I love coming here for weekday lunch. The employees are always so sweet when they remind me to grab soy/ginger/chopsticks and even while making small talk. I always purchase the salmon aburi (torched) and the seven piece omakase. I feel like the torched salmon breaks up the mildness of the omakase pieces. The bar stool seating along the window is solo diner friendly which is a plus.

I discovered Ebiko through several videos on Tiktok. It is a take and go sushi spot. You can either order online or buy in store. We got the omakase nigiri ($16.99), chutoro don ($12.99), bara chirashi ($18.50), seaweed salad ($3.50), and miso soup ($3.99). For the miso soup, bring it to the register and ask for hot water. Our favorite was the Bara Chirashi, which we definitely be back for. The chutoro don was a little on the fishy side. The omakase nigiri was just okay. Overall, for take away sushi, it was pretty good for the price. They have seatings inside, but I recommend walking 1 minute down the block, and having a picnic at Washington Square Park.

So stoked to see a location open up in North Beach! I've heard about their FiDi location, but never had the chance to try them since their hours don't really fit my schedule to be able to make the trek over. I always get the salmon aburi and the chutoro bowl, and have tried their omakase nigiri set before.

New storefront on Columbus in North Beach. Nice positive interior. Got spicy salmon roll, mochi, and a Hawaiian drink. Fun to sit in the shop. Serves sushi.

Ebiko is really clean and upon entering, there is a huge fridge that holds all their sushi that you grab and then pay at the counter. The prices are quite inexpensive. Omakase Value(4.5/5) Inexpensive less than $20 Taste(3/5) a couple of pieces of fish didn't taste fresh and the nigiris are pretty bland. California roll Value(3/5) $9 for real crab california rolls is pretty standard but you do get a few more pieces than elsewhere Taste(3.5/5) personally I like my California rolls a bit creamier. The crab itself tastes very clean and fresh. Salmon aburi Value(5/5) $13 is well priced for amount of salmon you get Flavor (4.5/5) Personally my favorite item here. The smokiness from the sear with the fattiness of the salmon was delectable. This is a great spot for quick and easy sushi for a decent meal.

This place was good, dont get me wrong. But after aji kichi, it is hard to compare objectively. I think it is good for the prices, but if i could have a choice i might go to ani. That being said, the flavors are what you expect from sushi and the lack of fishiness makes this place worth the price point. Honestly, you wanted something more quick, i would definitely go here and have more of that eel

Such fresh fish and they restock throughout the day! We pulled up around 40 mins before closing at 5pm and we were surprised to see the staff still making fresh rolls. We lucked out and got the seared salmon nigiri, the salmon sashimi, California roll and seaweed salad. Everything was amazingly priced and the California roll was real crab yumm. The fish was fresh didn't taste fishy and the quality was solid. Not to mention there is room to enjoy your meal and even drinks you can buy as well. We had a great time and would recommend for anyone nearby who wants to try. We noticed they stayed open past 5pm so if you're in a rush maybe they'll still be open :)

My friend and I were just walking back from tennis and I just needed water or something sparkling so we walked into here. From the outside it's super eye catching with its bright clean lines and once you walk inside it's bustling with people and a cute selection of sushi, drinks, and some snacks. I mainly walked into to check out the interior and it's a comfortable feel! I only grabbed water and ume sparkling but I noticed a lot of people grabbing the sushi which looks super bright. My friend and I will be going back to try the food on our way back from another tennis session! I definitely want to try the California roll and eel! Check it out!

Yum yum yum. The fish was super fresh. There's a couple of seats, but there's a park across the street to enjoy the food. A lot of selection, ended up getting the Omakase sampler ($16.99). Sushi prices range from $4.50 - $18.50 (March 2026), large variety of fish, chirashi, to uni. Hard choices to make, but all the items looked super delicious. Quick checkout and the space was clean. My favorite from the omakase sample was the o toro. Overall, good quality fish and easy to enjoy on the go.

This is a really nice and spacious location. We walked in on a Friday around opening time and they had a full spread/options. Their fish appears and tastes super fresh and they have really great prices. You can take it to go but we sat it since it was not full. They provided us with chopsticks, ginger, wasabi and soy sauce. The space is well kempt and very clean. Also in a great location in north beach.

I'm a fan. For the area, this is a great take and go or take and eat spot for those in the area. Walking by on my way to a Lent Friday lunch, I noticed this addition to this block of Columbus Street where there is no shortage of lunch choices. I made a point to have lunch two weeks later. Being pretty warm, I planned to get my food and dine inside though many (including the irrepressible Cherlynn N. (https://www.yelp.com/user_details?userid=eKUGKQRE-Ywi5dY55_zChg)), give the great suggestion to bring your food to Washington Square Park. Seating is limited with four high top counter seats, a table for two and a small counter table for two with side by side chairs. After looking at the refrigerator (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=24&select=QjEQOJ3dK9_z8Mirhbd5jw), I selected three items and walked to the cashier counter. I remembered seeing miso soup on the menu and asked the helpful cashier; she kindly went there are brought a box back in ringing it up with my other food. She also asked whether I wanted to add hot water to it now and I said yes. After paying, I moved my food away from the pay area so other customers could pay for their food. I walked to one of the window high-chairs and placed my shopping bag on the chair while carrying a couple items to the counter. I went back to the cashier to get my utensils and condiments (pickled ginger, wasabi, soy sauce packets, chopsticks, and napkins) along with my last food container. Being the only hot item, I started on the miso soup (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=0&select=YGV-gn2pGqVCNS2VML8n4Q), tofu, wakame, green onions, dashi, miso first; there is no shortage of seaweed as they expanded when hydrated and there was plenty of tofu on the bottom. My big mistake was forgetting to mix the ingredients thoroughly as there were miso paste globs that didn't dissolve until I finished more than half of the soup. Do make sure to mix the ingredients thoroughly. For my main meal, I tried the Bara chirashi (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=0&select=KHGnwNzysmJ8w-Y7cyhb6w), bluefin tuna, salmon, snow crab, bura, shiso, tobiko, tamago, rice; besides being enticing visually, the flavors of the ingredients were enjoyable. The fish pieces were fresh and the ikura gave this a flavor burst while the tobiko and shredded crab gave it a crunch and lightness. Later that evening, I paired the spicy tuna roll (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=0&select=s8uYLUbml0yB9toMU_Txwg), spicy tuna, mayo, cucumber, sesame seeds, rice, seaweed, with a bowl of soup for my dinner. It was tasty and fresh, just like my lunch chirashi and I enjoyed having it while fresh. Thanks to the kind cashier for helping me get the miso container from the fridge and filling it was water. Also, when walking to the dining section, do be careful as I accidentally spilled some of the water from the miso as the ingredients expanded as I walked. I grabbed some napkins to wipe up the hardwood floor to prevent people from slipping. I will dine here again and likely take food to go from here too. This is an excellent addition to the neighborhood.

Ebiko is a grab and go sushi spot in north beach right near Washington square park. It's very clean with cold drinks, snacks, and sushi. There's a couple bar stools near a window so limited seating. They provide nice chopsticks and soy sauce to go as well. They have a great selection for reasonable prices. We got the chef's omakase. The sushi was buttery, fresh, not too fishy at all. I really enjoyed the quality of the fish. The rice was cooked well too- not too mushy, not too hard. I am a big fan! I think this is a good spot to grab sushi and have a nice park day!
