I presented the phone (of which I thought they were going to promptly shake their heads "no" and send me on my way) and the guy took a look at it, said "no problem " told me how much it would cost and told me it would be ready in 30 minutes. I walked to Whole Foods, bought an iced coffee, sat outside at a table and listened to a podcast. Thirty minutes later I made my way back to the store and they handed me a perfectly repaired phone. I checked in on yelp and got a little discount. No one tried to sell me anything else and no one told me that it would cost more than expected. I put my laptop there to replace a screen, they said it would be fixed in 2 weeks. 2 months later it's not fixed and I received zero information or communication. I'm taking the laptop back and bringing it somewhere else. Absolutely ridiculous I don't care if they make some honest mistakes or order the wrong parts or whatever but delaying for 2 months with zero communication is absolutely unacceptable for a business. Update: I got the laptop back, nothing changed, they gave some excuse like "the laptop is weird and the parts they ordered didn't work." Even if that was the case, they should've communicated. The guys there are super informative and friendly. I bought my PS4 to get the fan and interior clean up. Also to check on a minor issue where it always go safe mode when I turn it on. They were busy but will have it ready ASAP. I figured it'll take two to three days. Nope, it took them on day. They cleaned out the fan and interior. Then ran a diagnostic test and found it was the wire that connects to my 3TB drive.(external 3.5) It was a faulty wire and needed a new one. Sadly they don't carry it because it's a aftermarket not factory. The good thing is they found the issue and gave me some good advice. Great guys great work and great honest price read more

Disclaimer: probably not a typical experience but indicative of service. Be careful of the owner. I came in just to get my laptop power button fixed. First, they told me it would take 2 days, which soon became 3, 5, and then 7 days. On the 7th day, I get a call that my laptop's been stolen. I had to call and negotiate with them three times to figure out how to replace the laptop. For a place that just lost a customer's laptop, I should not have had to go through the hoops and trouble that they put me through. They finally ended up purchasing another laptop for me. Came to realize it's a refurbished machine (normally understandable but the owner had agreed to purchase a new one for me) and it has proven to be buggy within a week. Again, this is probably not a typical experience but the owner is a shrewd businessman to be wary of. read more

My boyfriend took my ipad mini in for a backlight fix. He also brought the screen along just so the tech can make sure that the backlight does work. He did not ask the tech to place the screen on the board but the tech did it anyway. They charged me and arm and a leg for a quick fix but now my lcd screen is messed up and they would not fix it. The tech claimed that he noticed that the screen was bad but did not say one words to us. My thing is, if the tech noticed however many chips were broken when he went to fix the backlight and mentioned it to my boyfriend and gave him a price, you would think he would also mention about my lcd screen IF it was bad then. But no, he claimed that he had left a note about it and when we picked it up nothing was said to us. What kind of customer service allows their clients to leave without mentioning "oh btw, something else needs to get fixed". On top of that, the guy that I was speaking to was playing dumb, telling me that I must have called the wrong store when my boyfriend was in there for a half an hour arguing with them. But he was the same person who mentioned "oh you came in yesterday with him to pick it up". Never again. read more

