Eat Pretty is hidden away on a side street but it is a gem of a city place. Every time I have gone here I have gotten great service they have a great selection of coffee, teas, wraps, bagels. It's a small spot with limited seating inside and a couple of spots outside to sit. Service has been great and a local family spot you really can't go wrong with this place. read more

The cinnamon roll I got here is about half the size as what it's supposed to be as you can see from the picture I attached. It was also rock hard and inedible even after I warmed it up -when I told the owner the first thing she said to me was "did you warm it up?" and I said "yes" and she goes lif you don't like it you don't have to come backl. What?? What kind of insane response is that? There was no "oh I'm sorry " or " let me get you something else" ust straight. "you don't have to come back none of our other customers complain." First of all, BS, bc so many ppl have complained . 2-i don't care what others say and 3-, this was clearly sitting here for hours because it tasted horrible - all she had to do was say sorry you got a bad one let me get you something else instead, (a normal response any other business would give) but I got attitude and complete disrespect and disregard -which means she dsnt care about her customers at all. I have never been treated like that in my life and now understand why there are complaints, especially the owner. There are many great bakeries on the UES with nice people that I will continue to support but never this again. If you're gonna be that nasty at least have good food to back it up. Hours are always changing and the last time I ate here there was a bug in my food and the worker would not remake it. The owner was also extremely rude telling me "bye" repeatedly until I left. Will not be going back, sadly used to love this spot :( read more

Cute little spot if you are in the neighborhood. I tried the hangover breakfast bagel and it was good. I think the eggs were organic. The bacon wasn't crispy and it was hard to "eat pretty" with all the ingredients falling off the bagel. I'm satiafied though. They have outdoor seating with umbrellas so you are not in the sun. Eat Pretty is located at York Ave. and E 83rd Street. As you walk down the street, you see a cute pink cafe with lots of outdoor tables and chairs. Naturally you want to investigate .The cafe itself is tiny. It can only accommodate about 3 people at a time. The line goes out the door. I would say it is worth the wait. The cookies and sweets are unique and exciting. If you need breakfast or lunch, they have a million things to choose from. Also, coffee options galore. I needed something sweet when I came to check it out. I ordered the Birthday Cake Loaf Slice ($5.99). I ate it outside and it hit the spot. The piped frosting made me feel like I was eating wedding cake, it was a nice touch. This is a great spot to show off the neighborhood when your parents come to town, a place to meet a friend who appreciates the little things in life, or on a great solo date. When I asked the man behind the counter, if he makes the beautiful cookies, he smiled and told me his wife did. SO CUTE!!!! read more

The service was friendly and the ambiance is really cute (lots of pink, girly decor that makes it a fun place to visit). However, the drink itself was a huge letdown. I paid $9 for what was essentially a big cup of milk with Hershey's syrup and a bit of cream. Definitely not worth the price. The worst part was the boba (it tasted sour and unpleasant, which is not normal). I brought it up to the staff, and instead of offering to fix it or at least acknowledge the issue, the worker told me I'd have to pay again if I wanted it remade. She even started calling upper management just to ask how much it would be without the boba. I've honestly never had a business handle a customer concern like that, especially at premium prices. Overall, it's a cute spot with good service and Instagram-worthy vibes, but beware: it's overpriced, and the quality doesn't match the aesthetic. I won't be back. read more

The personnel at this venue are simply marvellous. The place is wonderful, and the overall atmosphere is simply first-class. These people are not only hard workers but also skilled coffee-makers. Such a super cute bakery with an all pink theme. They serve everything from breakfast sandwiches to delicious sweet treats, especially their pretty hot chocolate. I finally got the chance to check out Eat Pretty after having it saved for over a year. There is a small bench inside the store and some small tables out in front. Since the store is pretty small, there's only 2 people working in the back. I came on a Thursday afternoon and there was a decent crowd - a lot of people got the viral hot chocolate (which takes a while to make). Since I already had lunch, I decided to get their bear cookies (mainly because it's so cute). You can choose which design you want! It is a sugar cookie - I was worried the icing would be too sweet, but surprisingly, it wasn't too sweet at all and balanced nicely with the cookie. It is a harder cookie though, so I recommend popping it in the microwave for 5 seconds unless you want crumbs everywhere. Prices are a little steep for a cookie - I paid $13 for 2 cookies. :l I definitely won't go here often, but I think it's pretty good for a nice treat every once in a while. read more

