Apparently diamonds are cheaper in certain areas because of competition and availability which is understandable. It is your traditional Asian owned jewelry store. They had a small selection, but we were able to find the perfect bangle. It would have been a couple thousand more if I had bought it at an American store and at least 5,000 more if I bought it at Tiffany's or Bailey, Banks & Biddle. I just loved it. So simple and elegant. They let us pick out our diamonds and it was made then and there. They will work around your budget and if you have cash, even better. I think we got a fabulous deal. So much so that my mother was able to get a gorgeous diamond necklace for herself. The service is great and they even cleaned all our other jewelry while we waited. I don't think I can go back to shopping in an American store. You just don't get the greatest bang for your buck.

The resizing process was very strange, multiple resizing tools were used, leading to confusion. The ring was resized incorrectly, so they offered to resize again. Generally at this point, the fee for resizing should be refunded. During the process the ring was resized incorrectly several times. There was no communication through out the process. After the ring was resized correctly, the Opal came back damaged and there was a flaw in the band. There was no communication about anything, the customer service is severe lacking, especially for a luxury goods dealer. The entire experience has soured my view of Esqueleto, I will never refer anyone, if I know anyone who is thinking of purchasing through them o would strongly suggest against it.

They repeatedly accused me of lifting weights in the jewelry. I assure you I put it on and typed on a computer. I don't wear it because it looks horrible and makes me mad. One year & two years later our bracelets have held up so well, no breaks. Sienna, who does their permanent jewelry, is lovely and super attentive to detail. When we went in for our newest bracelets, they kindly cleaned our other ones, as the stones had gotten a little grubby in the past year. They have a wide ranging selection of chain styles and tons of beautiful charms to add on. We were also able to request a particular stone/setting in advance. All of the sales staff are friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable! We have shopped at their original Oakland location during busy hours when they have gracefully been juggling multiple customers and still made the point to check in with us. Their Berkeley space is super open with lots of room for browsing. We tried on a number of rings and they were so helpful in explaining different settings, stone cuts, etc. I wilk be shopping here for years to come!
