I am not sure what kind of meat was used for the sesame chicken but all of it was cut in weird skinny pieces. The chicken was also very dry and did not taste like sesame chicken.
