Italian chips
Jennifer M.

OUTSTANDING Sandwiches! We ordered the Chicken Cutlet on a Kaiser Roll and a Chicken Parm sandwich w/ chips and an Italian Orange drink. These were both absolutely fantastic! The sauce on the parm sandwich was the best we've ever had! There's some beautiful Italian products to purchase in this little store and prepared meals to go as well. Our only complaint was we had to get the sandwiches "to go" since there's just a few barstools inside at a window counter to eat at and some picnic tables outside w/ no umbrellas. It's just too hot to eat outside w/ no umbrella's. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Chicken Caesar Cutlet Sandwich

We stopped into Italia Market while walking the Lakewood Ranch Farmers Market, and we're glad we did. The space is clean and modern with a large ordering counter, shelves of imported Italian goods (including a nice wine selection), and a small eat-in counter in the back. It didn't feel especially warm or "family-owned," and the staff's expressions were a bit flat. The outdoor seating could've been great had they opened the umbrellas--it was a hot, sunny day. Now the food--incredible. We tried the chicken cutlet sandwich with tomato potato chips, and the chicken Caesar cutlet. The cutlets were perfectly grilled--crispy without being greasy--and the bread was just right: soft yet sturdy enough to hold everything together. I added a bit more Caesar dressing to the sandwich, which made it even better. Half portions were more than enough, and at $12, a solid deal. And yes, the tomato chips are surprisingly delicious. A few ambiance tweaks and this place could be five stars. We'll definitely be back.

Regular whole Italian sub. Best I've ever had.

We were a bit skeptical about going here, because we felt the prices were a bit high for a deli sandwich. However, after reading the reviews, stating how delicious the meats & cheeses are, we decided to try. Couldn't have been happier that we went. Indeed, the sandwiches are mouth-watering, and HUGE. I wish I had a ruler to measure the size of the sandwich. Got the Italian salad with a side chicken cutlet - delicious and moist. HIGHLY recommend this place. Eat at the Waterside Pavillion; light breezes and beautiful view. BYOBeverage, ample free parking.

Really good. Had the spicy Italian grinder and Tuscana soup. Both were excellent! I'd recommend it.

Great sandwiches that are big enough for two. Sell some nice Italian products good for Sunday cooking.

Great food but 25 minutes for a salad is a bit much of a wait time. Could have gotten from any of the restaurants in Waterside.

While Bohemios is tapas, they also offer some full plate dishes such as the Paella and our other dish, Bohemios Churrasco. We definitely liked the food. The Paella had a mild familiar flavor. It could have used more seafood but for the price, I was more than satisfied. The Churrasco steak was cooked perfectly for me and their zesty chimichurri sauce made it excellent. I didn't try the side of Gallo Pinto, I don't really like most beans, but my wife seemed to enjoy it. The fried sweet plantains were delicious. Another thing I did enjoy was their Mediterranean Bruschetta, three pieces stacked high, what a great start to the meal. Bohemios is a smallish place with about 8 tables and maybe a dozen bar seats inside, a few more tables outside. Reservations are recommended. Our server was a fun, outgoing, memorable guy and we loved all our interactions. The pace of the meal was good, about 10 minutes for the Bruschetta, another 10 after we finished for the main course. We picked a bad day for only one reason, the guitar player was out with an injury.

Great food selections. Huge wine list. Attentive service and reasonable prices. Really recommended,…read moreparticularly Friday/Saturday dinners.

I wish Yelp would allow a no-star review when a restaurant fails in such a spectacular way. I will…read morebe as concise as possible in order to exactly describe our experience last evening. We were guests in what our hosts described as "their favorite restaurant" and Yelp awards a 4-stars review...my conclusion was: either the restaurant was having a really bad night or reviewers have lost their understanding of what a 4-stars restaurant should be like. Our hosts ordered a bottle of white Bordeaux which the owner poured in our glasses as if she was pouring the lowly Sarasota water, filled our glasses almost to the top practically emptying the bottle. Then it was time to order, the lady host asked for the foie gras appetizer which she had absolutely recommended...Sorry, we are out! Appetizers: we ordered 2 Escargots, and the Homemade Country Pâté. The Escargots in herb butter were tasteless (I had to add some salt) and one of the snails was full of stones and grit. Main course: I asked for the Homemade Country Pâté which was portioned significantly less than what our host had gotten...was it to punish me for ordering 2 appetizers? My husband ordered the lamb chops...4 chops cooked to the point where they were tough, and a potato gratin reminiscent of a brick. Our hosts ordered the Pork Marco Polo and the Smoked Salmon Salad. I cannot comment on their entrees even though a comment was made that the pork was overcooked. The Salmon Salad did not look appetizing. But, the 'pièce de resistance' was when our host ordered Crêpe Suzette and was told that 'we are out of orange jam'...whaaat? You can find orange jam in any grocery store, you should never run out of orange jam. We have dined in many restaurant that we felt were subpar, this one won first price. Needless to say, will never go back.

From our table, I could actually see my chicken sandwich sitting in the service window for quite some time before it was finally brought out. When the food arrived, the sandwich, fries, and cheese were all cold. I politely asked for the meal to be remade and inquired whether it would take another 30 minutes. Our server said they would get it out quickly and explained that they were busy. However, looking around the dining room, there were only a handful of occupied tables and two servers working. Several nearby tables were simply having drinks, so it was difficult to understand the delay. What was most disappointing wasn't even the cold food--it was the lack of acknowledgment. A simple apology or some communication about the delay would have gone a long way toward improving the experience. I understand that servers aren't responsible for cooking the food, but they do pass the service window regularly. If food has been sitting under the heat lamps for several minutes waiting on other items, someone should be checking on it or having it remade before it reaches the customer. We were hoping to add this restaurant to our list of regular dining spots, but based on this visit, it unfortunately didn't make the cut.