Super cute little cafe in Yorkville. I often come by here when I want to treat myself to something sweet and indulgent. They have a wide variety of baked goods, coffees, teas, breakfast items, and sandwiches, etc. The service can be a hit or miss but for the most part it's not been too bad. It's quite a small space and two people working inside, so be prepared for waits during busy hours/days. Probably best to come by when you're not in a rush or they are no lines. The space indoors is quite small but the decor both inside and outdoors is super cute. Great for photos. They don't really have seating inside. You basically order, get your items and can sit in their small outdoor section or take your food to go. So far I've tried their bacon egg and cheese bagel, coffee, alfajores, and hot cocoa. Eat Pretty is a tiny walk in space with tons of food options. I was just walking by and the beautiful tables with umbrellas caught my attention. Of course I couldn't miss the huge sign that said COFFEE! As soon as I entered a man behind the counter was ready to welcome and assist me. He answered my questions in between phone calls. I finally decided to purchase the Dulce de Leche Cookie. It was $3.54 including the tax. I thought that was steep until I ate it later. The only way to describe how delicious it was is "Melt in Your Mouth ". It's an expensive 10 Seconds of pleasure. It took me three bites! Give this small cute business a try. I'm going back for a slice of the Banana Bread. I also saw some interesting menu items I would try. The prices are a little high to me though. Cute spot in the UES! A little tucked away on 83rd street but it is noticeable from afar. Very decorative inside and out, and prices match its surroundings- it was about $4.75 for an iced coffee with milk. They offer some bakery items as well as food. Only one barista behind the counter but I was the only one in the shop at 10 am, so service was quick. Great flavor, sweet people, cute interior/seating! Decent prices. Food could use some tweaks in my opinion. I've come here several times now and have tried a couple of their paninis, and a few slices of their pound cakes. I've noticed their cakes tend to run a little dry. So far I've had the lemon cake twice and the coffee cake once. They look beautiful and taste pretty good, but I find myself wishing I had coffee or tea to wash it down with *every* bite. I plan to try the blueberry slice next time - this one appears to be more moist. The flavor of the paninis are great. So far I've tried the pollo verde and the gallina. The proportions of filling to bread, amount of sauce, and thickness of the grilled chicken are great. Appropriate for $12. My one complaint about their paninis is they are a bit too crunchy - this is the kind of sandwich that will definitely leave the roof of your mouth scraped if you aren't careful about your bites. Considering how much I have loved the flavor of the paninis though, I will likely overlook the scraped roof of my mouth and go back to try their others. If you're wondering whether or not the pollo verde panini is spicy because of the jalapeños: I think the jalapeños are pickled. They add a nice mild spice to the sandwich. It's not overpowering either; they add just the right amount of jalapeños to the sandwich. Update: Came back for their steak tacos today. They gave plenty of meat, cilantro, and onions on each taco. Two corn tortillas per taco. They are standard sized tacos despite only giving two per order as opposed to the usual three. I was satisfied even though there were only two since they were generously filled. Much like the paninis the flavor was great, but things could use some tweaking. I personally have never had corn tortillas cooked so much on street tacos (assuming this was what they were striving for). I prefer mine to be on the softer side, but these were bordering on tough due to being cooked. I enjoyed the tacos, but my jaw was a bit tired by the time I got through them. read more

Reviewed this when it was Yorkafe, and nothing, thankfully, has changed. In 2022, I said this was my favor egg sandwich in NYC, and I'd still stand by that. The BLT which is actually a BLAT is just so so good. Place is super tiny, but the staff there is amazingly attentive, patient and fast. Always grab a cup of coffee here, strong, and smooth. Cute place nestled in Upper Eastside Manhattan. This is a family-owned business that brews Arabic Salvadoran coffee. The actual cafe is tiny. I would guess only about 2-4 people could fit inside to stand in line and order. There is no inside seating, only outdoor which would be fine in the warmer months! I saw this place on Instagram and had to stop by. It was so aesthetic with pink decor on the outside and the inside. It's a small spot but there's plenty of seating outside if you want to sit and enjoy. You can order hot or cold drinks, salads, tacos, other bites and sweets. I got a lemonade which was so refreshing and two sweets. One was a cookie that was blue and looked like Cookie Monster and the other was a macaroon that looked like a little bear. If you're looking for an Instagrammable spot in the UES area look no further! I had to visit for a cute photo-op and the Pretty Hot Coco. They also sell other goodies from bagels, sandwiches, to even tacos. As for the hot coco, it was chocolatey enough and partially sweet from the toppings. I enjoyed it. I am not so surprised it was a whopping $7.50 for a small cup since you pay for the aesthetic, I guess. The space is as cute as the pictures look but it is really small. No indoor seating and there is a few tables outside, when the weather permits. There will be people taking photos, so be prepared. Staff were pretty friendly. Stopped in for a late lunch. The place has no indoor seating , but does have a few tables and chairs outside. My daughter and I split the York panini. The sandwich was large enough for sharing. The bread was Italian crusted and was toasted just enough, so the bread was still soft. The chicken was tender and the mozzarella was lightly sliced, to compliment the chicken. Eat Pretty is one of those places that's been on my list because of the photos. The aesthetics didn't disappoint, but I wouldn't go back. The almond croissant I grabbed for lunch was extraordinarily pricey for a pastry that was hard and dense, rather than flaky and buttery. The staff weren't happy that I wanted to read on my iPad at the outdoor seating (on a weekday) because, as they said, "people will take pictures." My bad for wanting a place to chill for a moment, since I guess I ruin the vibe? (I wrote fairly and measuredly about my experience on my cafe-focused IG, and they blocked me in response.) These croissants may be ok to make croissant sandwiches, warmed up; but definitely not good to eat by itself. Bummer because the service was good and it's got a nice vibe to sit outside and eat. Their coffee in general is delicious and actually worth the premium they charge, so the two stars. There are cafes with much better quality baked goods around here like Black star and Miss Madeline.
