It seemed like there was only one person working the whole shop. Parking 1/5: Parking can be pretty difficult to find. Theres metered street parking around. Ordered: I ordered Hainan chicken for takeout 3/5: the chicken was nice and juicy but the dish did not take like Hainan chicken imo. They drizzled a teriyaki/sweet sauce over the chicken which took away from the flavor and was really distracting. After having lunch nearby, my partner and I wanted something refreshing to sip on. We found this spot and decided to check it out. There were so many drink options on the menu. Ultimately, we went with two of their top drinks. The Sun Moon Lake Milk Tea has a ruby black tea base. It tasted milky with a hint of honey. We added panna cotta, which added a silky texture and made the drink better. The Jasmine Blossoms Milk Tea uses triple-infused artisan jasmine green tea. This one was fragrant and refreshing. It paired well with the milky jelly topping. Other than beverages, they serve a bunch of various foods such as dumplings, noodle soup, chicken rice, desserts, and more. I have yet to try any of these though. My main complaint is that they were majorly understaffed. Only one person was working on a Saturday, so we had to wait over 30 minutes just for our 2 drinks. After waiting excessively long, i rang the bell on the desk to get attention when a lady comes out without any greeting. She tells me she didn't see the order in the system. In the meantime another customer came in waiting for his to-go order pick up and she ignored me to help that customer first to prepare his order, without first checking the system to address my concern, telling me it'll take 5 more minutes to prepare my order. In the meantime I had to add more money to my meter parking since my time limit already expired. Customer service is severely lacking. We ordered the Sun Moon Lake Milk Tea with panna cotta & Jasmine Blossoms Milk Tea with milky jelly. Both drinks were very well made despite the lack of staff. Cups are big, sturdy, and cute. Both drinks were refreshing and not very sweet as both drinks were adjusted to 50% sugar levels. The respective toppings added to each drink is top notch as well. Definitely worth a look if you want a change from boba. Wait times for this visit did take quite long as there was only one person working. Pretty understandable since most of the orders ahead of us were food instead of drinks. Overall, would love to come back when the renovations are done. LT9 is my favorite place for milk tea in Pasadena. They have a very large variety of house made toppings, which, set them far apart from the majority of Boba shops. My favorite thing is being the milk jelly, which has a really chunky texture and I even prefer over boba. They even have an in-house milk which I've tried once and it was very rich. One of my favorite offerings is if you buy two large ones there's a discount so I always end up ordering a few extras for my family. There's plenty of seating and I believe they offer some food dishes as well for dine in options. You order on a tablet and the service is pretty sparse because most of the employees are busy in the kitchen, so be prepared to pay with card. I'm sure if you flagged someone down they can take cash, but that proves to be a bit of a challenge. There's only street parking so it can be a pain to find a spot but if you're already in the area, I definitely recommended giving LT9 a try. read more

Great spot to work at or hang out! Lt9 is my go to cafe for working at ai de they have outlets, affordable drinks, a nice interior, and it's usually not too busy/crowded. There's a self service kisosk and cashiers on site. The menu has lots of different teas and drinks to choose from, they even have an option to split drinks into two cups if you want to share with a friend. Absolutely love that as someone who loves to try and share what my friends and I get. There are lots of food and drink selections, it makes this spot perfect for a nice lunch or a quick drink run. There's also a restroom in the back for the public. Earl gray tiramisu: 7/10. Delicious fluffy and not too sweet! Not the best tiramisu I've ever had but it is still good and I love that they have a tea flavor! Was a bit disappointed that the packaging and presentation was not like the menu image. Lemon berry fruit tea 8/10: Nice refreshing drink for those who are lactose and sensitive to caffeine. The graphic design of all the menus were so chic and pretty when they first opened but their updated newer menu doesn't match their original concept. We ordered ahead of time and had to order again in the kiosk, we waited over 40 mins for our order despite ordering AHEAD of time. There was literally NO ONE when we were in the cafe, despite the people who already had their orders who left after ~ 5 mins, so it was just us. We had to ask for assistance because we've waited for so long, which was when it reached 40 mins. They told us that they'll "make it right now"... I don't usually complain about waiting or any other experience that has to do with waiting-- but the fact that there was no one there earlier and everyone else that came, AFTER a few mins later after we'd ordered, got theirs actually makes me so peeved. The drinks were ok, they lacked sweetness though, but if you like non sugary drinks you could probably go for this. It kinda make sense since there was no option to do no ice, otherwise the kiosk said that you'd have to find a new place-- or smth like that. The area seemed to still be going under renovation, lots of areas open for seating since people left after ordering and eating.
