Today was the Grand Opening for Eatalia Market, the new Italian Market in Waterside Place in Lakewood Ranch. It's Quaint and Cute and Perfect for It's Location In the Midst of all the Great Shops and Restaurants in This Area. It's Next Door to a Barber Shop and Right Around the Corner You Can Keep Walking to see the restaurants, boutiques, brewery, coffee shop, ice cream and more. Talk about a perfect spot. They also serve up many Italian food options, & have outside tables on the side of their building. Congrats on the new opening! What a great addition! Parking can be a bit hectic, street parking and lot parking amongst the different apartments in the area. The street parking is free, just drive around. i enjoyed the sausage and peppers, italian sub (bread was amazing) and the tricolor cake with my son- wish we had photos!! ordered online and made it very convenient to show up and eat outside, but you could also bring food to other areas of waterside and have a picnic! OUTSTANDING Sandwiches! We ordered the Chicken Cutlet on a Kaiser Roll and a Chicken Parm sandwich w/ chips and an Italian Orange drink. These were both absolutely fantastic! The sauce on the parm sandwich was the best we've ever had! There's some beautiful Italian products to purchase in this little store and prepared meals to go as well. Our only complaint was we had to get the sandwiches "to go" since there's just a few barstools inside at a window counter to eat at and some picnic tables outside w/ no umbrellas. We stopped into Italia Market while walking the Lakewood Ranch Farmers Market, and we're glad we did. The space is clean and modern with a large ordering counter, shelves of imported Italian goods (including a nice wine selection), and a small eat-in counter in the back. It didn't feel especially warm or "family-owned," and the staff's expressions were a bit flat. The outdoor seating could've been great had they opened the umbrellas--it was a hot, sunny day. Now the food--incredible. We tried the chicken cutlet sandwich with tomato potato chips, and the chicken Caesar cutlet. The cutlets were perfectly grilled--crispy without being greasy--and the bread was just right: soft yet sturdy enough to hold everything together. I added a bit more Caesar dressing to the sandwich, which made it even better. Half portions were more than enough, and at $12, a solid deal. And yes, the tomato chips are surprisingly delicious. A few ambiance tweaks and this place could be five stars. We'll definitely be back. read more

This relatively new Italian market has wonderful service and excellent food choices. It is a very small market. It's like walking up to a meat market in New York. You order they package and you can either eat it there or take it to go. There are a couple small tables inside as well as an outdoor section with tables for eating outside. The very picky Italian guys with us opted for chicken parm and Italian sausage subs. I was very impressed with the fact that they all liked what they got. We did some wine tasting, and although I don't recall the names; there are a couple of decent choices of red. I ordered a couple of meatballs. They were so tender & delicious. I'm looking forward to going back and trying some other items. read more

We were a bit skeptical about going here, because we felt the prices were a bit high for a deli sandwich. However, after reading the reviews, stating how delicious the meats & cheeses are, we decided to try. Couldn't have been happier that we went. Indeed, the sandwiches are mouth-watering, and HUGE. I wish I had a ruler to measure the size of the sandwich. Got the Italian salad with a side chicken cutlet - delicious and moist. HIGHLY recommend this place. Stopped in the New Eatalia market in waterside to pick up a few things you just can't get at any market. So glad we did! We were greeted by Jordan and his very friendly staff. We also ordered a couple of Subs to go and 2 side meatballs. Everything was delicious, I had half chicken parm and my wife had half spicy sausage with Broccoli Rabe,both were delicious. The meatball was also delicious. The trick is that the bread is shipped in from the Bronx NY.we will be back! PS.. sorry no pic of the sausage sub, my wife inhaled it..lol read more

Just got back from summer in Manhattan so I missed the opening of Eatalia Market, today was my first visit. I ordered the chicken cutlet because that's what everyone said was good. Well, I have to say it was amazing. Flavor was truly mouthwatering delicious. Full Hero (NYers don't know what a grinder is) was very large and oh so tasty. I had half for lunch and saved the other half for dinner. What I also liked is I was able to pick up some jarred Caponata and Jarred Bruschetta. Although I would prefer fresh I was happy because the Paolo's brand is quite good. Also picked up some Sopressata and some Regg Parm. I hope they take this concept even further and are able to expand on the Italian specialties. In terms of the staff, perfectly fine to take and prepare an order and then ring it up, but they are not trained on the product suite. I knew more about what they carry than the staff did but maybe over time training will prevail. If they want to attract and keep the New York foodies who know the food have no problem paying their prices, the staff will need to display the same passion for the products that the customers do. In terms of Ambiance, not sure what people would expect from what is predominantly a take out place with some seating. It is what it is, clean, open space, easily accessible. I didn't expect white linens and silverware. LOL. Overall I would highly recommend the place. I will be going back to try more of their offerings and hope they prevail in Lakewood Ranch which has manifested into having a very selective customer base with high expectations. read more

Very bad customer service. Menu was not easy to read and we were never greeted. I talked to one of the employees and asked some questions about their menu and they were very snobby and rude. Made me feel uninvited and not welcome. I just left after asking the questions since obviously my presence was not welcome. Would not recommend. read more

Although our time was limited by my guests for pre-Dinner cocktails, all of us found your Citterio Sweet Capocollo and Pepperoni and your Columbus Peppered Salame were extremely delicious! Great food but 25 minutes for a salad is a bit much of a wait time. Could have gotten from any of the restaurants in Waterside.

I am Italian and just moved here from up North. I ordered eggplant parm sandwich and chicken cutlet with prosciutto and provolone. The roll was good, but the rest was horrible. The thin cutlet was dried out, the prosciutto was so small I couldn't taste it, and you could taste nasty oil, not olive oil. The whole sandwich was dry and anemic. The eggplant was just as bad. Couldn't really detect any cheese, nasty seed oil taste and no crispy breading. The sauce was ok. Overall it was terrible. read more

We had the chicken parm sub and I simply had the a chicken cutlet sub and both were absolutely delicious. We started with an arancini ball. If you haven't had one; must try. No chairs, environment was uptight and boujie. Ordered crispy bread on 2 of the subs, both were soft. Paid $7 for beef cutlet that was left out of the order.
