I haven't worn hair extensions in about 3 years. I wanted to do a new hairstyle and needed to get some hair. I wasn't looking forward to it. From past experiences I felt like I was being watched. Not at this specific location but in others. I will say, this staff was a breath of fresh air. They didn't bother me. I didn't feel looked after. When I needed help they accommodated me. Other than that, they left me alone. And I appreciated that. The prices were good compared to other beauty supply stores and they had the colored hair I was looking for. They do have a paking lot but it's small and they share it with other businesses. read more

I'm very disappointed by what I witnessed during my visit. Two male staff members were speaking to a female employee in an extremely disrespectful and inappropriate way. They were criticizing her, calling her lazy, and making personal comments about her body and sexuality. They were also speaking to her harshly and telling her what to do while she was already busy helping customers. The employee looked visibly upset, and it was uncomfortable to watch. What made this worse is that they were saying these things in Spanish, likely assuming customers wouldn't understand -- but I did. Hearing staff talk about a coworker's body and sexual orientation and insult her in another language doesn't make it any less unprofessional or unacceptable. In addition, I've noticed that one of these same male employees (an older gentleman) has a pattern of being dismissive with customers, arguing instead of helping, and not being willing to assist other staff members with tasks. This creates a tense and unwelcoming environment overall. No employee should be spoken to like that, especially not in front of customers. Comments about someone's body or sexual orientation are completely inappropriate in any workplace. It reflects poorly on the store and management. I hope leadership takes this seriously and addresses staff conduct. Customers notice how employees -- and coworkers -- are treated. read more

Just got into town and I read the reviews so I almost decided to pass up this spot. I was nervous to go here but I honestly had a good visit. The staff was really awesome, helpful and pleasant. Sometimes you can't believe other reviews you have to give it a shot. A 1 service as usual! When I walked up the guard greeted me which was so nice. Didn't get greeted inside my good morning or anything. However I was told about the sales on braiding hair you guys better go get it, a dollar how can you beat that! I just wasn't doing braiding hair right now I'm trying to find locs. As I was leaving the cashier let me know about all the wonderful selves they're having black Friday until Sunday. Which was very nice of her. They also have it advertised on their wall outside the door inside the store and they have some pretty good sales going on five dollars off of purses and I've got everything I needed besides the locks. But I did find my set silky satin bonnet now I'm a happy girl so off to their sister store. read more

Came in for crochet hair. I was greeted by an older woman who was super patient, understanding and knowledgable since I had no idea what type of hair to buy (so sorry I didn't get your name). She always checked in with me as I was facing the huge bay of multiple crochet hair colors, types, lengths, styles, curly, wavy, faux braids already ready and twists already ready, (well you get the idea) Lol. What's not to love about Ebony Beauty Supply they have everything a natural hair girl could ever need. I roamed the aisles for at least a 1/2 before making my purchase just looking at everything. I needed braiding hair in the color gray I was having difficulty finding it at other stores, but I found it at Ebony. I was pleased at first with the neatness and selection in the store, however VERY disappointed by same products having different price points. When I raised the concern about 3 of the same item having diff price points the owner took no responsibility and no consideration of the issue. Also an earlier order that I purchased had an additional charge that was not my own on the receipt. When I raised the point the owner-manager returned my money with an apology. It raised some real concerns when she wouldn't give me her full name & license number with much delay. The customer service associates don't know anything about the products they're selling. I spent $50+ on hair products for my child and was told they were organic. Got home googled the ingredients and the product is are full of sulfate, parabens, alcohol, and other toxic ingredients. Went to exchange them and they said they couldn't because of COVID-19. I couldn't get my money back or exchange the products. Very deceitful business practices. The guy said "sorry." WTF is a sorry going to do for me and my money? I shop black owned and hand made now. Came here yesterday to buy shampoo and conditioner, my aunt was looking for hair, mother looking for gel, and sister was looking for hair products for herself. Long story short my mother asked my niece to hold a product for her while she looked at the stockings. The male employee ran from behind the counter and aggressively snatched it from my niece accusing her of playing in the store. We will not be coming here ever! Awesome beauty supply store. Came into pick up a few things for my 2 little daughters and the staff were extremely helpful and very welcoming. We stopped by after going to a Disney on Ice show at the arena and saw it as we were driving by. The store was so huge with a ton of stuff. Can't imagine not finding anything you'd need here. Would definitely recommend it for locals. We were just visiting from out of town, but I'm sure it's great for the neighborhood. read more

I went to two beauty supply stores before finally finding what I needed there and a few other things as well. Just a note the parking lot is hella small but there's always a spot! They've got almost everything you need at this location! Love that this one is near me and in a pretty central spot. The parking is terrible midday when everyone is shopping in that tiny plaza but i don't mind parking on the street and walking over. Prices are what you;d expect an they have sales from time to time. I love this beauty supply as well as the awesome customer service, they are very knowledgeable about all their products. They have the best selection of braiding, weaving hair and wigs. They always have a wide range of colors and lengths. All kinds of hair care products even jewelry (costume). I love how they have many colors of ombré! I felt so uncomfortable in this store,the cashiers watched me like I was a thief. This store DOES NOT have a wide variety of products. I went to ask the cashier about certain products that I was looking for in particular she didn't know so she asked the other guy there he said they didn't have it with an attitude I should have walked out then. She watched me so much I stopped shopping. Sally's can get expensive, but guess what she can have my money. As soon as these places realize they sell OUR therefore they need OUR money.