My boyfriend had a scratch on his iphone camera lens, and they replaced his back piece for just $30. The guys were fast and friendly. My iPhone got some water damage at work. It still functioned fine but the screen had a lot of cosmetic damage due to the water. I tried the rice thing but it didn't really work. I took my phone to this place and they checked to see if there was any internal damage that would cause later problems, and they said there wasn't so all I would need was a new screen. (Thank God). This place is a god-send. I broke the screen of my iPhone TWICE in less than a week. Felt horribly ridiculous but they didn't judge. They work so fast but you'll leave with quality repair. Both times my phone was fixed in a half hour. I cannot go a day without my phone (with work emails and such flowing through) so I needed to get this fixed fast. Just a bit of a walk from my job in center city. I spent $140 for a screen replacement. There is a 6 month warranty on the work but not for physical damage. If there's a pixelated screen because of the screen replacement, they'll try to correct it for free. Of course it hurt to spend that amount of money twice, but what can you do. I am highly disappointed with service after my initial interaction with the company was splendid. The second time I called on their services it was two weeks before status was updated when I had to call them. They claimed they were waiting for parts to arrive, not a problem. Two more weeks passed and I attempted to call but could not leave a message because the mailbox was full. I stopped by since it was next door to my son's barber. My son's phone had lost mobile data (signal) and we tried troubleshooting thru the provider with no luck even after resetting the network settings multiple times. So they (the provider) wanted to send a replacement but due to my son having a small chip on the phone, it voided the warranty. Long story short...we took the phone into here and he said we ahould try updating or doing a factory reset. So we backed up everything, went into settings, clicked on Software Updates and once it was done and rebooted...SIGNAL WAS BACK!!!! They saved me a few hundred bucks!!! I just got my new screen replaced for a month and the screen is starting to strip off 1 side of the phone (I can slip my nail into it). It would not possible to happen if they are professional technology. Email them and did not get any response. This is my first time and I don't mind how much as long as the quality is good. Looking for the reviews on yelp and thought their service would be good and here we're, it turned out as nightmare. I paid $98 dollars and did get nothing. Your phone will not have any warranty. Oh yeah, I totally forgot about this review; about a month and a half ago, I had a broken yet totally usable Minidisc recorder I wanted to get repaired. Called these guys up, explained the problem, took it down there and they fixed it (yes, they are electronics geniuses!) I know Minidisc is an older technology, but I have a lot of vintage recordings I've done and I've been meaning to transfer them (plus, it's a lot cheaper than DAT and the quality is virtually the same really.) I would not recommend going to this place. I went here to get my Sony Xperia Z screen fixed. The glass on my screen was not at all scratched or cracked!!!! The digitizing screen was the one that was broken. They said it would be 3 days that became 4 to 6 to 2 and a half weeks. When I got my phone back 2day later I had a scratches on it. There is no reason for my phone to have scratches on it. I took the phone back they said oh you did it with your keys. They said it was an original SONY SCREEN. They lied my Sony screen never scratched in fact he gave me the old screen back and me and my friend repeatedly went over it with keys and chargers IT DID NOT SCRATCH MY OLD SCREEN. I asked them where did they get my replacement screen from they said SONY they lied. If they got it from SONY it would have the SONY logo at the top. My iphone 4s died on Fridayand I though I plugged it into the wall and my computer with 2 different Apple brand cords, it would not charge. I though the battery or motherboard died inside and I'd lost everything (well, except for the last back up) I found this place on google, went down to the University City location and Parshwa had replaced the battery connector and had my phone charged to 23% and working again, all for $54 Thank God I did not have to get another 2year deal and a whole new phone again! My iPhone 4S screen cracked . Although I have insurance, I really didn't want to spend the $$ to replace the whole phone. I found this store online, and the reviews were good enough that I decided to try them. i didnt realize how many of their reviews yelp filtered out. Bringing your phone here is taking a CHANCE. its very clean and neat inside the waiting area but i should have paid more attention to the work area in back. Everything seemed fine when I picked up the phone an hour later. However, when I went to take a picture with the camera app it ceased to work. I know the camera was working cause I had taken a pic only hours before dropping the phone off. I tried deleting old pics to free up some space and I tried restoring the phone to factory settings, still no good. After waiting a few days hoping it would start working again i took the phone to the Apple store. The first Genius I spoke to told me that the screen was changed by a third party,I didnt say anything about it but they could tell because it wasn't an original apple screen. After they saw how upset i was another genius technician took my case and checked the phones camera. he found the problem and said the way it was damaged could only have happened during the repair not from me dropping it. It can't be fixed because there is damage to the actual internals of the phone not the camera itself. So now i need a new phone and im out over $100 for the screen repair. read more
